I heard through a friend that Millbrae had a new skin care facility and I decided to check them out. First I went onto their website and was impressed with the information, services and skin care products. I made an appointment for a Microdermabrasion/SilkPeel - when I first walked in I was warmly greeted by 3 friendly women, and one of them got out of her way to show me their skincare line before I went into the session.
My skin had been suffering from stress and breakouts-the session itself was heavenly-Marissa is an excellent esthetician with a peaceful spirit. I normally don't like to talk during sessions, but because the SilkPeel is new to me, she was happy to answer my questions regarding the steps, process, and effects. I was given a facial, a neck and face massage, and then the SilkPeel (Microdermbrasion). I didn't want the session to end, but she did an excellent job on helping me relax and my skin looked radiant. It's been 2 days, and my skin has improved immensely. I am going back to buy the SkinMedica line as my skin responded well to the cleanser and creams.
The place itself is beautiful and has the SPA feel. I met the general manager and Dr. Gayle Misle. They were helpful and informative and they don't pressure you. I am happy to find a classy spa who delivers cutting edge skin care services and products.
Yes, they won me over as a returning client!
I just had a Silkpeel by Kathleen and it was the best treat I could give my skin. The procedure was very relaxing and Kathleen made the process seem so easy, she explained the process as well as told me about the cleansers/medicine applied to my skin to do a thorough peel. Silkpeel is indeed wonderful to your skin and does not even hurt a bit.
After my Silkpeel, I went into consultation with Dr. Misle who took the time (I didn't even have an appointment) to explain Profractional and Microlaser peel for my acne scars. She quoted me a package treatment and even gave me 30% discount. Wow! Indeed a good deal. I am going back to book my session and will definitely do a review update when done!

Driving past the large looming sign at 5 a.m. for work, I spot the sign that inspires me to eat more and cheat a little bit.
"Laser Liposuction"
I look down at my own thighs as I whizz by on the way to the 7-Eleven to load up on a potential snack for the drive to work and wonder what a little lipo love could do to it...

One of those pretentious establishments.Front desk staff,too dolled up.They look like theyre going to a party.A little bit intimidating if you go there with your sweat pants.The owner needs to pay attention more to their clientele instead of keeping track on whos coming or going to the door.
Overpriced for a so so service.Not worth going.

I am so glad my sister in law told me about this place, the staff and manager were wonderful and so helpful. I got the Silk peel facial and found it very relaxing even for a peel my skin feels soft and smooth Kathleen did my treatment and explained everything she was very professional and friendly at the same time. I got 30 % off which is the special they are offering right now and will be back soon.

I went to the Dermalounge before going over to Reviv and Reviv won me over. Dermalounge was quoting 500 for IPL and Reviv had quoted 400. Reviv had my attention.
Besides price, Reviv is brand new, beautifully appointed and what really cinched it for me was the fact that the person who would be performing my BBL (IPL) and my profractional was a doctor not an esthetician or nurse. I really felt like i was in good hands.
Their lasers are new and the rooms are private and soothing, not too clinical. I'm skittish about getting things done to my face but Dr. Misle was very good and answered every question I had and even pointed out the Sciton website to visit. My procedures should have taken an hour but she really took her time and was very thorough, revisiting spots that needed more work.
They are a full service Med Spa. They have SkinCeauticals and SkinMedica that they promote. They offer them as suggestions and tell if you really need them or not. I respect that and I love that they have non metered parking spaces in the front. No looking for parking or worrying about the meter during facials anymore! Woo Hoo!
I just want to thank all the fabulous ladies at Reviv, Marisa, Alison, Kathleen and of course Dr. Misle for taking such good care of me. Thank you!

I got a Silkpeel Facial and now my skin is smooth and moisturized! I had very dry skin and a few dark spots that are now fading away! The surface of my skin feels very soft and I've stopped wearing foundation due to a natural glow! The staff was very pleasant and informative. The facility is very pretty and calming. I would DEFINITELY recommend Reviv Med Spa to everyone and I will be back soon!
omg i love this place.. al the girls are so nice and the place is beautiful. plus laser is 50% off right now!!!!!!! so far i had 3 sessions for brazillan and its amazing!!! omg i want everything done!!! careful its addicting.... plus i had a facial done maybe 6 weeks ago and my skin still feels amazing.
I just wanted to let people know that Marissa is a wonderful esthetician. I am an esthetician myself and love getting facials at other spas by other estheticians because it's a great learning experience. Although, most of the time I walk away thinking "that's something I will NOT be doing to my clients," this time I walked away thinking, "that's exactly the way I want to treat my clients!" She was the 1st esthetician that told me I had beautiful skin! I know I don't have perfect skin and I should never step out of the house with out make-up on, but to hear that she saw something beautiful about my skin was really nice for a change. When she analyzed my skin under the mag light she started with a compliment, "you have beautiful, soft skin - no lines or wrinkles." She went on to say that most of the way my skin is was because of my heritage - the skin I was born with. Then she recommended products, and treatments that will help with dehydration, my hormonal/stress-causing breakouts, and my hyperpigmentation concerns.
Another reason I really like her was that she was friendly! She treated me like a person, not just another "face" she was working on. During the peel she asked me about my life: work, my hometown, etc. It definitely wasn't too much talking by any means, just enough to make me feel like she cared.
I could tell, being in the business myself, that Marissa is very knowledgeable, loves what she does, and is passionate about skincare. She will teach you how to keep your skin healthy, but at the same time make you feel good about your skin. It's not always easy for me to accept my skin the way it is (being the skin obsessed perfectionist that I am) but Marissa definitely helped!
Overpriced. The manager did not know I was standing right there when she asked her employee rudely if I had paid. Snooty and pretentious establishment.

This spa is a beautiful, calm and friendly place. I have had facials at several places over the years and this one was gentle and effective, Marisa is a lovely person who seems to know alot about the skin and tailors her treatments to the individual. I have not tried other treatments, but would consider it given the medical and very professional approach.
