Food is fine but the service is just awful--especially from the guy who takes the orders. There is something wrong when I feel like I need to appease the person selling me sandwiches, just in case he is in one of his moods. I used to go here often but got tired of dealing with the attitude.
Whenever visiting clients in the neighborhood, this the spot for a quick and delicious lunch. Nothing fancy, bread is all made on site, as well as "homemade soups" , like Mom makes(maybe not my Mom, but if your Mom can cook)
I asked, a "Mom" works there, but it is her two sons who run the place, she runs the food, and buses tables.
I usually opt for the soup and half sandwich, tortilla soup, or chicken noodle, like Mom would have made if she could cook. Turkey and avocado, always fresh. My partner digs the BBQ chicken salad or the quiche of the day.
Be sure to "sneak" a brownie sample by the register, a whole brownie easily feeds two or one if you're powerful hungry.
Often very busy, but surprised there is not a line out the door every day, great change of pace from the suburban chain fare.
Rude, indifferent service - we used to enjoy Rolls sandwiches, but it just isn't worth suffering that guy's attitude. There are lots of other places with good food that actually want and appreciate our business.

We've been long time customers of Rolls - good sandwiches and salads, but not big on personality.… Read more »
Great fresh food and friendly service. You can't get much better than the chicken club or the BBQ chicken salad. Rolls is an overall office favorite.
GREAT deli! Always full on weekdays...good soup and sandwiches. Nothing fancy, just good food.
For a year I worked at a salon nearby and we went to Rolls all the time for lunch.
If you want real food, not processed this is the place to go. The chicken club was always a favorite of everyones. I also like the turkey Havarti sandwich.
The salads are always good, order half though and get something else to go with it, the soups are yummy too!!!
yes, it's always busy and it's not a cheap lunch but you can go away feeling like you did something good for your body. Try it you won't be disappointed.
Rolls! Oh how I miss the days that I used to work across the street and we would go here for lunch almost every single day. It was always packed of people and everybody really enjoyed it.
My favorite is the BBQ chicken salad. I have tried to make it myself at home and it never comes out the same. Their ranch dressing is very yummy, and of course their rolls are too!
If you are a frequent customer they have the little stamp cards that entitle you to one free lunch after you bought so many. I threw mine away, so I'm sorry I don't know how many exactly it is you need. My guess is 10 or 12.
Go here and give it a shot. I don't think you will be disappointed!
My tummy is growling now!

I can't believe there aren't more reviews of this place! I used to work across the street and would come here a lot. The prices are a little high, but the food is good! They do remember you the more you come, which is nice. I enjoy the Chicken Club, Turkey Cranberry and their salads. If you order a half order of the salad, you generally get the same amount as the full order for much less $$. They also have samples of the desserts out as well, very tastey! They have excellent cookies too!
The place is clean and usually very crowded. I got a salad, a half of a veggie sandwich and a snapple for almost $11 which I think is pretty steep for a deli but come on, this is SAN RAMON.
The BLTA was excellent! The avocado wasn't sliced but creamy like guacamole and it was seasoned too. Delicious!
The samples of the brownie that was displayed on the plate was sooo yummy and moist!
i've only been here once, but when my company orders sandwiches for lunch, rolls is on the rotation. i don't know the exact name, but i always get the one with chicken, bacon, and cheese. it also comes warm and dripping with a light honey mustard dressing. the cookies are also yummy, about the size of a palm but very thick.
