Best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had!  What a way to end my first night at Disneyland in 20 years.  I don't remember the food being so good when I was a kid, except for the Churros.  I wanted to eat here our last night, and it was closed early for some reason.  Bum deal, man.

The coleslaw was not your average slaw as well.  It wasn't all mayonnaisey and everything.  It was fresh and acidic, and I loved it so much I ate two bowls, one of our companion's.  I will come here for dinner every night next time.  $13 is a bit expensive, but everything is in Disneyland, and the food really was good.  The service was strange and chaotic, but I am pushy and was able to get the attention of an employee and ask why everything was taking so long.  Turns out, the line was stopped for a guy getting a hot chocolate.  Weird.

So this review is for the food alone.

I wouldn't consider any food at Disneyland gourmet or astounding...except for maybe Club 33 but I was extremely surprise that the River Belle Terrace serves up some tasty choice dishes at a reasonable price.

My favs...
Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich: Might was to ask them to layoff drenching your meat in sauce but it's tasty, moist and yummy.

Comes with a side....I prefer the pasta salad over the coleslaw and fruit. The pasta salad has this great touch of feta cheese in it.

What I devour: the baked beans and this pickled zucchini mix you can find at the condiments station...A MUST if you like pickled things.

Another great selection: The kids meal is great for the healthy choice parent. The meal includes your choice of a turkey or roast beef sandwich (child version), grapes, apples, and a drink.

One added note: If you're thinking of trying out this place, consider going an hour or more before the Fantasmic show. I wish I thought of this before but the terrace seating has a great view.

Hooray for overpriced Disneyland food! Well, not really.

I came here to eat for grad night, since I wasn't sure what other restaurants were opened, my cousin & I decided to catch our dinner here! Very cute restaurant, it was so bright in there compared to outdoors where it was pitch black.

But hooray for their prime rib sandwich! It was SO GOOD. 2 prime rib sandwiches + a side (I got a pasta) for $25.98 & 2 sodas for $5.38. Tax included came out to be $33.79. Doesn't really sound worth it. But it came out to be pretty delicious!

RIVER "BLAH" BELLE TERRACE

Came to Disneyland starving cause I didn't want to waste precious time just get to disneyland haha I feel like a little kid. This was the spot we chose, they have sandwiches and salad.

The Turkey and NY Roast beef sandwich are good! I had the turkey but I took a bit of the roast beef now I wish I would have ordered the roast beef. Ofcourse you're at a theme park so they will double the price so 2 sandwiches and a drink cost me $31.18

if you're around Indiana Jones right and hungry for some sandwiches this spot is Okay not the best but Okay. Peace Yelp Heads!

We stopped in here for our brunch before hitting the rides. The menu was limited and very pricey. The BF and I shared a plate of the N.Y. Roast salad ($13) and Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich ($13). It came with a pickle, beans and your choice of cold side; fruit, coleslaw, or pasta salad. I got the coleslaw but in retrospect should have got the fruit instead.. the coleslaw really sucked. The salad was pretty good, but after reading a few old reviews I'm a little disappointed that they replaced the Prime Rib with a cheaper cut of meat for the salad. The BBQ pork sandwich was served on a soft white hoagie roll.. it was good.

I also liked how there was a little island where you can help yourself to condiments, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled zucchini, grilled onions and mushrooms.

It was a little over $30 for the two of us with a bottled drink. PRICEY, yes. I suppose since we hadn't had breakfast and this meal counted for both breakfast and lunch, it wasn't too bad. But there's so many other places to eat at Disneyland that I probably wouldn't come back.

So I didn't know this until my trip to Disneyland in November, but this place serves breakfast!!!!! :) I think that's AWESOME because I love breakfast!!!

I ordered a pancake meal, which came with pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Of course it was a little pricey, but hey, it's disneyland. The pancakes were comparable to McDonald's pancakes, except a little better :) And the bacon and eggs were yummy.

The cute thing about eating here for breakfast is that they place syrup containers on EVERY SINGLE table in the seating area, including the outside!!!

