This small Inn/bar/dance little cabin restaurant is located right on the scenic the Avenue of the Giants. It's very surprising to us how authentic the Mexican food is in this place. We moved from LA and we can definitely say that the food here is authentic and needless to say...good! Definitely give it a try if you're local or if you're just here to check out the redwoods...

This review is solely for the Mexican restaurant. Big portions, reasonable price. The margartias are yummy & deadly at the same time. My beef taco supreme had huge chunks of stew-like beef in it, which was really good, compared to the usual, shredded beef at most other Mexican restaurants.
Seems like there are a lot of local regulars that come in. Service is a little slow, but overall, good place. -

I have to say I was surprised by this bar, i did not know what to expect when my friends told me this was a bar and also had rooms to stay the night. I have been here a couple of times, but the night that was the most fun was Halloween. They had a live band, plenty of dancing and also did a buffet at midnight. Halloween is my favorite holiday and to find a place to celebrate was a must on this trip. We danced the night away, hung out with the locals, and just had an awesome Halloween. If you are in this area go to the Riverwood, you will not be disappointed. The staff is super friendly and the regulars are a riot. Thanks for a great Halloween!

Great food, huge portions, but s-l-o-w service. Actually Debbie our server was there just not the food. However, we were in good company with margaritas. Best Mexican food we have had in Humboldt County
