They have one of the best gelato I've ever had. Don't know exactly where they got it.... but it's SOOOO good.

No more eggettes, sadly. But I'll always come back for their milk tea, and gelato ;)

i ordered the mint oreo drink, which was good at first... but it was a little bit more chunky than i expected. while there was a minty aftertaste, i was hoping that there would be more mint.

i don't know if the guy who made it was too lazy to blend it longer or something, but i totally got a stomach ache after. i'll give this place three stars because i did enjoy the drink for the most part, but it seemed like they were a little indifferent when making it... don't know if i went during an off day or something.

I was so disappointed after I came here a few months ago. I must have come right before they eliminated their eggettes, but that's specifically what I had come for. Why would you get rid of your eggettes when your froyo sucks?!

Froyo was icy and it melted fast. Basic flavors, not a lot of choices. I've had way better.

I had a groupon that gave me half off, which was the only reason why I didn't feel like I wasted my money.

Was bored on a day off and decided to look up yelp for a boba place in the neighborhood. Was super excited to find a boba place with eggettes in the Glen Park area, walked there, and EPIC FAIL.

This place does not serve eggettes and had a very limited menu. They serve like five drinks (okay, maybe a couple more) and their boba was nothing spectacular. Taste-tested the froyo and it was somewhat below average for my taste. Left the place a bit disappointed (maybe more so in the yelp reviews, since it wasn't updated. I'm guessing there was a change of ownership or what not?), but I guess I should have been less lazy and drove to Sunset or Richmond - lesson learned!

4 stars for the yogurt and boba but this place deserves a 5 for all the other amenities.

Pros: Large clean space, big screen TV with surround sound (which was playing Inception at the time), good boba with a lot of flavors, warm cookies and tons of toy vending machines, which I thought was pretty cool.

Cons: A little pricey, but then again it's SF.

Overall: Cool little Glen Park neighborhood hangout.

This is a great place for families and especially kids. They have a big flat screen TV thats always set to the Disney Channel. Their frozen yogurt is really good but my favorite thing to get is the Oreo Smoothie. They are to die for!

I read reviews saying this place served eggettes. I walked a mile to get here, greatly anticipating said eggettes.

I would rate this lower for false advertising but I think this is yelps fault. This is NOT a place that sells eggettes. It sells froyo and smoothies and that jazz.

If you come here with that it's ok. It's not memorable and honestly, I probably would just go somewhere else for froyo because it's kind of pricey and tastes just like every other place.

On the positive hand they give you a cookie with purchases over 5 dollars.

Pricey, and you can find better elsewhere. Go somewhere else.

NO more eggettes...what a bummer. But that doesn't stop me from coming here on a hot day.

Thanks to the Yelp app check-in offer, you can get a free milk tea with any drink purchase. In fact, I already used the offer twice--there doesn't seem to be a limit..and ignore the expiration date if there is one. Generally, they remember I'm a regular and will hook me up with their deals.

Drinks are on the pricey side, I agree. I actually went all the way to the South San Francisco location (it's called Eggettes there) for my eggettes fix. And the prices at the South SF store were cheaper. But again, driving uses up gas.

I'm still a loyal customer because they do listen to me when I request for "less sugar." The watermelon slushy is made from the actual watermelon, not from powder, which is a plus for me. I hate drinking blended, artificial-flavored powder. Without tapioca (a healthy choice), the bill comes out to $3.95 for the watermelon slushy + free milk tea.

What motivates me to go to Rockit Swirl is their promotion. Otherwise, it's good ol' water for me.

Bring back eggette if you can! We miss it dearly :/

Eggettes recently changed hands. The new name is "Rocket Swirl" and now they serve GELATTO and have an improved snack menu!! I could get even fatter here, but am restricting my visits here to twice a week for reasons of obesity. I saw a handsome, fit,  Asian guy with a plate of fries, chicken tenders, and egg rolls --  washing it all down with a smoothie. I hate him. Although they do serve an extra-small cup of gelato, they fill it up way over the top, so beware, dieters. There are non-fat froyo options available, but who wants a Hyundai when a Porche is staring you in the face?

While they do serve coffee-flavored smoothies/drinks, I wish they also served iced coffee and/or had a small espresso machine for those need-to-recover from a sugar crash times.

I came by recently to find out that they no longer have Eggettes, which not only made me a major sadface, but also the fact that I came all the way over here from East Bay since no other places in the East Bay make (or made... now) it as good as they did.

I ended up just leaving empty-handed because there's nothing else that interests me there anymore.

