Residence Inn by Marriott
1 review for Residence Inn by Marriott
For the uninitiated, here's the deal: Residence Inns are supposed the be the "home-style" Marriott chain. All the rooms have a kitchen so you can cook for yourself so you can delude yourself into thinking that you're not at a hotel. If you're not the cooking type, they host a "evening social" where they have appetizer-type foods to nosh on. They post the schedule of the finger foods on the fridge in your room so you can plan accordingly.
I've been to good Residence Inns - this one is just nuts. I checked the schedule and saw that they were serving chicken wings - one of my weaknesses! I wandered over to the lobby where they serve the appetizers and look for the wings.
The warming trays - empty? That's odd. Oh look - there's bread and a bowl of potato salad? I suppose those could go with the wings. I'll just get some and wait for the wings to show up. No, wait - that's not potato salad! It's tuna spread ... and the bread must be to make sandwiches.
What kind of sick FREAK thinks that tuna sandwiches are a suitable substitute for wings? You can't be serious! Mixing up a batch of tuna spread and slicing bread and veggies for sandwiches - even college students can "cook" better than that!
If you're thinking of telling me that tuna is "chicken of the sea" ... forget it!
