I honestly don't come here for the tea. Their selection is a bit of an overload to us tea newbies, but the staff is always extremely helpful in expediting your decision.
I come here for the little sandwiches and treats. Their scones are divine and their sandwiches are other-worldly. They are so unique and flavorful, I tend to only order for myself so I don't end up stealing my companions food.
Remedy teas is the only place I require my visiting friends to go to with me. It has such a Seattle feel to it. I would die if this place went out of business so I always try to order as much as I can possibly eat and leave 'em a tip. This place is truly my favorite.
If you enjoy tea and peaceful spaces, there isn't a single thing to dislike about Remedy Teas. Tucked away on the hill, a sense of calm permeates the air, spiked with a warm welcome and genuine smiles.
The decor and atmosphere were carefully considered and it shows. Picture all of the beauty of Ikea without the clutter and generic accessories. They use beakers and test tubes along with simple vases and clean lines; I am a big fan of the color scheme, a spring green with white accents.
Loose leaf tea selection is amazing, with over 150 organic teas in every flavor and for every ailment imaginable. Definitely recommend the Deep Sleep for anyone who is having trouble getting a good nights rest; being able to purchase in 1oz sizes is a huge convenience, and the pricing is very reasonable.
The staff and ower are not just helpful, but are the picture of zen contentment. Their knowledge, interest, and dedication are immediately evident from a few small conversations - and they strike the perfect balance of unobtrusive attentiveness during tea service. You can always smell any tea you're interested in, and if you're unsure about what to order they're more than happy to assist by asking a few questions and making suggestions.
In addition to teas, they serve a nice selection of light snacks, sandwiches, and other beverages from local producers, including some delightful baked goods and chocolates. My only problem with Remedy Teas is making the time to visit more often.
Remedy Teas is one of Seattle's local treasures!
I ordered the small full tea service, which exceeded my expectations. You get to pick what goes on your platter - everything from the tea to cookies, scones, and finger sandwiches! We took the barista's suggestion and tried #61 Black Satin - it was amazing! With 150 organic teas on hand, the selection is really impressive. I can't wait to go back and try their other teas!
They FORGOT my order .. when I finally got my sandwich, it was dried and disgusting!
Tea was okay though but the iced chai (with bananas and some other fruits) was awful ..
And it was freezing in there.. my friend and I had to go somewhere else cause we couldn't sit there more than ten minutes!
Compared to all of the mediocre tea cafes I've visited in North Seattle, Remedy Teas in Capitol Hill wins the day. Miro Tea is the only close competitor, but Remedy Teas, in my opinion, offers a much better overall experience.
First of all, the tea menu here is way more extensive, the baristas are more polite, and the atmosphere is more relaxed. Although I know the following statement is subjective, I also prefer the music I heard here compared to other cafes that jam music from baristas' playlists. When I come in to a spot that plays Jazz-Fusion (perhaps some Miles Davis, although I couldn't say for sure) and some Indian Ragas I feel pleasantly surprised. In addition, the tea itself was very tasty, aromatic and relaxing. I ordered an herbal tea, since I had to wake up the next day at 4:45 AM, so next time I will actually order a green or black tea. However, I was completely satisfied with the herbal selections they presented on the menu, and the Detox Tea blend they served me.
Another note regarding the atmosphere here. The sedate environment here is perfect for studying and reading. I wish they had a chess or checkers board for more casual patrons, but, if you go to Remedy Teas looking to do something introspective like studying, you will have no problem adjusting to this environment--unless you are one of those people that can only function in a noise-free library environment.
I only wish Remedy Teas was closer to home :( This place is great!
The tea selection is outstanding and the staff was very helpful.
I've only visited once so far, and while the list of teas is quint lengthy and extension, they try to make it as easy for you as possible to chose amongst the vast selection: the menus provide adequate descriptions, you can sniff most of the teas, and the staff seems more than willing to offer any suggestions or answer any of your questions.
I can't wait to finish up my current stash of looseleaf, so I can refill with one of Remedy Tea's amazing brews.
