Ah Rockledge. This is by far and away my favorite course in the area, partly because I get a resident discount, and partly because of the staff (Rich, Andrew and Colin) and partly because of the country club feel.  The course is impeccably maintained. Greens are in excellent shape, fairways nice. About the only problem is the pace of play. Unfortunately because it is a public course, there are people who either are not familiar with golf etiquette (play to keep up with the group in front of you) or who think they are playing in the US Open and must analyze each stroke from six different angles.  Then there are those who are on their cell phones (c'mon the point is to get away from the phone) and then the seniors!  But overall, the course is fair, challenging to those who want a challenge and easy enough for the beginner.  There is a driving range, two practice greens, a practice chipping area near hole 2 and 11, a snack bar (no snack cart girls though!) and a good restaurant for the 19th hole.  The pro-shop is well stocked, the lockers clean, and there are water fountains on the course.