This might be a general Disneyland comment, but I noticed the great service of the bus boys/bus girls here especially. It had been raining the day before and all of the tables and chairs outside were pretty wet. Luckily, there were at least 3 or 4 people wiping the tables and chairs dry so people could sit in them (of course, inside seating was completely full).

I LOVE this place. I would definitely eat here for breakfast again! Great service and decent food :)

I ended up splitting a plate with my mom because we weren't too hungry, so we ended up getting the Turkey sandwich which included baked beans and a cold side of either fruit, pasta salad, or a lentil salad.  It cost 12 bucks which is a lot but it really did satisfy us  and were happy that we split a plate.

Their is a lot of seating here so there was no problem finding us a table for five during lunch hour on the first day of the christmas season!

This place has completely gone down hill. The quality used to be so much better than it is now.

I ordered the roast beef sandwich. The sandwich was tasteless and way to small for the price. They serve you in these small plastic plates with a old rotten pickle, one spoon of refried pinto beans, and the worst roast beef sauce ever!

Then for the one small side, they let you choose some old fruit or some coleslaw. Seriously, the selection sucks.

Never again will I eat at this place when there are much better places to eat at in Disneyland.

Im not sure when Disneyland started making...what sounds like good food.  Everwhere i went, everything smelled and looked good.  So when i walked into River Belle Terrace hoping that turkey sandwich would be a win...it wasnt.   In this day and age, its mind boggling how anyone can ruin turkey.  It was dry and lacked a lot everyting.  The bread it came on was pretty bad too.  And that pulled pork sandwich my GF ordered wasnt anything to write about.

After their menu re-vamp, I tried the prime rib sandwich and wasn't too excited - I wasn't a big fan of their au jus dipping sauce, and the sauteed mushrooms in their (free!) condiment section wasn't as tasty as I thought it'd be.  That said, I tried the restaurant again at some point, and now...I'm a fan!  The turkey sandwich is kind of refreshing - it's hard to find a "healthy," satisfying meal at DL, but the sandwich worked for me.  I also dig the pickle spear and the barbeque sauce (if in the mood), and fresh lettuce/tomato.  A few more notes: I don't like their cranberry sauce (darn it!) - too orange-y and spicy for me; the pasta side salad is decent, the coleslaw a little too watery, the honey mustard sauce too honey-ish (for me), and the pulled pork sandwich is pretty good!  I gave this place an extra star just because they have mickey mouse pancakes for breakfast and because of the location/ambiance.  I love sitting outside overlooking the Rivers of America, with Pirates to the left.  Just Disneyland goodness.

ugh! what happened to this place? i'm definitely not a fan of this updated menu. so i have a choice of getting a $13 sandwich or a salad for $13. no thanks! i prefer a much better meal for a far better price. i know the prices are all high throughout the rest of the park but i want a much better meal than the river belle will give me. not a good choice if you want some god bbq.

i guess the 2 stars i gave is very generous but that is for the breakfast. i'm still a fan of the size and quality of the steamboat - three fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs, choice of bacon or sausage. $7.99. you can get free refills on coffee anywhere in the park as long as you hold on to your cup. it's a neat little disney secret.

Weirdo solo eating at disneyland people unite!!!

*crickets chirping*

anyone? anyone at all?

well screw you then!

yeah i come here by myself sometimes when i'm hungry and no one is around to have lunch with me.
I love it when i get into line and the cashier asks, "having fun today?!"  I feel like a REAL winner!
I dont really care though.  i have an annual pass, i might as well use it.

My favorite at this place is the BBQ Platter.  This consists of BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, corn bread, cole slaw, bbq beans and corn on the cob.  MMMMMMMM  its good.   If ur cheap like me and dont wanna spend money on a drink, u can also get a cup of ice and fill it up with water at the fountain.
I've also had their chicken salad and the the clam chowder bread bowl.  Both are pretty good and portions are fairly large.

Try to leave room for dessert.  They have good desserts here.  My fav's are the strawberry shortcake and CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE(discontinued right now for some damn mouse cake! bleh, fudge cake is mudge better).

eat here if ur cool like me

Awesome breakfasts have always been served up at this southern-themed casual cafeteria-style restaurant at the junction between Adventureland, New Orleans Square and Frontierland.

