Really, I don't know where to start with this one. I guess I should start from the beginning... I was laid off from my job of over 10 years in Chicago this past November. In January, I was offered a job for a firm to help start an office in the Boston area. I took the job and relocated my husband and 11 month old daughter to the Residence Inn in Framingham Mass (like 20 miles west of Boston). My daughter and I lived at the Residence Inn for 11 weeks, while my husband traveled between Boston and Chicago, but stayed with us most of the duration. She actually learned to walk there, cause what else is there to do in the middle of winter on the east coast, but walk the halls. We were there for the Super Bowl. Imagine, a true Bears fan watching the Pats go to the Super Bowl again, thankfully losing again. But that is neither here nor there. Back to the Residence Inn...The service was friendly, professional, dare I say, outstanding. The women who worked the desk were a saving grace. Seeing there smiling faces every morning helped me start my day with a more positive and productive attitude. Being stuck in a hotel with a child for 11 weeks is not ideal for anyone, but they made me feel at home.

The hotel was at the tail end of a remodel, and we moved into a newly renovated suite halfway through our stay, it was very nice, not fancy high end nice, but clean, well designed, and new nice.

The breakfasts and dinners that were served during the week and are included in the room rate were always fresh and decent. The kitchen staff was caring and hardworking. They put out quite a spread, especially for breakfast. My daughter befriended most of the staff and misses all the love and attention she received while we were there. We also met other families that for whatever reason had relocated to the Residence Inn and were lovely as well.

Housekeeping was a little off while we were there, but overall our little suite was kept clean and neat. For anyone in the Boston area looking for a home away from home, this is it! I actually miss the staff and some of the other families, and still keep in touch with them.
Being away from your comfy home is hard, but being here really made the transition much easier for me and my family.
