OH MY CHOCOLATE GOD!!!
I loved so many things in this little chocolate shop, that if i wrote them all out here, my review would be a mile long.
So maybe If i just wrote what I didnt like, this would save alot of time....
But wait. there isnt a single bad thing about this cute little chocolate shop.
Oh well,
Prices are fair, but then again, who puts a price on chocolate! -

Don't take a girl with dairy issues and a guy with sugar ones to a place that primarily serves fudge unless you want to hear either of them groan about what they wish they could eat but cannot.
At least I found they also sold pretzels and salt water taffy.
The amount of bees roaming throughout the inside and outside of this store was highly disturbing. We quickly left.Listed in: Day Trippin' in Solvang, CA

I gave it the old college try, but maybe it just wasn't my cup of tea. I got the sugar-free treats and they had that funky tang to em' that makes it glaringly obvious that they used a knock-off sugar.
And the sugar-free ones were overly rich. I never thought I'd say something like that. (Chocolate that's TOO rich? How could that ever be possible? lol) But it was and it gave me an awful stomach ache. I'll give em' an A for effort but when it comes to sugar-free, See's or Godiva has em' beat by a mile.Listed in: Yikes!, Solvang-a-palooza

I don't know if it is because of nearby competition, but the chocolate of the Macadamia Clusters here were very good. The chocolate was rich, but didn't taste like the cheaper quality that I think they use at more inner city locations.
(Or heck, maybe it was the heat, I was hungry, and the aromas of all the chocolate made it taste better!) -

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory was the only place my mom would buy fudge when I was growing up. And, if I was really lucky, she would buy me one of those candy apples and let me have it then and not later. That was the important part you see.
I haven't had either of these things in such a long time! I think next time I get a few days off I might venture that way and get some candy apples, and licorice from the Vinhus. -

Rocky Mountain used to be an AWE-SOME fudge maker but since it was sold/bought a lot of the fun and unique perks got taken out. The guy who used to own RMCF had this antique green Model-T that he would park in front of the store, and he would put this huge stuffed teddy bear in the front seat. I blew twenty bucks at Circus Circus as a little kid in Vegas trying to win a bear so I could copy his teddy style. The former owner also used to do these fudgemaking demonstrations followed by samples of fresh fudge for the crowd.
Now, I'm not sure whether they still make any fudge onsite, though it's still very good fudge and they've continued a lot of the original flavors, plus the huge red candy and caramel green apples I've always loved RMCF for. The only beef and -1 star I have is that although they claim the fudge won't melt, it didn't survive a trip to summertime Japan. If they hadn't assured me it would hold up, I wouldn't have even chanced choco, but semi-melted fudge (still tasty, just not so attractive) was all I had to show for my lack of horse sense.
I want my big bear.Listed in: The Danish Capital of the…

This review is strictly based off the old fashioned hand dipped ice cream bar with peanuts.
I used to love the ones inside the mall with the assorted toppings. It is so nostalgic and when we found out that they were serving this, we were so excited.
However, my desire to have almonds was crushed by the girl serving when she said, sprinkles or peanuts only. A lot of their chocolates had almonds on them, so to think that they only had two toppings was... well, a bit sad.
Ordered 3 of these for my sister and brother in law.
Chocolate was too rich and the peanuts didn't help. My nostalgic memories were crushed.
Er.... so sad. -

If you love sweets, you need to come here. We walked in and my mouth dropped open in amazement. Anything your belly could ever dream of was right in front of me. They have the most amazing selection of candied apples with a variety that will blow you away - rocky road, snickers, oreo, etc etc etc. I have never seen so many options. We got the snickers apple, avalanche bar, and a dark chocolate marshmallow stick. I didn't know what to expect for the apple but it was INCREDIBLE!!! The apple was so fresh and delicious - and there was probably an inch of snickers goodness on the outside. She sliced it for us so it was easy to enjoy. The avalanche bar is like a rice krispy treat amplified with amazing peanut chocolateness and the dark chocolate marshmallow stick was to die for. Thank god I do not live here!! But I can come visit when need be!

I'm not really a big fan of fudge but my boyfriend begged me to go in here one day after antique shopping down the street. I had a candied apple and it was delcious although it was way too much for me to finish at once it was so good I actually wrapped it up and saved it for later :) hehe! If you're ever in Solvang make this place one of your stops!