Their drinks are made from powder so it's not that great and you can definitely taste the powder. And ehh, yogurt, I don't really think I need to venture all the way across the Bay for that because Pinkberry it is not!

I honestly have no reason to come to the Glen Park area anymore. SADFACE!

Came to get tapioca after eating a burrito and it was ALRIGHT. Wasn't anything special. I got the oreo smoothie drink with tapioca and it was a tad too sweet. I probably wouldn't come back again unless I was in the area but I'll try something else next time.

Service wasn't bad. Friendly front end who greeted you when they take your order. Drinks came out pretty quick.

***Parking***: Street only so parking might be hard to find. This street is fairly busy as well.

***QUICK TIP***: Check in on yelp to get a free milk tea!

Cash/Credit/Debit are all accepted here. However, there is a small fee (~$0.30) for using credit/debit.

I came to Rockit Swirl tonight with Julia D. and they have gone through some changes since my last visit.  Eggettes, it seems, are gone, as are those bubble teas I think.  I wasn't really interested in either, so I'm not concerned.  New offerings include gelato (tonight I got a small cup of cookies and cream gelato) and an assortment of fried snacks.  Still available is my trusty fro-yo, and plenty of flavor options.  Julia D. got "taro" flavored.  I don't know what that is, and am no closer to figuring it out after tasting it.  I should probably Google this flavor when I am done writing.

My favorite part about Rockit Swirl is the couch area.  There is a big couch and some nice chairs around a coffee table and a GIANT TV.  Julia D. said she felt like she was in someone's living room, and we both agreed that this was a positive feeling.  The music was great, and I very much enjoyed sitting on a comfy couch, fist pumping to good music, eating gelato, and reading an Us Magazine about Will and Kate (my faves!).

A lovely evening was had by all!

The store previously known as "eggettes" this is a mainstay for our family.  A variety of desserts, drinks and snacks, free wifi and friendly staff makes this locally owned dessert place well worth your patronage.

This is a great place to go for dessert after eating in one of the Glen Park eateries, after spending some time at the library or while waiting for the bus.

Came here last Friday to meet a friend. I expected Eggettes and already made plans with a friend so too late to switch venues last minute. Oh well decided why not give it a try anyway and see if the new froyo shop lives up to its title.

Made my own custom yogurt mixed with two froyo flavors and a bunch of toppings. Total came down to $3.65 for half filled cup. Price is expected like all other froyo places in SF. Froyo taste was standard. Nothing stood out. Everything else on the menu ranged from ice cream sandwiches , fruit smoothies, and food dishes. Can't remember too well. I just remember i was not too impressed with the menu. Everything seemed ridiculously priced for what they were.

i came here hoping it was a dessert house like Eggettes unfortunately its nothing quite similar. I won't be returning here again in the near future. I miss you Eggettes. : (

I come here probably every other week because my boba options are limited.

Just have to say that the staff has a serious attitude problem. No smiles. No thank yous. No hellos.

And I always seem to have problems with their offers.
    1. They used to have a yelp offer where if you checked in, you would get a free drink. The sign was posted next to the cash register, but I was refused a free drink.
    2. They now have a free drink offer if you check in with yelp or Facebook and buy another drink. I checked in with yelp, but was not given my free drink because the offer expired...but again, the sign was posted right next to the cash register.

Came here because of the groupon. Well it was $5 for $10 worth of stuff. So got some ice cream, smoothie and since had a $1 and some change got some yogurt too. Well it was nice that they let you taste the ice cream and yogurt before purchasing. Just would had been nice if they told me that balance was at $9.60 when my credit was at $10.00, could had gotten another ounce of yogurt.

I wished they let us try the smoothie. That tasted kind of funny when I tasted it and had a really bad aftertaste. The smoothie was more like a slurpee, could see the separation at the bottom of the cup within minutes. They added so much ice that it was melting withing minutes.

They used to have eggettes and decent milk tea.  I don't think eggettes in the USA are as good as HK, but there's nothing really to be done about it ( unless you make it yourself).  The last time I came here I bought a few milk teas and frozen yogurt (using a groupon) since they no longer have eggettes.

For yogurt, I thought the best tasting options at the time were original and the dulce de leche. The toppings available were OK, although the strawberries were still slightly frozen when I ate them. They could also use more "jelly" type toppings. Anyway, it's decent yogurt and hard to fail? I don't think I've ever had "gross" yogurt.

