I had an amazing stay here. HIGHLY recommended. I'm picky. And I adore this place!
Only one minor thing I have to mention is I wish there was free wi-fi in the room. But apparently, no one provides that anywhere else. However, free wi-fi is available downstairs.
It's your loss if you choose not to stay here!

I agree with all the fellow Yelpers that posted about Kona by the Sea. This place has it all. The view is fantastic from every balcony. The property has its own tide pools and sandy beach and you catch the sunset right off your own balcony every night.
Tip -- Save some money and use your kitchen if you're staying longer than a couple of days. Shop at the local Costco off of Hina Lani (10 mins from here). The BBQ grills provide some seasoning, but you won't find other essentials in your cupboards (like salt, pepper, soy sauce).
Bring incense or a travel candle. It's the tropics, so the ocean air and the humidity wreaks havoc on the curtains, furniture, etc., giving the place a musty smell. Even the cupboards have an odd smell so give your cups and glasses a rinse before you use them.
Great water pressure on the showers. Basic cable on the tube, a DVD player in case you need to throw in a movie to keep the kids busy, and best of all - the condo does come with a bottle opener and a wine opener so you can promptly take your drinks to the lanai and watch the sunset instead of paying for an overpriced cocktail at a restaurant.
Fantastic condo property if you are staying in Kona and at fairly good prices. As another reviewer noted, its not much too look at from the outside, although decent looking, but the inside has been tastefully renovated and features higher end finishes that I wasn't expecting.
I believe all units feature a kitchen so you can cook your own meals if you want. There is also a great BBQ area by the beach which a pleasant perk. The pool is decent and definitely a place to take a dip or sit in the hot tub.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Location is convenient to most of the southern kona activities and with fairly easy access to kailua-kona town, while also convenient to keauhou and all of the coffee plantations. Your basic condo propety but at a terrific value!
Stayed here during our week long stay on the Big Island. Excellent facilities. Condos were huge and fully equipped. We had two flat screen televisions, washer and dryer, two bathrooms, and an awesome view of the beach. They also have a heated pool, a jacuzzi, BBQ grilles, lawn chairs for sunbathing and internet at a small price. I would definitely recommend this place.
If you want a condo on the Big Island, this is a great place to stay. It might not look like much on the outside, but the inside was a very nice surprise. We chose an Oceanfront 1 bed, 2 bath. We got exactly what we asked for. When we had meals in the condo, we would always go to our lanai and watch the waves.