150 ORGANIC TEAS!
The store is a little bit hidden, but adorable. There's outdoor seating, the interior is modern, simplistic, and clean, and the best part is the tiny test tubes with all the teas so you can smell for yourself before ordering. It's cute.
I didn't even know where to start! I grabbed one of their menus and was immediately overwhelmed. I like tea, but 150? I knew I wanted something sweet (I always want something sweet), so I had my eye on a few and went up to the counter to order. I asked the guy behind the register what he'd recommend in the "sweet department" and he stared at me blankly. Too broad of a question? I changed tactics and asked him how the rooibos teas are. He said they were pretty good. I asked him which one he'd recommend. The blank stare again. Hmm.. helpful.
I ended up picking the "blueberry cheesecake" one just because I love blueberry cheesecake. Or any cheesecake for that matter. It tasted like blueberries. The supposed vanilla flavor was completely lost of me, but it was tasty.
I will come back again and again just to try all of their teas. They have several categories that include caffeine free, low, medium, and full caffeinated teas.
*wellness: functional benefits (hangover, digestive, deep sleep)
*white: subtle and light
*green: vitamin c, antioxidants
*oolong: between green and black tea
*black: antioxidants
*pu-erh: nutrient and medicinal
*rooibos: vitamins, minerals, nutty taste
*yerba mate: espresso of herbal teas
*botanical: flowers, roots, herbs, blossoms in natural state
Some of the ones I specifically look forward to trying: morning rain, peach n' peony, strawberry sunrise, pineapple green, cherry rose, just to name a few. I will be back!
Wonderful Wonderful.
What you get: impeccable service, vast selection of natural teas, smoothies, etc. and one sweet little environment.
I sat in the breezy outside seating where my tea was brought to me by a friendly server. I couldn't get enough of my chai soother smoothie.
This is probably the sharpest (and longest) menu I've ever had. Couldn't be more accurate.
Love, Love, Love!!!!
The Yerba Mate Latte with rice milk was really something spectacular. The price of it was also rather "spectacular" in the high-up-there sort of way, but... it was so very tasty. I think next time I'll just stick to pots of tea, though ;)
I have not yet tried the tea selection, but it looked good. What also caught my attention was the "high tea" option; $18 for a small (~2 person) or some higher amount for the larger one (3-4 people). I love nibbling on little sandwiches and goodies while I drink my tea, and I think it should be a more popular "meal" around here.
Space: They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
People: Some were chatting while others came to read or study.
So... I kind of love this place, and need to come back here again sometime with a friend (or two).
Oh, Remedy Teas,
How many essays have I written here,
How many teacups have I consumed?
How many cookies have I eaten here,
How many gloomy thoughts were foredoomed!
Great place for a cup a tea to sit down with or to take with you
I have been in here a few times now, when I was quiting smoking I went in and got them to help me make up some tea, to help clear the gunk out of my lungs that I knew after 30 years of smoking was gonna want out
they talked with me about my options and different blends, we decided on 2 different blends and they helped, I really recommend these guys if you are quiting smoking or feel a cold coming on
Yesterday I was on 15th headed to QFC to get the last few Items to make a Cheesecake, I was like hey Iced Tea sounds good, when I went in to remedy, I told the guy I was Picturing a Mint and Green Tea Iced and he was like no problem we will make that right up
it was perfect for me it didn't even need Sweetener in my eyes but they do have Honey, Sugars and a few other sweeteners if you so feel inclined
Enjoyed a quiet tea-time here the other day. Pretty busy for a mid week afternoon. Ordered a full afternoon tea. Nice selection of sandwiches offered as well as petite cookies and intensely good truffles. Also - the jasmine blueberry green tea was GREAT. The staff was extremely helpful and endearing. The array of teas offered is a bit overwhelming but honestly the staff will walk you through it all if you ask. Love that! I think it might be a little pricey here overall, but fun to pop in and partake in the organic tea experience once in a while. Modern atmosphere, but still cozy.
