I usually stay at some type of Marriott hotel when I travel because of their points/rewards system and they also offer a decent state rate. (They also have decent AAA rates too)
This particular hotel was a great experience all the way around. The front desk staff was extremely helpful when checking in and I also called to get a recommendation on a place to eat. The hotel room itself was very clean, it had been re-modeled and had a very home-y, warm feel to it. The big kitchen had the granite-looking counter-tops, and stainless steel appliances with everything you need to cook a meal. There was also a flat screen TV, a large bathroom, basically there wasn't anything lacking from this room.
When you travel a lot, everything blends in together and it all looks the same, but as soon as we got here we immediately noticed some of the little differences that made it stand out. Like when we walked in we were starving and the complimentary bag of microwave popcorn did the trick. Yeah, that's not such a huge thing in the long run, but when hotels are cutting back on everything these days, it was nice to know that they weren't.
The hotel itself is right in front o a golf course, the area is really nice, and it's only one exit away on the freeway from the major shopping centers. All around, this was a great hotel, I will be coming back at the end of the month when I'm down in Oxnard again.

Located in a safer area of Oxnard, it was home to the Dallas Cowboys training camp. This year they had camp at their old stadium cause of the opening of the newer one, or so I heard. Just like any typical Residence Inn with a small full kitchen and a possible upgrade with a loft, but the hotel is next to a nice golf course. Most business are a few miles drive away but I give it a four stars for being near the only Popeye's establishment in Oxnard.

I stayed here last night. The rooms are very nice. The room I stayed in was very similar to a bachelor or a single apartment unit. It was a living room/ bedroom combo, with a nice size bathroom and a small full-sized kitchen.
Everything is remodeled and up to date. The staff is courteous and helpful.

This is a well laid-out Marriott property with very good customer service. The rooms are new, some of their 2-level loft suites have been renovated, and the neighborhood is pretty safe and quiet.
They have free WiFi, very clean rooms, new appliances (dishwasher, full kitchen, refrigerator), and somewhat decent nightly rates if you book early. Marriott has been kinda squeezing their customers these past 2 years; you have to plan ahead if you want to get a deal at this (and most) Marriott locations.
The rumors were true! As soon as I turned into the parking lot, I was on the tail of the Dallas Cowboys team bus! Sadly, it was empty.
I noticed there was a lot of security around and half the units were fenced off, I guess those were reserved for them. During my 3 day stay, I didn't get to see any players, the closest I came were the towel boys and parking Next to Jerry Jone's Escalade.
oh, the hotel, still 3 stars. To make the players comfortable, instead of the lounge, all the regular guests had their continental breakfast outside in a tent. haha

Out here for work, decent place. I usually opt to stay at Residence Inn's because it has a very homey feeling. This particular one was Okay, I've stayed at much nicer ones. The one here has about 20 separate 4 room units, it seemed kind of spread out and doesn't look like a safe area to be walking around at night. The room I got had an akward set up, but comfy. They need to re-vamped the decor of the rooms though, A little dated.
They lobby area and breakfast room is really nice and . . .
Rumor has it that a lot of professional sports team come out here to practice in a nearby field. I was there the week some soccer team was there, I don't follow soccer, so I wasn't sure who they were.
BUT the upcoming week that I'm staying there, the Dallas Cowboys are suppose to be staying there. So I guess well see by this time next week if it's true. I'll be sure to be hanging around the lobby a lot that week LoL j/k
