If I had lots of money to spend on things like 'Grobals' and intricate paper birdhouse mobiles ($68), you bet your bottom dollar I'd be spending a lot of time (and $$$) in GTown at Revival.
Lots of new and not so new necessities (okay, maybe to me they are!) thoughtfully packed into what I would want my home to resemble one day. Amazing pieces like resin lamps, plates, funky ceramic vases, and vintage mirrors adorn the walls in a way that makes you want to go home and rethink everything in your house. Lots of great cards and stationery if you don't want to leave empty handed and you're not looking to drop serious cash.
I picked up (literally) a gorgeous blue patent clutch, replete with pink suede lining.. PINK SUEDE LINING, people!?? If it didn't cost a car payment, I might have given it a new home..
They've got the baby/ kiddo/ garden goods thing covered in here as well..
Yeah, pretty much everything in here rocks my face off.
So.. I guess if anyone is feeling charitable.. You know, wanting to 'give to the needy', gimme a call because I'm thinking I really 'needy' that cute blue clutch.
If you are a fan of the now-defunct home decor magazine Domino, you will be very happy to find this shop. Revival carries a nice mix of luxe, affordable, funky, classic and trendy. The greyhound fabric on display in the front window was what drew us in. The soundtrack to "Rushmore" was playing inside. I must have spent 30 minutes wander through the not-too big shop. I didn't want to miss anything. In the end I bought a Lafco kitchen candle as a gift for a friend's upcoming birthday. It's soy and comes in a gorgeous art glass vessel that is nicely boxed. Sure it was $50, but hey, I'm from Oregon, I didn't have to pay sales tax! Can't wait to go back on my next trip to Seattle.
Since I am a fan of the "one for you, two for me" Christmas shopping method - I think I might be doing a good portion of my holiday shopping at this little boutique.
There is a nice mix of trendy designers, basic pieces, and vintage finds all held together by the shop owners sense of style. I finally found (what I hope to be) the perfect thing to hang behind my TV (but if it's not she said I could bring it back!) and I have been searching for almost two years.
I also loved the selection of reworked vintage and semi-precious stone jewelry up at the counter. It's not really Georgetown funky in here but it definitely has its very own style that is not run of the mill.

History
Established in 2008
We opened our doors in March of 2008, in the historic Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle. Originally conceived as a comprehensive home store including garden and outdoor products, as well as unique gift and children's items, Revival Home & Garden gradually evolved to focus more on interior products and design services.
This new focus precipitated a move to a new, more intimate space closer to many of our clientele, in Capitol Hill. Please visit us at 1517 12th Avenue, between Pike and Pine Streets. We look forward to seeing you there!