This is hands down the best Tea shop I have ever set foot in. I enjoyed an iced Matcha tea, served by a friendly worker, while choosing out a couple of teas. How is someone supposed to decide when there are 150 options? Wellness teas, white teas, green teas, oolong teas, black teas, pu-erh teas, rooibos teas, a yerba mate selection, and botanicals. All of which are organic.
My mind was swimming with options but after much deliberation I settled on the Detox, Hangover and Yerba Mate. Because well I like vodka. Now I can scrub my liver with the Detox, if I have too much vodka I got a cure for that, and then I can get wired on Mate. All three are equally good but I especially liked the Detox. It has a peppery licorice kick.
They also have a café which serves sandwiches, salads and baked goods.
As well as alcohol spiked teas, beer, sake, wine, and smoothies. I didn't have a chance to try any of those so am looking forward to the opportunity next time.
Definitely a place I will go to every time I am in Seattle.
This place is totally amazing. The tea selection is daunting! Great and innovative ideas for blended drinks and food all using tea. If you come here often enough you can get a sense for weird flavors you wouldn't have normally tried due to the sample teas they leave out. Recommendation: Any of the flavored Rooibos. And yes they have vegan baked goods! Squee! Want to try some of their actual food items soon, will report back.
Another perk, there are some totally hot baristas here. :)
ROCKS. I am a sucker for the tea wall display, the Adama tea cups (yeah battlestar galactica reference), and vittles. I reccommend drinking their strong healthy pots of Matcha in shop and taking home a bag of the iron goddess of mercy tea which is truly a superior oolong (especially on the 3rd+ steep). That blend warms my soul like buttered cream of wheat on a cold winter morning. It even has that subtly sweet honey finish that massages and soothes your throat all the way down. A surefire way to impress out-of-town friends!
I'm in love. Remedy Teas and I walk around Capitol Hill holding hands, singing "la la la..." *Sigh* I'm really in love.
Tea is an integral part of my life since I can't drink coffee due to caffeine sensitivities. But I CAN drink green teas and black teas and ALL other teas. My favorite is the Deep Sleep tea, late at night, after dinner, right before close. It will knock you out, which is something a high strung lady like myself needs. I can even eat one of their delicious vegan brownies and a Fran's salt rose caramel and STILL get sleepy drinking this tea. For those of you who don't understand that last statement, chocolate is high in caffeine.
If you aren't looking to get sleepy, they also have teas for beauty, weight loss, digestive, hangover, aphrodisiac...shoot they even have teas mixed with alcohol if that's your bag. There are sandwiches, salads, cheese plates, desserts....I don't need to go on, just go and experience it yourself.
CAPITOL HILL. Remember that, because there is another district w/ 15th ave.
Service was whatever; I felt they could have extended their service a bit more.
Cookies were decent -- we liked the ginger one.
Burnt sugar dark chocolate truffle - delicious.
Tea - we some white tea #115 I think ... not bad.
Sandwiches not so great. The nutella one was not bad though.
I'd say 3.5 stars ..
List of things to do/get to be happy when going to Remedy Teas:
1. Get a cup of Blue Hawaiian Tea (coconut-kissed).
2. Get a Cuke' Classic Tea Sandwich (made with fresh organic cucumbers, chive cream cheese and an exquisite creamy spread, all this simple, zen deliciousness on organic white bread with chopped chive garnish).
3. Get a Burnt Sugar Truffle from Theo Chocolate or maybe a Cornmeal and Rosemary cookie. Tough call.
4. Get to be the sample-glutton-sans-shame. Try ALL the hot tea samples before settling for the one you know you love (see above).
5. Enjoy thoughtful, kind service. Always. Always. Always.
6. Get to go to one of the most delightful, serene and placid places in Capital Hill.
I make a point to come to this place every time I am in the area to get hot tea during the dark, cold Winter and refreshing, iced tea drinks during the lovely Seattle Summer.
