My girlfriend & I went to this restaurant while we were staying at the Squaw Valley Resort On Olympic Circle ( see my review on this resort ). The day that we went the place wasn't packed which was great and the decor was very nice. We were fortunate to get seats facing the mountains and breath taking landscape. We were also able to watch the sun set while we were eating dinner. It was very romantic.
Before I review the food I would like to talk about the service we received. For starters we were given a waiter and a waitress. They were very attentive. No exaggeration here, our glasses were never empty only half empty. I have never in my life received service this good ever.
For the food we were started off with fresh baked bread & Hawaiian black salt with butter. We were also served sparkling water. I then ordered a Mojito which was mixed perfectly. I could tell the mint was fresh it had a firmness to it. We also ordered scallops for the appetizer and let me tell you they were helllla good. For the main coarse I had the venison with mashed potatoes and veggies. The meat was seasoned well the mashed potatoes were ok and the veggies were not over cooked. My lady had a chicken pasta that was ok. They also have a good wine selection for those who are wondering.
In closing when you go to this restaurant your paying for the view and the service. Don't get me wrong the food is fresh and good. If you choose to go to this restaurant be ready to spend the cash $150+tip minimum. Don't let the price tag deter you, in my opinion this is a must go if your in the area.
