16 reviews for Romeo's Pizza And Pasta
One of the Business' Favorite Reviews What's This?
When I lived in Nor-cal this was in my top three places to get food in petaluma. I was a regular at the location by the SRJC.
I would usually get the Mediterranean salad and garlic cheesy bread. The staff would always hook me up with extra banana peppers.
I still haven't found a place that makes a comparable salad in s. Cal
I miss Romeo's:(
I haven't actually eaten anything from Romeo's, or even been there before, but...
Today I ordered a pizza delivered to my boyfriend's work. I asked that they shape the pepperoni pieces into a heart, and they said, "no problem!"
Well, they surpassed my expectations and shaped the whole freaking pizza like a heart!! The universal consensus among my bf's coworkers now is that I'm "the best girlfriend in the world."
Thanks Romeo's! You rock!
I've only eaten in the restaurant once, ok atmosphere. But the way to go is the take and bake. By far the best in town. get a coupon and preheat your oven. Perfect crust.
I've never eaten in the restaurant because of the parking situation, but when picking up take out, I've noticed it's very clean and well maintained.
We usually opt for delivery since we are over on the East Side and it's more convenient again because of parking. The pizza is wonderful! It is always cooked perfect with the right amount of cheese to sauce ratio and arrives HOT! The prices or reasonable, and if you keep your eye out for the coupon mailers, you will find some good deals in there, like buy 2 entrees, get the 3rd free, or Large pizza, 6 pack of soda, and garden salad for $21.99. Quality and price beat the chains every time.
If you order the Large size pasta, you can easily feed two people, and it comes with yummy garlic bread (ask to add cheese). My only complaints are the parking and the Meatballs. Sometimes they are good, and other times they seem like leftover, and dried out. I'm Italian so maybe I'm a little picky :)
Once Football season starts, I am going to check out their $2 Mondays. Beer, and slices for $2 and Monday Night Football! Splendido!!
not very good pizza. had a drink there that tasted like they didnt wash the glass too good.
Next time i want palmolive lager i will make it straight out of my own dishwasher.
Well here's my next restaurant opinion that will result in hate mail & death threats.
Scenario: Patty & I are working the 3pm - midnight shift at the hospital. We're getting slammed by patient traffic. We're starving. The cafeteria is closed. We debate which pizzeria to call. Neither of us has eaten a Romeo's pizza. Since I'm in the middle of some emergency patient disaster, I let Patty decide on the pizza, which we'll have to gobble in 4 minutes flat. She orders the BBQ chicken. She must be thinkin' we're gonn'a get some west coast gourmet goodness.
20 minutes later we get a pizza like slab covered with a disgustingly sweet & unctuous bottled BBQ sauce, flabby water logged fake flavor chicken nuggets and slices of purple onion. The tasteless dough is chewy & undercooked. The cheese is gummy bear mozzarella. Sounds yummy, doesn't it? Tasted even worse.
How do places that serve food this bad continue to stay in business? Astounding.
Proof positive that you CAN fool most of the people most of the time...
Great place for a big slice of pizza at lunch. Staff is very nice and courteous... pizza is good for the price. ive only had the 1/4 of a large pizza slice deal at lunch, but am planning on trying other items on the menu.
Nice, quiet dining area where you can relax and enjoy your lunch. Staff even checked to see if i needed a refill or anything.
Great items on the menu.. i look forward to trying more
I'm going to prob go back and try what everyone on yelp said to do. My downfall was taking it to go. So not as fresh as it could have been, but it was movie night so what can you do. Our spinach salad was BOMB and the pizza was pretty good. Wasnt a huge fan of the garlic cream sauce tasted a bit mayo like. But the pesto was good. They are super nice & friendly there, so huge thumbs up on that. Think I might try out there pasta next time since they got good reviews on that.
The first thing I noticed about this place was its cleanliness. When it comes to restaurants, this is very important to me. Though I realize that restaurants are never TRULY clean, this one appeared to be so, and I even noticed the waitresses pulling out spray sanitizer after clearing tables. Impressive.
Now, onto the food. The pizza is nothing to write home about, but it isn't cardboard either. The pepperoni is awesome, and the cheese was melted but not burnt. Perfect. The crust could have used something extra - it sort of just tasted like plain bread. Almost distracted me from the excellence of the rest of the pizza.
They take the Sonoma Savings card, so it's worth it to get a big discount on your first time there. They're worth trying. It's a very simple-looking, uncluttered place. The pizza is filling, and it's not overly expensive.
(done with a south philly accent) I gives em 3 pepperonies. Ehhhh not too much soooace .Right amounta cheeze and sum nice eeehhh emmmm, greezy pepperoni there...eeeehhh check em out.
This place has great pizza. You can order on-line and pick up, which i have done now twice. Very convenient. I have only been inside of the restaurant once for a pick up, but from what i could see the staff are very helpful and friendly, the place is very clean and there is a nice family atmosphere. I will definitely eat there in the future.
I've tried spaghetti and meatballs at a number of restaurants in the area and Romeo's is the best, they have 2 sizes, the $11.99 is enough for 2 easily, comes with good garlic bread.. .and a tip, if you don't have a coupon check their website, I found a free large fresh salad coupon online... again enough for 2.

love the pizza, not the hours.
they close at 9 which has been pretty inconvenient every time i want me some romeo's pizza.
but the food i have nothing but good things to say. the sauce they use has a great kick to it. with pepperoni, it's almost a little spicy. soo amazing. forget the huge franchise pizzerias, this one tops them all.
We went there because we had the restaurant dot com coupon. very nice place, good service. i am not an expert in pizza but it was good. would go there again if i get a coupon :)
Romeo's is a truly great pizzeria in Petaluma. I think the most impressive thing about this place is that most of the ingredients are made in-house...their sauce, crust, meatballs, and clam chowder are all incredible. It's refreshing to see that amongst all of the chain pizza joints, this place that's been in business for something like 25 years in Petaluma is still doing things right. Their homemade lasagna (both their pesto veggie and meat lasagna with meatballs and bechamel sauce) are fantastic, and they give out huge portions.
The only drawback is that their new location is a little bit removed to attract the downtown foot traffic, and the parking situation there isn't the greatest for a destination restaurant. That said, I still give them 5 stars because the product is truly exceptional. I highly recommend their roasted veggie pizza with pesto sauce (I like to add broiled chicken to it), and either of their lasagna options. They also do a great Mediterranean salad, and their clam chowder is awesome.