As for the milk tea, I bought 3 of them, 2 of them being for other people. I can only vouch for my drink. I ordered the Jasmine Milk Green Tea, no boba.  Most places do not cook boba well in my opinion (often overcooked).  Besides, it costs 50 cents more to add in the boba and you end up with less milk tea anyway. Yes, I'm slightly cheap sometimes. Anyway, my drink was watery tasting, not enough tea taste at all. I was pretty disappointed. I used to like the milk tea here (especially the coconut flavor)... I wonder what happened? :(

I probably will not be back unless I only want yogurt. I'd rather get a coffee from a nearby cafe instead.

On a quest for eggettes and fin soup, my boyfriend and I ended up at this location. Much larger than their original South City store and the menu was a bit different too.

Delicious eggettes, a huge variety of drinks and snacks to satisfy all your cravings. Free internet for customers. I'd probably be here more often if I lived closer.

This is very unique. I never wanted to come here until my friends wanted bubble tea and it was on the way home for all of us.

I ended up getting their Banana Oreo Freeze w/ Tapioca, It's so freakin weird because you have the crunchiness of the oreo mixed with the slimy tapioca balls

Very weird! But a nice little hang out if you're close by. They also have at least 25 different toy/sticker dispensers which is great for kids/adults that are into collecting these things

The only reason why I come here is for the $1 toy machines! They are so addicting like Pokemon! Gotta catch em all!!!! I think there are at least 30 machines in there. I've spent countless hours going in just to collect toys! Don't play the claw machine! The claws only have 2 legs... What a rip off. How can they expect anyone to grab a toy with only 2 legs! Come on!!!

Anyway, I guess I should review the food. The bubble tea is mediocre and expensive. The froyo did not sit well in my stomach the last time I tried it. The fruit selection was lacking and what was there did not look fresh. The eggettes were decent. That's probably the only thing I'd go back for. Oh and the couch is kinda dirty looking.. They should probably clean it or get a dark colored couch so no one can see the nasty stains and dirt.

Anyways, I'll be back after I save up my quarters for the toy machines.

Stopped by here and let Jennifer L. devirginize me tonight.  Don't stop reading, this is NOT a naughty review.  :)

I had never tried one of those bubble tapioca drinks and J.L. treated me to a piña colada with black tapioca at the bottom...which I drank using the biggest freaking straw I ever ever seen.  Well, widest anyway.  It needed to be to suck up those ENORMOUS globules of tapioca.

So, did I like it?  I honestly STILL don't know.  :). Really interesting.  Very chewy.  Crazy chewy.

It was a funny night...this place is known for their eggettes, which J.L. tells me is a a Hong Kong specialty...but they ran out of them.  So, we hung out, watched Little L. drink his chocolate shake while we watched a bad 80's Tarzan movie and played a JENGA-esque game and drank big, chewy gloopy stuff.  :)

    Hooray for food adventures!

Hi, my name is Vicky... and I have a raging yogurt addiction.

I now find myself unconsciously somehow gravitating to the yogurt shops and getting my fix on every other day or so. It's like sleepwalking. And I wake up in time to find myself diving into a fresh new cup of froyo.

So the moment I landed in SF, I knew I needed me some yogurt. Nothing like some 24 hours of travel time to get that yogurt craving a-growling. And after a soporific trip to the cousins, I really needed some yogurt... you know, to take the edge off.

Thankfully, a quick search on Yelp found Eggettes only a short drive away. So after piling a cup high full of the original with strawberry topping (my constant standard), I was a happy soul. Sure, I passed up plenty of the flavors and topping offerings that were on display. But I know what I like.

We did the $1 top-up for the eggette waffles, but I actually was unimpressed. They weren't eggy and sweet or fluffy enough compared the Asian gold standard I'm used to... nothing can beat what you find off the streets of Hong Kong.

And then... of course, proceeded to grab some Mexican food a couple doors down. Because yogurt dessert is so much more important than dinner.

... I could try to find help. But just let me enjoy my yogurt.

    Hmm..mixed feelings abt this place

+ve: cool & unique smoothie flavors
you can create your own smoothie mix
            froyo is pretty good

    -ve: small place
small variation of menu (only bubble tea, smoothie and froyo)

I tried the froyo: ok taste, but basic flavors (like vanilla, chocolate & strawberry). I wish they had more exciting flavors like taro, pumpkin, etc.

Also I had a taste of their vanilla yogurt +strawberry smoothie..was ok..nothing special, a bit too icy in my opinion.

I wouldn't say its a "wow" place, but if u crave for smoothie/froyo and u are in the area, then it's worth a try.

P.S. Sad that they don't offer Eggpuffs anymore..would be a BIG plus! =D

I came here last week for the first time. It was about 8:30pm on a Tuesday evening. Parking wasn't horrible; I found parking around the corner in the residential area.

