I love Revival too. To clarify, they no longer sell Rubber City Clothing shirts. You can find the OFFICIAL RRC store downtown on North High St at East Market St, right around the corner from Crave. mmmm, Crave. You can order online too!

I give this place 5 stars because it isn't something that you would, otherwise, find in Akron. Some people that I've talked to in Akron think it's a little pricey, but they must not have left Akron. Once upon a time, I too sold clothing there, so it holds a special place in my heart. The owners are great people as well. I know that I can say that I'm not the only one of my friends that stops in here for a souvenir with every visit to Akron. It's nearly impossible to find such diverse quality in a shop of this size. Support your local businesses!

Okay, so it pisses me off that "Jessica A." gets the first to review on Revival.  While she gives this great new Highland Square business five stars (as do I) she has NOTHING to say about it.

That's just wrong.

Anyhow.  Back to the business at hand.  Revival.  Is a great semi-new (they told me that this month marks their 3rd anniversary) vintage/consignment store in cute Highland Square.  I was killing time yesterday before meeting my friend Kendra (the BFF's wife) and Carly (the HCWTBFF's fiancee) and the HCWTBFF at the Montrose Regal Cinema to watch Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix (which is AWESOME, by the way - go see it!)  I thought that since I was so early I would pop over to Highland Square and get a cup of coffee - as it was one of the only places in Akron where I was sure there was a coffee shop.  After getting my third latte of the day I decided to walk off some of that caffeine energy and peruse how the neighborhood had changed since I last lived there in 1996.

What happy happenstance was it that I popped my head into this charming little boutique?

Totally happy.  Aside from the fact that they have some really cute SF/LA designers in stock (Tulle, Free for the People) they also had an awesome collection of second hand vintage and designer clothes.  I'm telling you - I scored a black 2006 Betsy Johnson dress (which FIT - normal Betsy designs don't accommodate for women with what we should call - ample - bosoms.)  AND, a pair of 15 eyelet Doc Martin boots in excellent condition... total cost to me?  $30.

How friggin' sweet is that?

So sweet that it isn't even marred by the fact that a Question Mark Yelper place marked this business barely a month before I stumbled in there in order to score the FTR.

*Raised eyebrow*

Nish?  Anyone?  Is this thing on?

(And, yes I am aware it might shock some people to find out that I am anything approaching a fashion whore.  But, I am.  Deal with it.)

This is a pretty cool place. I got an awesome Goorin hat there yesterday, with the bonus compliment from the clerk dude that I'm really on top of things, getting all springy before all the other hat-wearers will.

At least I'm taking that as a compliment.

The selection isn't vast, or anything remotely approaching vast, though it is pretty good and, unlike most other places that sell the best of the vintage, the prices are reasonable. I got an equally killer blazer for 14 bucks -- I'd have happily paid 5 times that.

I love that they sell rubber city clothing company attire.  Funny stuff, quirky (in a good way).  Only been in Revival a couple times, so I can't give the best revies.