Every time we go to Disneyland, we always enjoy at least one breakfast here.  The restaurant offers two wonderful outdoor patios that face out to the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island and sit under tree canopies and umbrellas.

The food is pretty good too.  I always have the pancakes with scramby eggs and sausage.  Everything comes out perfectly prepared and arranged and they are actually surprisingly accomodating with substitutions.  They say ole' Walt Disney himself used to come here every Sunday morning for breakfast.

Wow, this used to be my favorite place to have breakfast. The view was great, the food was fresh and the coffee flowed. Today I went and they have remodeled the place. It has become a fast food Restaurant. The food is the same but the it is now served on plastic plates that are too small for the food. They also do not give refills on coffee. How do you have breakfast on one cup of coffee. I was disappointed. This move to speed up flow took something away from the ambiance.

We usually eat at the French Market Restaurant while at Disneyland.  However it was lunchtime and there was a line out the door so we decided to browse around rather than wait in line.  River Belle Terrace wasn't crowded at all, so we decided to try it out.

The menu changed fairly recently because they don't offer the BBQ platter anymore.  The menu now consists of 4 sandwiches (prime rib, turkey breast, bbq pork, vegetable po'boy), 3 salads (turkey, prime rib, and green), and a couple desserts.  Sandwiches are served on a baguette with a little side of baked beans and a one cold side dish (coleslaw, fruit, taboule, lentil).   Kid's menu includes 3 sandwiches (peanut butter & jelly, turkey, prime rib).

Pricewise, the sandwiches are $11.99 and $12.99-- same for the salads.  Kid's meals are $5.99.

My husband, teen daughter, and I split 2 of the turkey sandwich platters. The sandwiches are large and the turkey is not pressed turkey-- it is actual turkey breast--woohoo!  Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, packages of mayo, mustard are available from condiment bars.  I thought the prices were a little steep at first but the 2 platters were more than enough food for the 3 of us.

I wish cheese had been offered for the sandwiches.  I would have liked a side green salad option, although the coleslaw was pretty good and the fruit was excellent.  Also thought the bbq beans side was too small.  But overall, a pleasant lunch.  I liked sitting out on the patio overlooking the Rivers of America.

As we started looking for a quick dinner spot we came upon River Belle's menu displayed outside their doors.  i was really in the mood for a salad and to my amazement they offer a PRIME RIB salad.  I didn't have really high hopes so it made it more of a surprise when I found myself enjoying every savory bite.  The prime rib was perfect and did not wilt the lettuce at all.  The husband went with a prime rib sandwich which was also delish.  They display a nice condiment cart (as do all the other eating establishments throughout the park) which is so very convenient to go to and back again.  What really made the meal so very worth it was that as we were just hangin on the outside patio Fantasmic started to gear up for their next show and we had perfect seats without having to hunt for them.

River Belle Terrace had changed their menu some time ago, but the new menu, which only has a couple of salads and a couple of sandwiches, seemed very limited, and I just didn't feel motivated to go. I've had breakfast at River Belle several times in the last six months, and I've rather enjoyed those, so today, we decided to give it a shot for lunch.

Because it was a fairly warm day out, it wasn't surprising that the indoor air-conditioned seating was fairly crowded. We found an empty table that would fit our party of five, so I staked out the table while the rest of our group went to get food.

In deciding what I wanted, I looked at the salads which had been made for display, and while both the prime rib and turkey salads looked good, I decided on the prime rib this time. On this day, salad sounded better to me than a sandwich. The sandwiches come with one side, but salads do not, so I had the husband get me a side of pasta salad as well. The husband and one friend both also got the prime rib salad, with the husband getting a side of lentil salad, and our two other friends both got the pork sandwich. One got a side of fruit and I can't remember what the other person had for a side.

