This would be a legendary used bookstore in any city, let alone Lincoln City.  It's huge and generally well organized considering stacks of books pile on the floors and tops of shelves.  You'd never guess such an enormous collection is housed in connected blue buildings on the east side of 101 in the Nelscott section of LC.

Who would have known, I am a great lover of books especially old books. Robert's is a friendly, uncrowded way to enjoy, look, explore, and take home some of the most unique old books you can find. Even the newer book you have been dying to read but didn't want to pay that high retail price for.

I love the escape from reality, and the adventure that comes from reading a great book. Roberts is a great used book store and is a reason to drive to the coast all by its self. Sure I love an occasional visit to the often weird and over crowded, and regularly overpriced alternative of Powell's, but I would much rather pay a reasonable price at this still small family run business where my visit really means something to the owner. The people here are very knowledgeable, friendly and go out of their way to help you find the treasure your looking for. I have completed many a book collection with unique finds here at Roberts without feeling like I paid too much. The prices are really reasonable and the selection is only out matched by Powell's.

The store is huge, well organized and the sections are surprisingly easy to find in a maze of rooms and levels. All of which adds to the experience. Its like stepping into a book museum that I didn't have to fork out $20 to see. I can wander in here for hours looking.

Some great points of interest. The Christmas section is really cool. Some great reads for the family and kids. The Westerns, my favorite, may be the largest used western section that exists in a used store. Its easily three times or more the size of Powell's. The Westerns in hardback almost outweigh that of paperback here also. Some books in this section are really hard to find. The kids section is a little small. This surprises me, however I suspect they just sell fast. There is also some really cool old posters, art and memorabilia through out the store, adding to the museum feel.

This is a don't miss stop for the reader!

My absolute favorite bookstore in Oregon. Whenever we are in the vicinity, I make a point of visiting this delightful shop (much to my husband's chagrin--he has a short attention span). Robert's has the best selection of gold- and silver-age SF, which is complimented by old pulp cover posters on the walls. He even carries some old pulp titles like Amazing Stories and Astounding Science Fiction. Awesome!

Robert's is a warren of book-packed rooms. I love this store; it is one of my favorite used bookstores in the country. The stock is well-organized and reasonably-priced and the staff is knowledgeable. If you don't see something, ASK! Books are often cross-shelved; they have so many sections and categories.

I stop in for an hour or two every time I'm at the coast--and if I'm in the area for a few days, that means more than one visit!

This is an old-fashioned bookstore.  But it is much better organized and better kept than any other I've been in.  We stop there every time we are on the coast and always find something we "need."  You probably won't get a bargain, as the owners know books and their value, but the books are not overpriced.  Highly recommended.

I am a book fanatic and this is the best used book store I've ever been to! The shelves are overflowing into stacks of books on the floor. Chairs are strewn around the place so that you can just sit and enjoy the books. You could get lost in this place! It has such a large selection and some really great old books. I bought several books today published in the 19th century. It's a great place to find first editions. I am so happy that I stumbed upon this place. It's a must visit!