When I first walked into the place, I was surprised to see how nice it is in there. It's pretty big too. They had a froyo section = really cute. They had couches with a big TV. & of course they had those little machine things where you get get little goodies for $1.00 (don't get addicted! Haha).

I got my usual Mango Freeze w/ Tapioca. It was okay. I've tasted better. The mango just didn't seem as fresh. Little disappointed, but I still drank it.

My friend got a Milk Tea w/ Tapioca. She recently had a bad milk tea experience, so this made up for it. She enjoyed it.

We also got an Original Eggettes. YUM! :) Delish as usual.

Customer service was good. The cashier was really nice to let my friend know that the lychee jelly didn't really have any flavor, so my friend was able to get tapioca instead.

Maybe if I'm not getting my Mango Freeze w/ Tapioca, then I'll come here. If I want my usual drink, then I'll have to go to my usual location (on El Camino Real in South SF). Really nice location though.

Place has gelato, that's worth a few points. Mango colada was good and refreshing.  Not too sweet.  Free wifi is nice. . Deducted a star for customer relations.  Went in a couple of weeks ago on an advertised special on their yelp page. However, in small print it expired on Sept 15th.  Hey!   I feel if it's still on the site, then honor the deal!  It's not something that will break the bank but won't leave your customers feeling like they weren't fooled into coming in.  The other downer was that the place is dirty.  Maybe it's cuz they have kids coming in and it's on a busy street and I know running a business is hard work but it's a food establishment!  It's much more appetizing if the floors are cleaner.  Otherwise, one will worry if the floors one can see is dirty, then what's behind the counter where customers can't see?

When I walked in there on a Friday afternoon, there were three people working behind the counter. I ordered my drink and waited. And waited.

    tic, toc.

    tic, toc.

    tic, toc.

And I waited a little more.

While I was waiting, another employee joined the crew behind the counter but it didn't speed up the drink making process.

Each employee had a task to do (wiping the counter, staring into space, cleaning a waffle iron) and it looked like no one could help the poor girl making everyone's drinks.

I'm used to getting my tapioca drinks INSTANTLY. This is America! I expect to be satisfied immediately and NOT subjected to watching poor business management and neighborhood children use the self-serve yogurt after LICKING their sticky little hands.

PS my small drink with tapioca was like $5. Yah, I can't believe I was that desperate too for some good balls.

How cool is it that I am actually writing this update from one of the three free computers Eggettes provides? http://www.yelp.com/bi... Or does it mean I need to get a life? I don't usually post from a business, since I don't have a laptop or mobile device. While I may be old school, Eggettes is not.

We just had lunch at Higher Grounds and my son said he wanted ice cream, so we headed here for some fro-yo (at 4, he doesn't know the difference between ice cream and fro-yo yet, and I'm not going to enlighten him).

They have containers for compostables and recyclables, which is a leg up on the Millbrae Eggettes.

I never noticed the coconut Eggette before. Too bad I just had lunch. I'll have to get back here to try it as part of my waffle mania.

Ichabod is playing Sega UFO Catcher - how fun is that? http://www.yelp.com/bi... A mom and toddler are lounging on the sofa watching a movie on the large screen TV.

Making it even more kid-friendly, they've got building blocks available. My son had a great time constructing several structures. http://www.yelp.com/bi...

Time for a one star upgrade. Eggettes has a variety of foods, drinks, and toys in a family-friendly environment. And it smells like waffles in here. Mmm, waffles.

I am an eggette snob because I grew up loving egg puffs from street vendors in Hong Kong. These are NOT genuine eggettes. They are not crispy and thin and hollow. Instead, they are thick, filled and have a mild eggette flavor. I was so disappointed :(

But I'm giving them 3 stars because it was still good.. Just not a real eggette, which is misleading since they are called Eggettes!

One of my fave spots for milk tea!!! Actually TEA-flavored milk tea(I'm looking at you Quickly's)!!!! Decently chewy boba and quick service makes for a pleasant boba-going experience (a toss up for best milk tea between Eggettes and Wonderful Foods for me).
I really cannot stress how much I love the flavor of the milk tea here. I'm also a sucker for the cantaloupe freeze which I usually get at night so I don't spend the next couple hours wide-awake from the caffeine.

The interior is spacious and inviting with their computer stations, couch, large TV and numerous toy vending machines. A really cool place to meet up with friends and chill for a bit.