How can't you love a place where the kids menu goes like this? (From their website)
"Kids Tea Service

Lovely, lovely, lovely place! The experience of going to Remedy Teas is delightful! They have over… Read more »
The location is great, on 15th ave, which is lively but more chill than other parts of capitol hill, like Broadway and Pike. Remedy teas has nice big windows, it's very cozy, they have a great selection, and a nice patio with very good lighting at nighttime. They have about 150 teas and the ones I have tried taste wonderful. They have ice tea too, and beer, and good snacks. The service was really good too. The tea was delivered to the table on a tray with a timer and someone came by a few times to check on us. It was a little crowded on a weekday, so I'm a little unsure about trying to come here to study, but while its still nice out I'll probably try it since working on the patio is feasible. Either way, I'll be back here again with some frequency.
Remedy Teas cafe is bright, clean and well organized. There is an expansive selection of teas on the wall with a tea menu (more than 150 teas!) arranged by various themes: wellness, white, green, oolong, black, pu-erh ("funky, uncommon teas that are aged like a wine"), rooibos, yerba mate, and botanicals. Given this selection, you should be able to find a tea to suit your needs here.
Remedy offers tea brewed by the cup, small or large pot, to-go, and iced. You can also purchase loose leaf teas by the ounce. Teas have designated caffeine levels, which is helpful for those of us who shouldn't drink caffeine after 3pm unless we're pulling an all-nighter.
Remedy provides little sample tasting opportunities at the front counter. That day I tried cinnamon and fig (#63), which was warm and delicious, and ginger pear oolong (#47), which had a fresh, sweet zing. Neither of these did the trick for me -- I wanted to stay away from fruity teas because I had a headache. I found the menu a bit overwhelming (courtesy of said headache), so I asked the server for his suggestions and he was very helpful, narrowing down by how much caffeine I wanted, what my taste preferences were, and did I have a favorite type (green, white, black, etc). I opted for a delicious matcha green tea (#43), which was fresh, fragrant and frothy, if a little pricey. It hit the spot, pumped me full of antioxidants and helped my headache. I can't wait to go back and try #11, and 12, and 39, and 62, and 136...
I love tea. I don't think you understand...I LOVE TEA!
There are over 100 varieties here at Remedy Teas. I have sampled the licorice tea and I liked it. This is amazing considering I can't stand licorice. The beauty tea is tasty and my favorite so far is the Apple Tea.
I came here the night before my 27th birthday to meet with my best friend Nisreen. We enjoyed soup and some cute little cucumber sandwiches.
The ambiance here is lively and the subway tile as well as the lime green paint is a perfect haven for cool nights! FREE WIFI!!
What a delight, this little tea hangout.
The Pluses:
+ Kid friendly. Not only in kids-corner amenities, but an accommodating attitude amongst the patrons and providers. No sneers, jeers, or rolling eyes, just a casual atmosphere ranging from "minding of one's business" to "greeting little strangers bringing little treats".
, and Delightful Touches:
The clean-modern-alchemy motif struck a powerchord with my nerdy, mad scientist heart. I got such a kick out of seeing Erlenmeyer flasks tucked into odd spaces (in use as a water beaker!), it didn't just strike a chord, it unknowingly struck Evolution by Van Halen. There are 122-odd corked-pyrex test tubes are lined up against the wall, waiting for you to pull the cork and release a tiny tuft of tea fumes into your nose. What a fun little world to explore.
Don't come hungry, because the Theo bites and the lavender tea cookies won't sate you ~ they'll just annoy your appetite like a 9 year old thumping a pencil repeatedly on your forehead. Instead, come to meander and surf, and keep yourself (or look) busy in public.
I rolled into this Tea joint very eager to try a tea from a cafe that focused on Tea rather than coffee.
In all honestly, I was quite intimidated when I saw their wall of 100+ cups that signified their drink selection. But, I was very intent on getting something yummy from this lovely place that I went to.
I ended up ordering something I am a bit more comfortable with because I was a tad bit scared of the sheer variety that was presented before me. I was a bit surprised by the timer and soaking of the tea leaves, but that is probably the coolest thing about it.
I was served by a very cute girl with dreads that just made me feel like I was in the fanciest cafe I've ever been in.
