15 reviews for Ritz-Carlton
Came to this Ritz Carlton for a company-sponsored conference, so it was all gratis! That is pretty hard to beat.
This was the first time I'd stayed at a Ritz Carlton, and I have to admit I was a bit let down. I definitely had higher expectations.
Regardless, I was impressed overall with this hotel, giving it the 4-star salute.
The best part? The service. The attention to the customer is mind-bogglingly pleasant. I must have been greeted several hundred times by the service staff throughout the hotel in the three days i was a guest. As our company's conference progressed, I was more and more aware of the strict adherence to their service standards. Dependability on OUTSTANDING guest service makes the high room prices bearable.
So why only 4-stars? Well, as I mentioned earlier, the high expectations sort of brought things down. The service was stellar, but the rooms themselves were just nice. Not eye-popping, velvet smooth NICE -- just nice. A standard room with a few upgrades, but nothing that really jumped out to make it 5 stars.
Tough customer, huh?
The atmosphere throughout the hotel was great. Pleasant smells wafted through the lobby and hallways - fresh flowers or citrus, with constantly changing bouqets. They really put alot into the ambience of the hotel.
The food was good and bad. The cafe had some great sandwiches. The buffet food for the conference was standard breakfasts, regular lunches. Nothing too spectacular.
The banquet services are all outstanding. Again, all about guest service, and they take it to a completely different level. Highly recommended for any event, if you've the budget.
Overall, a good hotel with GREAT service.

I've been a fan of the bar at the Ritz in Buckhead for a few years now. It's a great place to go for after work cocktails, or post-dinner at NYP drinks when you're not quite ready to go home. It's also a brilliant place for people watching: you just never, ever know what cougar-on-the-prowl, celebrity in town, or charming new friend you might encounter or observe!
But, today, I had my first lunch in The Cafe. A treat! I'm not a huge lover of ginormous brunch buffets (though I've had theirs and it is fabulous, as others have noted) but our family decided to do a nice Christmas Eve lunch out instead of our usual fancy dinner. The Ritz was picked as the spot.
The menu isn't extensive, but it's well-chosen. I have never raved about a BLT sandwich before but I'm about to: their "B.L.A.T." (the A being for the delicious, generous serving of ripe avocado - mmmmm!) was heaven. Thick bacon (and you know how us Yelpers feel about bacon!). Perfect Bibb lettuce. Ripe tomato. Tasty and thick multigrain bread and a divine sherry mayo. Served with (your choice of sides but why would you get anything but the) thin-cut garlic fries. Ahhhh.
Oh, and for the two-of-four in our party who didn't order the BLAT? The Shrimp Cocktail was inventively served, almost sushi-style in a cool flat dish with grapefruit slices and a tasty cocktail sauce, and nearly inhaled. Our fourth diner had a huge Cobb Salad that he heartily enjoyed.
The Bloody Mary's and G&T (double lime, of course) were well-made, and our meal was an all-round success. Prices weren't "hotel-crazy," service was Ritz-quality, and everyone left happy.
I think I've got a new spot to visit every so often for lunch in Buckhead!

Brunch! Brunch! Brunch!
Amazing Sunday Brunch...The food was off the hook! Fresh to order omelets, fresh squeezed OJ, fresh fruit, wattles, pancakes, the list goes on!
Eat, eat, and more eats...

The staff is great, but the rooms and baths are small, the lobby can get crowded as can the entrance due to valet traffic. There are many hotel choices in this area of buckhead, and while the Ritz-Carlton may be right for some, others may want to shop around and get something different for their money.
Stayed there for the 3rd time attending the Masters from April 9-12, 2007.
Beautiful Hotel. Lobby is gorgeous, oil paintings, beautiful wood, orchids in vases. Fabulous hotel staff (doorman, etc.) The public rest room is just amazing, tile, etc.
Lobby Lounge is a great place for a drink (although pricey as you would expect.) Gorgeous setting. If you want a snack, try the clam chowder. My colleagues found it addictive. People watching is intriguing. Lots of beautiful people/women on Masters week, but I suspect many of them are "professional" if you catch my drift.
Room was very well appointed. Shared the room with a colleague. Choice of bay window view of either wooded neighborhoods or the Buckhead area. Choice of one king, or two double beds. Comfortable beds. Nice linens. Bathroom immaculate, great towels, upscale shampoo, mouthwash, soap, lotions, provided as well.
I've had the breakfast buffet ($28?) in the past which was pricey but quite good.
I was impressed on Sunday. The ATM room has a computer dedicated to letting your print your airline boarding passes! Very thoughtful.
My only complaint is that they charge you $12.95 for internet service in your room (annoying given the room price.) Also, the staff is super courteous, but I always feel that they have their hand in your pocket (e.g. I don't need anyone to carry my golf clubs to my room when I return from golfing.)