BUT WAIT! There's froyo! And good froyo at that!!! Not powdery tasting or ridiculously sweet and with a decent amount of toppings (including soft, delicious mochi). A must try, especially on an oddly warm winter day in SF. Definitely stop by and give Eggettes a try (woohoo a rhyme!!)

*If you bring your receipt back in the next three or so days, you get 50 cents off your next drink...which basically equates to a free add-in of boba or a free size upgrade :D

Darn you Scout Mob for luring me here on a hunt to satisfy my eggette craving and quench my smoothie thirst! The parking sitch is a bit of a hassle since it's Glen Park, but I wasn't deterred.

Aside from Eggettes (original, chocolate, and whatever the special happens to be), they have an extensive drink menu, a variety of snack offerings, and even self-serve fro-yo. After being indecisive, i decided on an original and chocolate Eggette, a watermelon slushie and a red bean shake. The Eggettes were deelish - crunchy and chewy at the same time. Easy to eat as you tear off an eggette and pop it in your mouth.

The Red Bean shake was okay but had too much of a bean taste.  I like red bean so I thought I'd try it out, but it was more overpowering than I cared for. The watermelon slushie wasn't what I expected. I was hoping for more of an icy consistency and more like a Surf City Squeeze drink if you've ever had one of those.

I'm not faulting them for my drink selections. It just means I'll be back to try out more of their drink items. The guy that rang me up was very friendly, welcoming, and thanked me for coming in. You have to love customer appreciation.

I think the owners are Filipino so kudos to them for adding Lumpia Shanghai to their menu!

    Yes!!! I love it!

Being brought up in Jersey I never experienced any shops like Eggettes. Its amazing and sooo good. I had coconut flavor and regular so far chocolate is definitely next on my book. Yummy yummy puffs of goodness. Pancake like.

So many different drink options to choose from as well. Teas, Bubble Drinks, Milk Drinks, Smoothies, and Shakes.

This location had a nice little lounge area with a huge TV and toys and games to boot. Good place to hang and get a sweet treat craving. :)

This eggettes is definitely a lot bigger than the one on Noriega. Not only is the menu a lot bigger but this location also serves frozen yogurt inside!

There's plenty of sitting room in this location so we don't have to fight for a seat like at the Noriega Eggettes.

The original flavor is always good, but honeydew is the best! unfortunately they don't always have honeydew since it's a special flavor :(

    Eggettes!!

First of all, the egg puffs are delicious. Slightly crunchy yet pleasantly chewy and sweet. I usually get the Original Eggettes but the chocolate is good, too. I've never had the special flavors of the day (like Honeydew eggettes), though.

My go-to drink: OREO FREEZE WITH TAPIOCA.
BAM! And it's game over! Love Oreos? Love boba? GET IT.
I've also had the Mint Oreo Freeze and Banana Oreo Freeze
which were both good and well if you like mint or banana with your oreos.

I've never had the yogurt but the amount of dry toppings to choose from is plentiful, some fruit toppings as well.

They also have a dog bowl for you dog to drink from if you happen to have yours with you which is very nice of them.

Overall, Eggettes is wonderful. They have this new Oreo Snow over at Quickly's but it just DOES NOT compare! Absolutely icy, minimal oreo taste. Stick to Eggettes' Oreo Freeze!

Today was my very first time trying Eggettes.  My friend on Yelp - Jess M. has been checking in here often and I was intrigued to try it myself.

    YUM!

It was kind of overwhelming looking at all the drink options.  I kept it simple and went for the Lychee Green Tea Milk Tea with tapioca.  I have had blended drinks with tapioca before but not milk tea.  It was good with bits of goodies in the drink.  Next time I think I'll take more time to try another flavor on the board.

I wanted to order one of everything there just to see what it was like.  I stuck with the milk tea and 1 order each of original and chocolate eggettes.   They were made to order- warm, chewy, just sweet enough, and delicious!  I thought "Where have these been all my life?" and "Why aren't these available everywhere?".

I'd rather see more Eggettes locations than Starbucks. ;)

I brought home half my orders for my boyfriend to try.  He loved them.  I can't wait to bring him back and sample the rest of the menu.

    Thanks Jess!

***(UPDATE) 7/29/11 - The owner wrote to thank me for my review of the Rockit Swirl.  Thank YOU so much!  I'm still in love with their treats and the place is a perfect spot to visit!  Keep up the great business!

Came here not expecting much, but frozen yogurt. However, they offer more than just yogurt. I ordered the Watermelon Juice w/ Boba. I must say, it was very refreshing & tasted better than I expected, especially since the boba here is so fresh and chewy rather than many other joints. Must go!
