Pretty good so far.....

I'll give any place that allows early-check-in an extra star.  not sure if that is typically a good sign with regards to capacity and turnover of rooms, but whatever.

the room is good, parking at this location doesn't seem to be too much of a problem..... free wifi..

Ok... the entrance here isn't huge, so you might miss it.

I got nothing to complain about so far, and a pretty good experience.

This is a really comfortable place if you have out of town guests that you do not have room for.  Two of my girlfriends were staying here before a move and I had the opportunity to see the rooms and the facility.  There is free wifi in the rooms, which are decent, paddle tennis, a work out area, a computer in the lobby, a full breakfast, various snacks to vend, and the outdoor pool and jacuzzi are nice and clean.  I think I will stay here when i tent my house and pretend like I am on vacation.  You can walk to Manhattan Bread and Bagle as well as Rubios from here, and of course Target, so it is hard to go too far wrong with this place.  Of course you could choose that Swanky Boutique Hotel that we all know, but somehow this one seems much more down to Earth.

What a nice hotel. I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years. My experiences have been good for the most part, so much so, that they have begun to blur together. Yet, this Orange County Residence Inn stands out in my memories, and I'll tell you why.

Driving down the suburban development that is Sepulvelda Blvd isn't very memorable. I remember shuffling through mapquest printouts and saying, "it should be coming up... Wait! There's the sign!"

The hotel complex isn't your atypical setup, where you have a gazillion rooms all in a row. It's more like a series of duplexes or apartments - free standing buildings with four rooms apiece, two ground and two on the second floor.

When I walked into our room, I was happily surprised by the layout and the cleanliness, not that I would have expected less. A small two cushion couch greeted us, just right to kick off your shoes and relax. The bed was neatly made with a couple of long pillows. The room also contained a kitchenette. I always like traveling and booking stays in rooms with little kitchens. That way, you can save yourself money, make yourself a nice homey meal, and eat in cozy privacy.

The grounds of the hotel also had a pool, hot tub, and lots of parking space. The main office building served a pretty standard continental breakfast in the mornings - waffles, fruit, toast, yogurt, and bagels. On the second floor, the fitness center has a fitness machine, treadmill, and ellpitical machine. Free towels too. I don't always find the time to work out at the hotel gym, but this time we did. Fun stuff.

I know nothing about the hotel should standout,.. But it does. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet. You could say I felt really comfortable here, and that isn't always the case.

I really liked this place.  Its pretty close to LAX, so that was a plus after another epic Coast to Coast flight. (OK, so I flew from Houston. the Gulf Coast. Technically it is coast to coast)

It was nice checking in on Dec 30. The staff was friendly, and gave my gf and I a pretty nice room. It had a living room with fireplace and kitchen.
I really liked the place because it had a really homey feel.
You can really live here as if it were a small apartment. It is close to the beach area somewhat.

You can also save money since there is free internet, and also breakfast and dinner buffets.

The spa and pool are also good touches.  This hotel presents a pretty nice chill experience.

I would definitely stay here again. If im in manhattan beach. the area itself seems like a sleepy suburb, but the beach is pretty nice.

This place is great, I would rather stay here than anywhere else in Manhattan Beach. You have eveything you want at this place:
-Just a mile from the beach/downtown Manhattan Beach
-Free breakfast buffet (not continental crap)
-Happy hour during the week (free beer/wine, salad, and appetizers)
-Pool, 2 spas, fitness room (24/7), laundry room (24/7)
-Super friendly staff (they all are very willing to help you)
-Nice/clean rooms with living rooms and kitchens
-2 story loft style penthouses (with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms)
-free shuttle within the area

Trust me ive milked the benefits these hotels have offered me (Residence Inn's) and go back to them as long as theyre within the area im traveling to.

You feel like your in a home away from home when you are here which is rare when you are in a big hotel that makes you feel packed in. Here there are only about 8? rooms per building instead of 50 rooms per floor.

You definately dont want to throw a party here though, ive seen a few rooms get vacated right away when they got too loud, i almost thought about throwing a get-together here but its pretty strict, which is good because most of the people here (including me) need to get some sleep for work the next day.

Residence Inn is one of those extended stay hotels.  Staying here for one night, and I can tell that many are spending the time here to while away the time until the bank forecloses on their home.

For the deal of a price that I got this room for in Orbitz, I was expecting a roach motel with a buzzing defunct sign.  I was wrong.  The room I got was large.  It was essentially a studio, larger than the ones you'd find in Manhattan Beach.  Staff was friendly, and really enthusiastic, which is something that surprised even me.  However, basic household items you'd find in a Holiday Inn Express was missing like toothpaste, body soap, caviar, a maid, and a personal stripper.

I stay here several times a year.   its a really good hotel to bed and the food is really good....and FREE if you stay here.   Substantial breakfasts everyday....Monday thru Thursday you get a free dinner with free beer and free grocery store wine.   The dinners vary from soup and salad to burgers and hot dogs.   Not bad at all if you want to save some money eating in like this.  Its even better if you are traveling with your family .....