Its the Ritz-Carlton with all of the things you'd normally expect, so I'll skip those. Let me tell you about the awesome customer service I received this past weekend. I flew into Atlanta for a wedding and through some jacked up travel plans ended up arriving at the Ritz at 6 a.m. I was dreading the possibility that I wouldn't be allowed to check in until much later, but there was absolutely no problem.
The clerk was gracious and professional and in no way made me feel like he was doing me a favor - even though he was. With service like that, everything else was icing.

I love Ritz-Carlton, but I was a bit disappointed in the Buckhead location. The staff is great and service is, for the most part, as a Ritz-Carlton should be. I wasn't very impressed with the hotel rooms. Their a bit dated and they aren't that special, aside from having a decent ipod system. In Atlanta, I much prefer Four Seasons to this.
The lobby is nice, but it is overcrowded. It doesn't not have a relaxing feel of other Ritz Carlton hotels that I have been to. This is partially due to its location which is accessible to those shopping across the street, as it is cornered by two of Atlanta's most popular malls, Lenox and Phipps. I did appreciate that the hotel floors are only accessible if you have a hotel card key.
I've had breakfast here a couple times and it is pretty good and has a wide selection. The lobby certainly outshines the rest of the hotel. It gives almost a false illusion.
The Dining Room, one of Atlanta's finest, was surprisingly good. I had heard mixed reviews and was extremely skeptical, but the food was great and some of the best I've had in Atlanta, although I'll write something separate on that.
This is a great place to be pampered. We have become locals there the staff is excellent especially on club level they greet you by name. The food there is OK.We love to go there because of the great shopping the lenox mall has all of your high end stores one of my faves.... Louie Vuiton, Carter, Neman Marcus ( great Chanel selection!) My husband like for me to stay clear of that department but a girl has to do what a girl has to do .If you know what i mean. Anyway back to the Ritz worth the splurge so when in Hotlanta check out the Ritz in Buckhead

It's the Ritz-Carlton - there is no sense in even reviewing ... its consistently awesome. Don't let the prices scare you off, sooooo worth it. Just worked with them on an event. In true Ritz fashion, they dotted every " I " and crossed every " t ". So easy to wok with and, of course, acoomdating. And the brunch is absolutely to DIE FOR. Anything and everything you could imagine - sushi, eggs benedict, raw oysters, ... caviar! It is absolutely the most amazing , impressive spread of food I have EVER seen. Just SPLURGE!

Oh my god in heaven...
Ignore the dull exterior and chintz and lace all over the dang stuffy lobby and head straight to their Sunday Champagne Brunch.
I've never seen so much glorious food in my life. Meat carving station, grilled vegetables, cracked stone crab claws and oysters on the half shell on ice, sushi station, and more... seriously divine. There's an entire tower devoted to desserts and a fountain of chocolate with perfect fruits and cakes to complement it.
Mimosas and champagne flow freely throughout the dining room wielded by the best servers on the planet. For $50 a person, INDULGE yourself. You'll never forget it.

I've been for after dinner drinks a few times. The service is outstanding and the live jazz is nice for any occasion. More interestingly is that this is hands down, unquestionably the BEST people watching in Atlanta! Come one, come all, step right up ... I'll leave the rest for you to fill in with your own experience.

Its the Rtiz! Impeccable everything. The only thing stopping me from giving this location 5 stars is Buckhead is much nicer.
Staff was courteous and professional. The RItz was formerly a Holiday Inn, explaining why it doesn't look as nice as other Ritz Carltons. Espresso's is overpriced for subpar quality food.
never mind the Sunday brunch...this is a GLORIOUS hotel...I could have stayed forever...even the gym was fabulous...and an upscale shopping center right across the street! what more do you need, really?
I can tell you that I didn't mind staying here with my family while they were in atlanta for the weekend. This was really good--very comfortable rooms with plenty of cool choices of movies and the chocolate and cookies that they left in the room were chamazing. I ate a few too many cookies and had a stomachache, so just share them. The beds are really comfortable while the inside is really nice. The shower is really roomy and has good pressure while the gym and pool areas are very extensive and have everything that those who like to run, swim and workout. The hot tub is also very nice while the pool is a bit cold, but that just happened to be in that case Im sure. The sunday brunch I didn't have but my family did and they said it was good but not great. The only shortcoming was the wait for our car as it always took ten minutes and the outside was always so busy. Otherwise a great hotel that had everything one would want and it is really close to a lot of good restaurants as well as that huge mall across the street.