After the meeting I had, a "slow period" hit and I was able to enjoy a relatively empty cafe with my laptop. Fairly fast wi-fi.
As a total Seattle stranger, (and this being my second place for me to visit so far), I have to say this is a very remarkable cafe and not something I am accustomed to. Which = Innovative inside my own little universe. Go Go Go!
Remedy Teas is one of the loveliest places in Seattle! I come here nearly weekly for hot tea, their delightful cucumber sandwiches (always thoughtfully garnished with fresh fruit), or to replenish my stock of Earl Grey Creme, which is like crack, only in tea form and slightly less habit-forming. Just slightly.
It is SO nice to relax in a place that is staffed by super polite and passionate folks, many of whom are brightly-colored with tattoos and dyed hair, rather than ambivalent hipster asshats. I am totally willing to spend tons of money in this place because the service is flawless, the tea is always fresh, and the decor is chartreuse-flavored chem lab. Being served an iced mango tea in an Erlenmeyer flask just about makes my damn day, ever time.
I often let the baristas pick a tea for me, and I've only been let down once in the 9 months I've been hitting this place (and I've had probably 90+ different teas at Remedy). Don't bother with the floofy but tasteless blooming teas--go for the Pine Smoked lapsang souchong (it tastes like a leather jacket, but in a good way), the aforementioned Earl Grey Creme, or the white chocolate-laced Roasted La Creme. YUM.
Wonder how I missed this place for two years. So many teas (over 150) so little time: wellness teas, white teas, green teas, oolong teas, black teas, pu-erh teas, rooibos teas, yerba mate teas, botanical and pure botanical teas.
We had the small tea service ($18) that came on a tiered serving platter with 4 squares of tea sandwiches, a small pot of tea (we chose #6 Relief), a premium truffle, four cookies, sliced fruits and a scone or baked goods with butter and jam. Our service was friendly and we were impressed with the freshness and quality of the ingredients they used. I wish the location were West Seattle. Shucks.
Remedy Teas is a delightful atmosphere in which to relax and enjoy a cup of tea, a bite of lunch, or a light pastry.
Those with an eye to style will appreciate their cheerful combination of function and presentation.
It's nice to have a tea shop on 15th in the quieter part of Capitol Hill. That alone, makes this a good place. They carry a wide variety of teas, all situated to sniff along the side of the hall by the door. They also have no shortage of varieties for trying before you order.
They offer light-lunch in the form of tea sandwiches and soup. They also have toast available, which is a really nice change from your too sweet/too savory offerings I normally expect. The ambiance isn't terribly soothing, unless you score a seat along the back wall bench, but there are a couple of good places to camp out for studying, reading or having a long chat with a friend. The employees have also been happy to offer me more hot water for my spent tea leaves, so I could extend my stay.
Oh Remedy Tea.... How I yearn for you. I have been going here for awhile now, and been slacking on the review.
If you want to try some amazing tea, some good, fresh vegan grub, and a cool green place to hang out, I recommend Remedy Tea. The name suggests some very homeopathic hippy joint, which it is not. It's modern and cool, and while there is a small selection of remedy type tea for your ailments, they have a very, very good selection of white, green, black, oolong, and herbal tea. Check out their website if you won't take my word for it.
The people that work there are laid back and will help you out if you aren't sure how to brew your tea. There are always 3 sample teas you can try if you have no clue, AND you can get some tea brewed by the cup, small pot, and large pot.
Did I mention all the vegan food? Yeah. And gluten free stuff too! And they have a couple things that aren't vegan, but no meat.
You can also purchase their excellent tea by the ounce to enjoy once you get home. It's not as much fun as being there, but it's still amazing. My personal favorite is Morning Rain, but you should really go yourself. You'll like it.
As you know, tea is the new coffee. I never really liked coffee all that much (I know, what planet am I from?!) but I do love me some tea. I am especially fond of green teas, an area in which Remedy excels. They have many, many varieties of green tea, including two types of matcha (both of them are quite good). Teas are housed in vials which looks cool and protects freshness. You can purchase them by brewed cup or by weight.
