This last time I ventured to the exiting world of Resource, I got these old tin railroad signs that I turned into funky clocks, I almost bought a new toilet seat, but the salesperson said that I had to buy the entire toilet.  

Resource is an amazing reclaimed materials heaven right outside Boulder... I know it doesn't want to be, but it is still a little secret in the world of thrifters...

Think of Resource as an adoption center for building materials.... The materials are deconstructed from barely used home, second home, and third home renovations or remodels and donated to Resource. Resource is an amazing refuge for old/used windows and window frames, bathroom and kitchen cabinets, doors of all sorts, wood flooring, ripped out stoves and kitchen cabinets and sometimes if you are lucky, lone toilet seats.

The Construction and Demolition Waste program of Boulder's Center for Resource Conservation (CRC) helps scared building materials escape the scary landfill. CRC does this by making sure contractors have easy access to recycling the materials in compartmentalized trailers on job sites.

The money earned from Resource goes in circles and pays for maintaining Resource itself and maintaining educational programs.
