I am not a fan of business travel, but staying at a nice hotel can make it tolerable. The Renaissance Agoura Hills surpassed my expectations given the rock bottom rate of $125 a night that I was able to secure through my employer.

The rooms are generously sized and came with free wi-fi and and wide screen HD television. I thought having the iPod radio clock was a hip accessory and made use of it every day I was there. The bathrooms were well appointed, but the lighting was a bit dim, and I was disappointed that they did not have one of those nice magnifying mirror extensions available (guess that is more than the $125 rate could accommodate). The beds were among the most comfortable I have ever encountered (second only to my own) and I slept soundly and comfortably.

At first sight, the gym appeared to be lacking, with only a couple of exercise bikes and some exercise stations. It was only after I groused my way through 45 minutes on a bike that I realized there was a separate cardio room with at least 5 treadmills and 3 elliptical machines. My bad for not noticing the tiny print next to the initial weight room entrance that pointed to the cardio center next door.

The lobby area did not offer anything special (except a placard noting that Dancing with the Stars would be shown on a large screen TV in the "Liquid Lounge"), but the hotel bar was fairly nice. My only complaint was the "L" shape of the room, which limited your ability to spread out if you were in a large group. Pluses for the cool looking armchairs that had patterns and shapes right out of Alice in Wonderland, and for the bartenders who waited on us each night we were there. They had their work cut out for them with our large group and performed well under pressure.

Stayed here this particular weekend
http://www.yelp.com/to...

It's a nice hotel in the middle of nowhere (well, it's pretty close to Thousand Oaks if that counts for anything)

The internet connection in the room sucked donkey balls...I didn't check out the free Business Center because the person I was with banned me from Yelping that weekend.

My favorite thing about the room was the beds- OMG, I loved the beds. I don't know what it was about them, but they were great :)

There's a nice bar in between the lobby and rooms, but we weren't able to drink there because I didn't have my license *sad face*

Thank goodness there's a liquor store about a mile away from the hotel that sells Belvedere (they even have cute mini bottles).

Cable wasn't too bad...we watched Beakman's World (I didn't know that show was still on!), some Chupacabra documentary (that was freakin odd) and played a drinking game watching "Romeo Must Die."

That was an interesting weekend for sure :P

This is a business hotel, the rooms are decently adorned with all of the things you need to work through the day.  The lobby is warm and welcoming, the bar is small and closes at 10:30 so not really inviting for the late worker hoping to find some relaxation.  Free wi-fi was a nice touch, the Plasma looked good but most of the channels were fuzzy and not clear. I prefer the Hyatt down the road a ways but for the cheap rate it did the job.

Very clean and comfy, cute decor, seems like they are trying to be as hip as my fave chain (Kimpton hotels) and doing a pretty decent job!
Staff were diverse and friendly without being cloying, bed was SO comfy, parking was free (yay!). Printed out our boarding passes at the business center which was handy, easy drive to the Malibu wedding we were in town for.

This hotel seems to have all the amenities that I need for business travel. The rooms are clean, they even supply robes for you!  Wide screen TV's, free WIFI, fridges and really comfy beds complete your room. They also have an IPOD charger radio in the room. The staff is very professional and nice and the room service is very good. They offer our company a complimentary buffet breakfast which is actually very nice. They have a concierge service for Platinum Elite members which consist of breakfast items in the morning, beverages thru out the day and hot items for dinner all free which is nice for a quick snack when you're on the go. The location is also very convenient to other restaurants and businesses, even though it's not very close to the airport and traffic can be hell. But overall, I really like this hotel even if for leisure.

Kathleen is right if you need to stay near Conejo Valley this is a great location.  The hotel is nice and clean.  I like that they have robes in the rooms.  It's close to a lot of non chain restaurants and close to the 101.  I think this is one of the better hotels in the Conejo Valley

Stayed here over a weekend for a wedding. For the price I paid and even if I paid more I would've liked this place.

Aside from being in Agoura, this is a great hotel.

The service was prompt and very helpful.

The room was very nice with a flatscreen TV and full HD channels. The workspace is great for anyone having to do some business while here. Bed and linens were very nice and comfortable. Pool area is nice. My room was on the second floor looking out on the pool and it did get a little noisy with kids playing in the water during the day but nothing crazy. Didn't see the fitness center.

Across the street is a bar/lounge I went to Saturday night. It had live music, no cover, drinks are a little pricey though with $10 for a mixed drink... the crowd is a little older but there are a smattering of younger folks so it could be fun.

I paid a total of $78 bucks for one night here. It's considered 3 star. So for the price and the comfort level I was very pleased...

We paid a wedding rate of $104 a night, and I'd say it was a helluva bargain. This is a very nice hotel; the room are clean, have decent views, there is a great pool and decent fitness room, and a convenient restaurant. We got great service all around. The location is not so great, Agoura Hills is sweltering in September and not near enough to the beach. That's my only complaint, though.