The rooms are like a small apartment.... you can get a bedroom and a separate living room.....it has a full kitchen if you want to cook yourself or have to because of special dietary restrictions....

I try to stay at Residence Inns where ever I go.

Stayed here during a weekend trip to LA from San Francisco.  We were in town for NASCAR!  YES!  Sweet!

Wasn't really sure where to stay in the greater LA area but picked this place after digging around for a dog-friendly hotel.  Our dog likes road trips.  So the deal was that you had to pay $100 extra for a dog (for the whole trip, not per night).  I almost actually got away without paying the $100 because they never really asked (after I booked online and told them I was bringing a dog) if I had the dog.  Housekeeping knocked one day and Booger yapped a little so we got busted.  They called me up to tell me they would tack on the fee and I actually argued a little because in their little binder they had in the room it said $75.  They recently raised it she said.  Meh!  Yeah right!  They honored the $75.

Anyway, that's just a dog-tangent.

For $100 a night (plus the dog fee, yeah yeah) we got a huge one bedroom suite.  It had a kitchen, big bathroom, desk, couch, tv and bed.  It was clean and modernly decorated.

My only complaint is that parking was sort of a bitch.  We got in late at night and had to look around a bit for a place to park... and the lot isn't even that big.

Oh, I didn't eat the free breakfast but I heard it was delish.

OH! Also, it's very close to downtown Manhattan Beach.

If you need to stay in this area, I highly recommend this hotel!

And if you need to stay in this area with a dog, I recommend it even more highly.

The great thing about Residence Inn is that it's like a condo or studio. You have a fully equipped kitchen so you have the option of cooking and not paying big bucks to eat out. Of course, all yelpers love to eat out since it gives them the opportunity to write up new reviews but you know, if you want to stay in and cook, then this is the hotel to do it in.

The room was very spacious and clean. They sell snacks and drinks in the lobby and there's a bottle of aquafina water in the room if you want to pay $2 for it. I suggest you just go to the Target down the street and buy a whole 12 pack and stick it in the fridge.

There's a small workout center in the main building with 2 treadmills, a biking machine, a stairmaster, and lifting machine. Free copies of magazines are available as well as fresh towels and cold water in there.

There's a main pool that's open till 9 p.m. and a hot tub that's open 24 hours towards the middle of the site.

The staff is very friendly. It can get a little loud in the mornings.

There is a continental breakfast served in the mornings and it's a pretty nice spread considering it's free. There's even a make-your-own-waffle station.

If you're looking for a nice place to stay in Manhattan Beach at a reasonable price, this would be your best bet.

When out of town guests are in, and Seaview Inn is not their style, this is the place.

Too the setup of the Residence Inn properties is excellent!

This is a good place to stay especially if you're taking your dogs with you. I found this hotel through http://dogfriendly.com. The hotel is in a good location. It's about one mile from beautiful Manhattan beach. In addition, Target is right next door which makes things convenient if you have forgotten some of your travel essentials. There are lots of shopping centers close by and a mall with Macy's and Nordstrom department stores. Should there be a pet emergency (god forbid), there is a veterinary hospital located across the street  which is a big plus for pet owners.

We stayed in a clean and comfy penthouse loft which was perfect for me, my hubby, my friend, and my 3 dogs. The penthouse was equipped with a kitchen, small dining room, one bedroom and bath downstairs, and a second upstairs. The penthouse is like a two story apartment home.  The cost of the penthouse was $199 which is reasonably priced considering the location, amenities, and size of the room. Breakfast is also included. Since I had my 3 dogs, I had to pay an additional non-refundable $100 pet fee which I don't mind because it would have been more expensive if I had  them boarded. Plus it's hard for me to travel far without my dogs.

Breakfast was pretty good. They have assorted juices, cereals, pastries, hot dishes (sausages, bacon, eggs, tater tots), and waffles (which you would have to prepare on your own with the ready made batter next to the grill). Parking is hard to find at night because the lot isn't that big. So when night falls, expect to walk a lil more to get to your room.

Overall, I like this place and wouldn't mind at all staying here if I travel to SoCal with my dogs again.

This isn't a 4-star hotel, but it is nice for a Residence Inn.  The rooms are relatively clean and the staff is very accomodating and attentive.  This is a good value for the money.

There is close proximity to a Target and Trader Jo's so that you can get stuff for your small apartment-like rooms.

I would absolutely recommend this for a family.

this is a great pet-semi-friendly hotel.  the accommodations are clean and spotless, studio-like rooms; full kitchen area, fire place.   extremely friendly staff.  do not miss the breakfast spread and the happy hours.  parking can be a bit of a struggle, that is if you don't pass the hotel entrance from the speedway track (sepulveda can move fast).

i still cannot get over the $100 non-refundable cleaning fee for pets.
to be truly pet friendly, i would suggest having info available for travelers ie, local dog parks (i asked, and was assisted with an internet search).