I very much enjoyed my prime rib salad. I thought the flavoring of the dressing was quite nice, and it was pretty light on dressing, which I like. I am not a fan of salad swimming in dressing soup. Since I wasn't in line, I didn't know how everything was made, but the husband said the salad was made back in the kitchen and then delivered to the line to give to the guest. The dressing is only on the salad, and then the meat added on top, which is nice because then you're not drenching the prime rib in the salad dressing. The salad had a nice mix of lettuces as well as sliced cherry tomatoes, and the prime rib was very tasty. The roll was a nice side, and it was very soft. All in all, it was a very tasty salad that I would definitely recommend. I also enjoyed my pasta salad, which was nicely seasoned, though the portion size is a bit small for the price charged, even by theme park price standards. My only disappointment is that they've chosen to use only plastic plates and plastic utensils in the restaurant, which really detracts from a nice salad like this. I would also think that using plastic ware doesn't go well with Disney's green and conservation efforts.

The husband also liked his prime rib salad as well as his side lentil salad, though he was disappointed that they didn't have the three-bean salad that we'd seen on a previous breakfast visit. Our friends seemed to enjoy their meals as well, though we all remarked that the sandwiches came on fairly thick French rolls, and one of our friends mostly scooped out the meat to eat and left most of the bread.

Here's a picture of the prime rib salad:  http://www.colddeadfis....

I would definitely return for lunch to try their prime rib sandwich and turkey salad.

This is the new "Home" of what was once a proud bbq grub fest called "Big Thunder Bar-b-que". All the fixins have been transplanted into River Belle Terrace...but there's nothing like eating on wooden benches with real silverware, with dripping bbq sauce dribbling from your mouth. What's worse is that they used to offer nice big portabello mushrooms for bbq vegetarians which RBT doesn't offer.

Their St. Louis BBQ ribs were only 4 pieces, 1 cornbread, small chili (yummy), and small coleslaw. They took away the corn cob (we want our corn!!!) OMG... do get the Strawberry Shortbread Cake...it was sooo good! And so big! Even 3 of us couldn't finish it.

I've eaten here a couple of times for breakfast, and it's always a pleasure to sit by the windows when the sun hits it just right and mellow out to people watch while you're chowing down your morning fuel. DEFINITELY get the Mickey Mouse pancakes...they're so huge that you don't need to order anything else. Plus it's fun to watch the workers make them in front of you. If only I can do the same at home, but I always come up with a malformed Mickey head and why does the other side always look burnt???

Another note, for those who need to cut across to Adventureland, you can always run through the restaurant as a real fast shortcut to the other side. This is useful especially when they cordon off the area for Fantasmic.

i have to say, this place wasn't too bad. it depends what you order.. my hubby & i ordered the bbq pork sandwich and the turkey breast salad. the bbq pork was an awesome meal after a long day for lunch & i would suggest to eat at this restaurant 2 hrs before the Fantasmic showing over the summer & eat outdoors because they have the best seats! the cast members there are so polite, respectful, considerate, & nice.. but that goes for all the CM @ Disneyland! it is a bit pricey for a sandwich & a salad, but what do you expect prices to be @ Disneyland?!

food at disneyland? bleh... never really looking forward to it. 99% of the time, it's SOOO overpriced. i came here with my brother and dad a couple of weeks ago with no toher choice though. i was about to get one of those kid sandwiches since a reg one was like 12 bucks?!!? but.. i passed the kids meal after i realized it consisted only of a sandwich the size of a biscuit and little bits of snacks....

uhh. so i got that turkey breast sandwich. i munched off some of my brother's bbq pork sandwich, which was pretty good too. the cool thing about this place is that there's this al a carte place to put all your condiments/toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, zuccini, varieties of sauces) nto your sandwich. basically, your own free subway :D i pretty much also made my own salad... haha. and it also included a cold dish side =D (pasta/fruit/lentil salad)

i hate how it was 12 bucks, but i'm happy i left full and satisfied.

We decided to try out the new menu since they recently changed it.  We had eaten here before, but bf thought the quality of the bbq to be the equivalent to cafeteria food, therefore we never went back.  I got the prime rib salad (which comes with a roll) and he got the prime rib sandwich (which comes with baked beans and one cold side dish.  I was nice to see that the prime rib is freshly sliced and it was very flavorful too.    I think what really impressed me the most was the condiments bar.  There is the typical lettuce, onions, and ketchup, but there was also sauteed onions and mushrooms too.  For the price and quality at Disneyland, this is a great place to dine at.
