My mom was on business so we stayed here. She's stayed here probably 3 or 4 times.

When we booked, we requested a room on the first floor facing the green belt. When we checked in, we were given a room on the second floor but it was facing the green belt which was a nice view.

The room was quite comfortable and clean. The bathroom lights were weird and sometimes dim, but the shower was big.

The free continental breakfast was nice too - bagels, yogurt, waffles, coffee, orange juice, milk, fruit, and cereal. And the bagels were fresh and moist, not like old and dry.

I heard this place is turning into a Holiday Inn express though so things might be better or worse after that.

It was a nice stay and I can see why my mom returns.

Stayed at the Rocklin Park during our friends wedding. The group price was great.

Wi-fi was "included", but we could only use it via the ethernet cable while in our room. From the lobby you could use the actual wi-fi signal.

The room used for the wedding reception was nice, but didn't seem to have air conditioning.

Other than those things, we had no problems. The place was clean and quiet, although we understand it was near capacity because of all the wedding guests.

Breakfast was basic (bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, OJ, coffee, etc.) but at least they had a waffle machine.

RUDE EMPLOYEES AND A RIP OFF!!!!!

Stayed here a couple of times in years past for sport related events, have never had an issue, UNTIL now!!
They charged me for a room reservation, which I did not make( they keep your credit card number on file). They refunded one nights stay, but will never call me back about the other night's refund. Spoke with the manager Anne, who said she will call me back (she has never returned my calls and has hung up on me also). I have probably called and left like forty messages since, August 1st. I cannot understand how a business can employ someone so rude!!
I have also filed a claim with the BBB. Anne said it is my prerogative and continued to hang up on me!!!
WOW!!!! Why can't I give then no stars???

My family stayed in this establishment for Christmas.  We Checked in late to find only one employee in the entire hotel.  I gave him my credit card and enquired about a roll-away bed, that was requested on the initial reservation.  He told me they could not provide one, but admitted that it indeed was requested in the notes.  We went to our room, but found that the door would not open.  Went back to the desk, got new keys, still didnt work.  Went back to the desk, whereby the clerk left the desk, (which he said he could not do for a roll-away) and tried the 3rd set of keys, whereby a knock comes from within the room. (it was already occupied!)  He gives us another room and comps a room for lack of a roll away.  -- I go away happy.

Until I come back the next night (Christmas!)  where i am faced with the same issue with the door.  Go to the front desk where Jim the front desk guy, tells us we would be paying an additional 109, for the extra room.  i asked him if he put a roll-away into the original room, where he tells me there was not one requested (Lie #1)  then he tells me the manager emailed me explaining the situation.  (Lie #2) I ask to see the manager, and he tells me that hes the only one there.  I ask him to check us out, we will need to stay at another hotel.  He tells me that that's fine.  we get our stuff out of both rooms, and when we come back and request our folio, he tells me I cannot have one. (Lie #3)

needless to say, they attempted to charge me for both rooms that night, its up to the credit card companies now!

Some merry Christmas at the Rocklin Park Hotel!

I wanted so so much to like this place... and there is much to like. Its just if they could fill the gaps, it could be such a wonderful hotel experience!

Nice modern building conveniently located right off from I-80.  When I arrived, the curb appeal is great, parking is easy. Front desk was effficient in a quick check-in, if not friendly. Hmm... I notice a couple of open bottles of wine across the lobby.. perhaps complimentary to guests? I guess not as the clerk made no mention of the wine and certainly didnt invite me to come back after I settled in and enjoy a glass.

The room is decent size, and has a few nice extras like robes (there is a spa on site, right?) free wireless internet, and a minibar. My room even had a cute little terrace for 2. Oh god... did they get the curtains and bedspreads from a Motel 6 auction?  That tacky icky cheap worn synthetic thing going on.

Bath typical for a hotel; clean bright functional if not luxurious. But where did these other guests come from? I didnt expect ants and little fruit flies watching me do my business.

This place could easily be a 4 or 5 star property with just a few small but important adjustments. At $119, it was a good value for what it was. Turn the service and amenities up a notch or two and I'd gladly allow my company to pau a good deal more.

this place ruined my wedding night.

    zero stars. ZERO.

we booked out the room weeks in advance and my wedding planner called the week of to make sure that our room (the largest suite they offer) was still available.

now, i understand that we didn't check in at some convenient hour like ten o'clock, but my husband and i weren't the couple that sneaks out of their reception to go do it.... we showed up at the hotel at 2 am.

oh, by the way, i'm in my wedding dress. i guess i was kind of expecting some kind of congratulations, but that was apparently too much to ask for.

the girl at the counter was so rude i thought she could not possibly be for real. then, she flippantly told me that she "gave our room to some other girl in a white dress"

um, are you kidding me? some other chick in a white dress?! you're such an idiot that you thought white dress= big suite?? really?

so, she kindly (insert sarcasm here) comp'd us a room with two Queen beds... sweeeeeeeeet. big loss for you, lady. it's two am, that room's not getting rented tonight... duh.

we had to ask for any other kind of compensation for our shitty night, and she was like, "oh, i can't really.... well, here's some warm champagne"

once again, FOR REAL? you f'd up my wedding night and you offer me warm champagne?

so i walk up to our room (like TOM C said, :id they get the curtains and bedspreads from a Motel 6 auction?  That tacky icky cheap worn synthetic thing going on"...) to add to it, it was like some cheesy fake american indian pattern. sick.

i was later promised a spa or restaurant gift certificate, but got nothing as of 4 months later. i then wrote a nasty letter and was told that they weren't authorized to do that. instead, we got a free two nights stay.

saweeeeeeet. like i want to stay in that crap-hole.

don't stay here. the people are rude, the place is dirty, and they don't keep reservations or promises. you will have better luck at the days inn 5 minutes away. it's not as pretty initially, but they'll at least treat you well.

looks like something from the 60s.   Needs remodeling. No Zinfandel Grill anymore, It is all different. I needs to be bought by somebody with money. It needs a bail out.  This could be a cool retro hotel for the area.  Boring look to it from the freeway. Always ;looks empty.  A yelp for help.

This is a cool hotel but very slow. I'm on my second night here and I've only seen one other guest (I think it was a guest). It would be nice to meet other guests but that's not going to happen here and that is the only reason I'll pick another hotel next time I'm in town.

It's cheap! it's clean! It's safe! The staff are totally nice! Not some place you would want to spend your wedding night but, you know, just fine for a place to flop after the casino. Biggest problem I could find is the lack of hard boiled eggs at the continental breakfast. I got over it because the hot tub was relaxing-- they had corney California music quietly piped in as we soaked under the moon. Picture this- two middle aged ladies soaking it up with the soundtrack, you know this song, you do, It's the Right Time of the Night For Making Love. Is it Crystal Gayle? Internet and basic cable. Less than 10 miles from Thunder Valley Casino.
