This place was absolutely amazing. Everything from the food to the staff. Above and beyond.

For starters, Nora was just top notch, one of the best servers we have ever had anywhere. So kind and managed the business of the night so well, consistently calm, collected, attentive and funny.

Food was amazing... we chose the bar side and ordered off the happy hour menu.

      Filet was perfectly cooked
Salmon was so flavorful and the spinach was amazing.
Calamari was perfectly crispy but not too crispy and not tough or chewy.
Meatballs and bolognese spaghetti was incredible
And the Caesar and wedge salads were so so good.

Seriously, highest recommendation I could give, highly recommend!

I moved here full-time a few months ago. We wanted to try an Italian restaurant we'd never been before. Ristorante Gina's popped up. I was a bit leary of the reviews saying the food lack taste but we gave it a go.
Ristorante Gina's did. NOT disappoint. The service was friendly. We did not have reservations (which I highly recommend), so we got on their walk-in waitlist and were seated accordingly.
I'm pleasantly surprised at the portions and pricing of their dishes. The portions were moderate and pricing was fair. Too many restaurants fill your plate and over charge. In my opinion, everything was "on-point". Thank you for a lovely Monday night evening.

Loved the ambiance and our service was great, but the food was lackluster

The complimentary bread was delicious to start

      Got the following:

Pork chop with fontina and prosciutto: 3 stars, it was good, moist enough, just not great. The mashed potatoes weren't redeeming, but the spinach was not bitter or metallic tasting at all, so at least that was enjoyable as one of the sides

Parpadelle: 3 stars, nothing stand out. It was all one note.

Osso bucco: 2 stars, how can Osso bucco be dry? The polenta was watery

Frutta di mare: 4 stars, this was probably the best dish out of the bunch.

Would go back only if someone else really wanted to go, but not for me

Thank you Jose for excellent service.

We were happy to try "happy hour Menu all day."

Great food. Salmon for us. Chicken parm. Great spinach.

Great pricing for excellent food at price point.

Buzzing on a Tuesday night in mid January. Guess this formula works for many!

I've eaten here a few times now and it's a usual spot I dine at when in Palm Desert. I ate here last night and I guess they stopped doing half portions on their pasta but my waiter was nice enough to still do a half portion for me. The Mamma gina salad, caprese burrata, Fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and truffle butter, John Dory fish, Linguine Puttanesca, and Capellini Piero are all great. Salads are very good and fresh. The service is always great. The espresso martini is very good and creamy. The tiramisu is good. The prices are very reasonable. Saturdays are the busiest for dinner. It's busier during events/conferences like the BNP Paribas Open so advanced reservations are needed.

Such a cute restaurant with great food and best service!

LOVED the ravioli neri (lobster squid ink ravioli topped off with creamy tomato sauce) - perfection! The linguini mare is also very good - it's huge topped with a mountain of mussels, clams, shrimp and salmon. Highly recommend both entrees but would skip the panna cotta (texture is too hard).

The service was such that our water/drinks were always full and we didn't have to wait for anything too long for anything...non-intrusive and on point!

I made a reservation for 3 (with the gf and the mama), but when we arrived we chose to instead sit in the bar area per the mama's recommendation. Sure, smaller menu, but way better and right-priced grub. Bonus: great for people watching.

We ordered drinks, and an entree apiece. I ordered the veal marsala and it was delicious, ample portion with a side of fresh spinach and mashed. [$24, 4.5 stars]

Bread with oil & vinegar was sliced focaccia, and great. Gf and the mama also enjoyed their pastas. Service was on-par.

I'll be back. I actually really liked it. Nice experience.

I come to the Palm Desert area once a year, and everytime I am here, I always eat a couple times at mamma gina. The food is so fresh and you can tell it's authentic. The service is always friendly and the dining room is nice.

We always go to the bar side as it's first come first serve. I wish I came to the area more often!

Perfect service. VERY accommodating. Most importantly the food was DELICIOUS.! It was my birthday & everyone joined in. I don't live in the Palm Desert but I would definitely make my way back here.
