One of my all time favorite places to stay. Friendly, convivial atmosphere perfectly reflects the best of Williams. Old school motel that has been perfectly updated to be modern and cozy. Guests spend time lounging outside in the courtyard. Quiet. Easy walk to Williams shops and restaurants.
Williams is great at night, well worth an overnight and very close to Grand Canyon south rim. -

this was a very nice hotel to stay in. We stayed two nights on a Labor day weekend and the price was surprisingly affordable for a 2 queen suite.
From the outside, it looks like a drab motel, but once inside there were 2 VERY comfortable 4 post queen beds. We just melted into the beds after a 5 hour drive. the bathroom's were very large and clean. The decor is very sleek and modern. Mirrors, dark wood, granite.
We had an extra livingroom area with new leather couches, flat screen TV, fridge and microwave. The staff were very friendly and set it up so we could check in at 3 am.
However don't expect much from their complimentary breakfast. i would skip that and just go down the street to a bakery or restaurant for breakfast. -

The rooms in this hotel have been recently refreshed and remodeled. We booked the room with two queen beds. It has a separate seating area in the room with the tv which opens up the room and makes it quite spacious for 4 people.
One thing to consider if you have small kids is that the doors only have the deadbolt lock and not the secondary door security latch/chain usually found at chain hotels.
The amenities include coffee maker, mini refrigerator, and microwave in room. The hotel also offers free continental breakfast in the morning (bagels, toast, coffee, juice, yogurt, and fruit). -

Very nice. This is an up-to-date, yet vintage motel that fits with the Route 66 area in Williams.
I chose this place because of its competitive rates and the clean, retro motel feel that it appeared to have. When when spends the night and spends a little time in this nostalgic area on route to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, this place fully delivers.
To my surprise, the rooms have been remodeled in contemporary fashion. The new carpet, tiles, paints, and fixtures were all in earth tones. The walls displayed cool, retro artwork and the bed linens kept the contemporary vibe.
In short, I loved the place. I plan to return to the area the next chance I get and I will most certainly stay here. -

We stayed at the Roadway Inn for a few nights while visiting the Grand Canyon. I was kind of disappointed in the town of Williams, but this hotel by far looked like the best place to stay. It had recently been remodeled and our room was very nicely decorated and had a king bed and flat screen TV. The lobby provided pastries in the morning (the wrapped Hostess kind, not fresh).
My biggest complaint is that the room was so small. And I mean really small. There was no closet or dresser or anywhere to put your clothes, so you had to live out of your suitcase. And this is no fault of the hotel, but unfortunately we were staying right in the midst of a biker gang who was up all night and revving their bikes. So annoying. The walls are pretty thin and you are right by the railroad tracks so you can easily hear the trains.
The hotel is pretty much in the center of the main "strip" so well within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. -

Clean motel, near the center of town. Office staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was nice. My husband didn't like the bed but I was comfortable. We were here in the Spring time and didn't mind that the office and breakfast were across the street. Might not be convenient if the weather is cold.

after arriving in Williams for gas and deciding to stay the night after driving from las Vegas, I yelped the hotels in the area. not looking for much than a cheap price, comfy bed, and a tv, we originally were going to stay at the Fairfield inn. deciding to eat on it, we went to the pine country family restaurant (which I highly reccomend). we rechecked yelp, and changed our minds to rodeway
we called and carol, one of the owners, was so sweet and helpful, staying on the phone with us until we found it. although the hotel is two parts across the street, we had no problem finding our room. although it was rather small, with no room to store our things (which we didn't mind since we were only spending the night) it was comfy and felt like home. nice HDTV mounted on the wall and a heater that we could control. the bathroom, however, was freezing, but we didn't spend much time in it.
we left around 6 am to race to see the sunrise at the grand canyon (also highly recommended) and upon returning to take a quick nap before checkout, we found that the maid had already started cleaning. we called the front desk, desperate to take a quick nap before our seven hour drive to Santa fe, and for twenty bucks they let us stay in the room for an extra couple hours to regain energy
we don't know about the breakfast because we missed it due to our trip to the GC, but when we went to the office to pay for our nap, they had some coffee and breads and packaged pastries. -

Milpitas, CA
If you are looking for simple, clean accommodations, this hotel provides it. My room was great for one person. Small with a king size bed. Not even room for a table and chair! No phone but an HDTV plasma screen mounted on the wall. Basically, this is an old motel that has been significantly and tastefully renovated. The bed is comfortable and everything is very clean. Maid service is thorough. Desk staff is very friendly. Right in downtown Williams with shops and restaurants and a stone's throw from the Grand Canyon railway so expect to hear train noises a couple of times during the night (not significant or long-lasting). Be sure to visit JD's Espresso next door for a great coffee & warm donut in the morning!
