Ricky's
7 reviews for Ricky's
i don't know whats worse shopping for present on christmas even or a costume on halloween.
Lucky for me Ricky's was the only place that still had a full selection of costumes available, in all sizes.
Granted the line wrapped around the block, but it moved quickly.
So, part of me wants to give this place one star....but just because it's a complete MAD HOUSE! Haha, it probably has to do with the nearing of Halloween....but this place has soooo much stuff crammed in here it's difficult to move. Not the best store for someone who is slightly claustrophobic....
Anyhow, they have tons of costumes (slutty to fairly normal) and they have a MASSIVE wig selection. They also have a lot of accessories and makeup. So, if you live on the beach and need a get-up I think this is your place. Be ready to be overwhelmed by freaks & sheer volume of things crammed in to a small space! You have been warned!!
I appreciated the fact this store existed. Very clean and orderly inside with tons of stuff for hair. Manic Panic? Sure! As well as pricier hair dyes. One of the managers took my friend for a tour around the place while I poked about on my own. Eventually I found a shower gel that was on sale.
At least I thought it was on sale. The counter guy said only certain ones were on sale. Then why was a whole row of them parked in that sale section? He said they would have to remove them to their original shelf. One of his coworkers tried to get him to give me the sale price but he wouldn't do it.
Well then, they lost a sale. I can't stand gimmicks.
If CVS and Spirit Halloween Store combined with an added naughty twist you'd have Rickys. Imagine a wall of wigs with names like Sugar, Joan, and Loca and then a whole section dedicated to pedicures oh and the costumes and yes that is Rickys.
Perfect for last minute Halloween costumes or picking up that leave in conditioner before hitting the beach. Also good for theme parties throughout the year.
Welcome Sugar ! Now this is a drugstore !
CVS does not have a website like Rickys.
Full range of hair products/tools.... Browse through novelty products, enjoy the music, and grab what you need for hair, skin, face, nails.
I love the energy and randomness of Rickys and always leave with a few more things than planned.

A trippy drugstore experience sums up Ricky's Lincoln Rd. boutique. Everytime I step in here, I think one thing: John Waters, of Hairspray fame, would LOVE this place. Have fun and don't take yourself seriously is the message found in its product lineup:
neon wigs, beachy wares, cheeky tchotkes, sparkly makeup, and cosmetics/bath stuff like Dirty Girl. Don't forget about the naughty offerings it has on their 2nd floor, wink.
This place gets wicked crowded for Halloween for their huge costume offerings, dragqueen types and club kids are welcomed here.
I could have spent an hour or more wandering through this store; as it is, I think I was there for at least 30 minutes. I only bought a few things that I could take back on the plane, but I was mesmerized. Plus, they have tons of fake tattoos and wigs and stuff, which is always fun. Great selection of vastly different things. From rainboots to erotic costumes to pasties, you're covered here.
