5 reviews for Ripley's Believe It or Not
The bf and I went to AC for his bday. One of the days we were there, we decided to hang out on the boardwalk.
A lot of the stuff in there were pretty cool and interesting. I mean, it wasn't some GREAT attraction, but we made it fun. Took a lot of funny pictures with some of the "dummies" (some that even myspace wouldn't allow me to post lol).
If you're looking for something to do in AC, other than gambling or roasting out in the sun, take a little detour into Ripley's.
This place isn't very exciting or interesting... I found myself here after walking through the entire city, stuffing my face at two different restaurants for lunch, losing too much money gambling, and not knowing what else to do -- it was a dreary windy day and the extremely aggressive sales-people wouldn't take no for an answer... The music is too loud, the attractions are too few, and it just feels very stale and stagnant here.

O geez, don't even bother.
For the price of a ticket, you can just go buy one the Ripley's Believe it or Not books, and be far more entertained for a much longer time. I really mean that. There aren't even that many exhibits. And those people they have on the boardwalk are so aggressive ... don't make eye contact or they'll be on you, trying to drag you in.
I understand that there a limited things to do for kids in Atlantic City, but this is just such a waste of money. And boring as can be ...
Take the kiddies on down to the go kart track or to the steel pier instead, where they might actually have some fun.
I've been to this museum many times, and it is always a five star rating.
While the price may be off-putting, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
The museum has about 10-15 galleries in it, each one packed with information, interactive exhibits, and a lot of fun...
It's a self-guided tour, so you can spend as much time as you'd like once inside. As long as you retain your original receipt, you also get in-and-out privledges for the day.
I think my favorite part of this museum is that it is updated on a regular basis. There is always something new to look at and play with.
On top of all of that, the museum is kept clean, and the staff is always pleasant.
Ripley's is a great place to bring the kids while the other adults are gambling, or if you just want to do something new and fun.
Go now!

Not a bad place to spend an hour or two and escape the summer heat on the boardwalk. Me and my group of five friends had a fun time taking in all the exhibits. It's interesting and educational at the same time I guess. We had fun taking pictures inside.
