I stayed here with family about a year and a half ago and would probably return because the beds were comfy and the pool is extremely close to the ocean! The view we had was beautiful. Unfortunately, I lost the phone that had a great picture of the view from our room, but just imagine serenity afar (ocean) and luxury below (hotel, pool, etc.).

The service was exactly what I would hope for if I were a tourist visiting the islands... they did a great job hiring because everyone we encountered had the aloha spirit, even the towel lady near the pool.

I will forever remember this hotel because it is the one place where I realized I was REALLY sunburnt... I looked in the mirror of our bathroom and the look on my face was priceless!!! Red, shocked, and PRICELESS. I know this has nothing to do with the hotel but it has a LOT to do with the memories I have there hahaha...

I didn't eat any of the food but it looked pretty good, and the drinks at the bar were a little on the weak side. That wasn't a problem with me because I didn't need to get too dizzy while dipping in the ocean and lounging by the pool... especially with my sister and little cousin. I also really liked that it wasn't so commercial. It was nice, yes, very classy and serene, but out of the way enough and had just a tiny little gift shop.

The only thing I really don't like about this hotel is its name. It doesn't even SOUND exotic or relaxing... more like an Indiana Jones adventure to find a spa in the middle of the jungle. But now that they've picked the name, they're stuck with it huh? I can't say much about pricing because someone else paid for the room. (BALLIN!)

A friend and I spent 3 nights at the ResortQuest in Kapaa, Kauai in March. We had a really great stay at this hotel! It was definitely better than I had expected. It felt like we were at a Marriott, which may be due in part to the fact that it used to be a Courtyard--but don't let that fool you, it's nicer than your "normal" Courtyard Marriott!

We were always greeted by friendly staff. We only had lunch the first day in the Cook's restaurant, but it was fine. I had 2 lava flows while we were there, and they were among the best I had on the trip!

We didn't use the pool at all because we were going strong all day, every day, exploring the island. But, the room was very nice and clean, and the beds comfortable. Also, the day we checked out we had a redeye at 10pm.  We checked out and they stored our luggage for the day, and then we used their "hospitality suite" to shower and get ready for our flight.  Word of caution on this: You can only reserve ONE HALF HOUR per room, not per person...if you go over your time in the room, they charge you another night!  We are not high maintenance girls, but getting into the room, opening luggage and getting shower stuff and clothes out (and repacking), and 2 girls showering--it was just 30 minutes, and we had to dry hair and finish getting ready in their public restroom.  It all worked out, but if you have more than two people staying in a room, careful on this one!

All that aside, I will definitely stay here again, and I would recommend it to family and friends. Great value for what you get!

My wife and I received lomi lomi massages there.  I had a male therapist and my wife had a woman therapist.  Both were very good.  We felt sooooo relaxed there.

OK, so this is the hotel I come back to. Last year my husband and I stayed here and we are staying here again this year.

The reason: It's great for the money. OK, it maybe that Pleasant Holidays has got some great deals going, but this hotel certainly makes it more affordable than the other hotels on their list. Even though it's a ResortQuest, it used to be Courtyard by Marriot only about 3 years ago. Marriot spent a lot of money renovating this place, so the stuff here is still very new.

This hotel is right there next to the beach, so you can pretty much pull one of the lounge chair onto the sand and just lie there. Or if you'd rather, stick around the pool (which isn't far from the beach).

Though things may be slowly changing. Last year they still had a gift shop and this year that's gone. Last year there was a chef at the breakfast buffet and this year he's gone too. But all in all, this is still a great place to stay at for the price, cuz it feels like a much better place than the usual ResortQuest hotels.

Also they run a Luau here too so if you like that, you can attend the Luau and just walk right back to your room, allowing you to down as many mai tai as you want.

So if I am coming back here next year, I sure will be looking at this place again.

This is a typical yet solid luau.  The food was OK in that the salads and fruit were great, but the meat/fish dishes were not.  That's OK, I like their selection of salads.

I think their alcoholic drinks are watered down.  That means you need to drink more.

The main attraction, the luau was great though with a small production of 7 dances.  The dances were skilled and enthusiastic.  I don't know if I would have the same enthusiasm entertaining cheap bastard tourists.

Tickets were $70/person, though we had a discount for staying at a sister resort.
