Once upon a time newspapers made lots of money. People would call all day long placing classified ads which were sold by the line, not by the inch like display ads. A page of classifieds would yield more revenue than a full color double truck (that would be a two page spread for you civilian types).

The internet came along and newspapers would charge EVEN MORE for the ad that went online - this was fantastic for them because the cost of producing the online ad was about 99% less. WEEEE!  FREE MONEY!!! We love this new fangled internet thing!!!

Then this guy Craig started giving online classifieds away FOR FREE. And they worked. Really well. Better than newspapers. Or their websites.

So now I have to stay at the mother fucking Residence Inn. No room service, no bell hops, no in-room movies. Just me, my kitchen, my bad art, and the horrible coffee I just had to MAKE FOR MYSELF.

I HATE YOU CRAIG.

I've stayed in different Marriotts before, but I would probably pick a Residence Inn over a Courtyard or regular Marriott any day. You feel a little at home in these apartment-like units.

Four of us stayed in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit equipped with living room, dining area, & kitchen (with fridge, pots, utensils, sink, plates, glasses, etc). I while my parents had one room & my brother had the other, I stayed on the sofa bed 'cos I wanted my own tv. :) There's 3 TV's total (1 for each room). How great accomodating is that?

Plus, since we were in the area for a wedding, my mom & I had so much room at the vanity mirror to get ourselves ready. All our make-up wasn't cluttered especially since there were drawers where you can put your things in.

Fun Fact: I needed band-aids so I went to the front desk. While waiting in line, I noticed there was an area where you could purchase band aids & other essentials. I thought "Damn.. I need to pay for band aids, but I don't have money" Still, I waited in line & asked if they had a few spare band aids & sure enough, they gave them to me without having to pay. :)

OH! It's also NOTABLE that there is a free continental breakfast int he morning until 9:30AM (or was it 10AM?). Anyway, it's not just boxes of cereal, bagels, & juice laying around. This breakfast is like a buffet equipped with eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, fruits, a make-your-own-waffle station, bread&bagels (you can toast them too!), tortillas, and other fine breakfast essentials. I think there's a Happy Hour as well.

Anyhoo.. eat like a champ & sleep like a baby at the Marriott Residence Inn. ;)
