Review from Bill H.
Ricky's is awesome. It's like an ice cream shop, with a brilliant twist -- unlimited, multiple-trip toppings. How cool is that?
I stopped here during a long reception with several family members. We were all tired and a little bit belligerent. Fortunately the two girls behind the counter were super-patient, answering all of our questions and laughing at our (extremely lame) jokes.
We all ordered regular cups of ice cream, which I would have to put somewhere in between Ben and Jerry's and Coldstone in terms of its taste. Not filled with lard like B&J's, but still not at the level of Coldstone's ingredient quality. Still, though, not important.
The star attraction: the ingredient bar. Four kinds of syrups (peanut butter syrup? Yes please!), at least 15 different toppings, including: Gummy Bears, Walnuts, Oreos, Swedish Fish, Reese's Pieces. The list goes on. The best part is -- THE BAR IS SELF-SERVE. You can make multiple-topping trips on your ice cream eating experience. And I did. No need to mix-in the toppings when I first sat down. Oh no. I ate the toppings and the top-level of ice cream, returned to the toppings bar, and filled up again. How cool is that? Seriously, how cool?
Prices were great, I paid $16.00 for ice cream for 4 people, and left a decent tip for the poor counter girls. -

Ricky's is a magical land, not too far away from you, filled with sweets and ice cream for good little kids and adults, like me (and maybe you).
There's homemade ice cream and homemade ice cream sandwiches ($2.99) that they can make for you right on the spot if you don't see one that you like. On top of that, literally, haha, "on top", of your ice cream you can go to the Topping Station where you can load up your bright blue "Smurf" ice cream with all the chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, gooey caramel and chocolaty syrup your little heart may desire.
Then you can skip on over to the wall of candy and grab up some Swedish Fish and a Candy Bra (I'm wearing mine right now!) for later.
Hopscotch your way over to the other side of the room and grab up some caffeinated Jelly Belly's (take 30 minutes before you start your workout and pop a magical bean every 10 minutes or so during your workout) and pick out an old school lunch box with a matching thermos.
If you're a pez-head...march on over to the center of the room for the gigantic Darth Vader Pez Dispenser (Darth Vader's pez-head is 1/2 the size of my head) or if Darth is not really your style...go for the giant Hello Kitty Pez Dispenser.
When you're done with that head over to the wall of chocolate M & M's and grab yourself a sweetheart mix of colors for your love one!
Ricky, you're awesome. Keep it up sweets! -

Ricky's has candy. Lots of candy. They have Valomilk! Go ahead -- eat one -- you can feel the diabetes coming on.
Ricky's has cones and other ice cream delights. As mentioned by other reviewers, they have a topping bar. You can put anything you want on your ice cream, multiple times. Is the ice cream good? I don't know, b/c I kept using it as a Reese's Pieces delivery device.
And where does the chaos fit in? I think it's the unlimited topping bar. As mentioned by Bill, you just eat the toppings off and get some more. Ricky's shouldn't let a couple of semi-drunk sisters (we came here after several hours at the Victory Brewery) loose with a small bowl of ice cream and unlimited turns at the toppings.
This store is a trip -- check it out!Listed in: I scream for ice cream!, Best of Delco, sweet tooth

First off, let me begin by saying that Ricky's Candy, Cones & Chaos is a kiddie candy shop; although I'm sure you could already tell from its name. It sells candy in large plastic containers, and you can fill up a plastic bag with the candies of your choice. Also, Ricky's offers many different kid-friendly ice cream flavors that can be mixed with various toppings. All in all, it sounds pretty standard, right? I'm sure we've all had experiences buying bulk candy in candy shops, as well as mixed ice cream sundaes. But what I like best about Ricky's is its cute, funky interior. Ricky's store mascot is a big green dinosaur with a big grin on its face (maybe the dinosaur IS Ricky...hmm?), holding a bag of candy in one hand and an ice cream cone in the other (but of course!)...corny? Unabashedly so, but cute nonetheless. The shop is decorated with "Ricky" figures and gives off an effervescent and whimsical vibe. Okay, underneath all the glitz and glamour, it's basic candy and ice cream- yet I appreciate Ricky's attempt to transfer the feeling of childhood happiness many connect with candy into its decorations.