I like to go in here late on week nights because it's very quiet and relaxing. The inside of the shop is full of comfy, modern seating and it has a nice dim ambience. The staff is very knowledgeable and every time I've been there they treated me well.
Besides the very large tea selection they also serve lovely tea sandwiches and other light fare. I cannot get over their cuke sandwiches. They are my favorite. I've never had anything here that I did not like, and the full tea service is fun and tasty when you have several people.
On top of all that they also sell some cool tea pots and mugs so you can brew your fabulous purchases in style at home.
I only have one tiny gripe about this place, and that is on the mixing of the usucha. It was way too thick. Usucha is supposed to be thinner than matcha but it wasn't. It still tasted good, though, so I will order it again. Maybe if they have more practice making it they'll get better at it? :P
Remedy Teas is a great alternative to the usual coffee houses. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Victrola, Vivace, Stumptown, Animals and other local independents. But, I am a tea person at heart and it is wonderful to have this nice of a tea cafe here on Capitol Hill located in the the 15th Ave corridor. Meeting friends for tea, working offsite on their wi-fi are reasons to be there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They take their knowledge of tea seriously without taking themselves too seriously...know what I mean?
The cafe is serene, clean and nicely designed. I love to hang out there. And, you can walk upstairs to 15th Ave Nail and get a quick mani or pedi - the price is right and the services are just fine. 15th Avenue East is one of the places to be on the Hill.
This is one of the best tea shops I've ever patronized--chill, fun, trendy, affordable, and offering a great selection--all bolstered by what seems to be a staunch commitment to organic, sustainable practices. Remedy has a great selection of stellar teas, but none of the snobbiness that can occasionally accompany serious tea shops. Remedy has something for tea fans and neophytes alike--a real gem!
While enjoying our two pots of tea and chatting with a friend, the table next to us which was 30 sec earlier talking about their exes and how some mutual friends were doing suddenly were pressed up against the wall, leg up in the air doing some hot and heavy making out! I couldn't help but stare, and had trouble focusing on my conversation after that. I quickly looked at their half empty tea pot and tried to figure out what the heck kind of tea they ordered. I am still trying all the teas in hopes of having that same reaction. I have yet to find it, but have found some pretty tasty teas in the meantime.
Great spot, and at least one tea will send you into sexual orbit, I witnessed it myself!
Ridiculously good tea selection, relaxing atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff AND they know how to steep the tea properly and do it for you. They have food from Essential Baking Company and do a fresh, modern take on full tea service. I always want to live near Remedy Teas!! My favorites so far:
Blue Hawaii
Roasted La Creme
Blueberry Cheesecake
(Can't remember the name, something about helping you sleep--it really works!!)
Nice place to sit down for a pot of tea. They have a huge selection and bring your tea to you complete with a timer that goes off after the appropriate steep time. We had the Iron Monkey Oolong Tea, very nice.
Most people here were on their Macs so it might be taboo to bring a regular laptop here. They also have books you can read and I learned some interesting facts from one of their green tea books.
What can I say that hasn't been said already? Remedy Teas is a tea lover's paradise! The atmosphere is great for reading or studying. There's a little patio area that's perfect for Seattle summer days. The employees are helpful and nice- especially the woman with the lotus chest piece tattoo. And they have gluten-free pastries!!! This is a huge bonus for me, with my newly-discovered gluten-sensitivity.
I can't believe I lived a few blocks from here for a long time without trying it out! Tea lovers should check out Remedy Teas. They have an extensive collection of 150 loose-leaf teas and herbal blends. They also have 4 pitchers of teas to sample that changes regularly.
The place is a bit hard to find, hidden underneath Subway and Teapot Vegetarian restaurant. The decor is competely zen, helped by the use of green everywhere.
The Blue Hawaii white tea (#12) is orgasmic! If you're a fan of orgasms, you must check out Remedy Teas!
This has become my preferred tea house in Seattle. The decor is definitely modern. The music is always appropriate and not too loud. The clientele is usually also more on the subdued side; studious sorts staring into their laptops, quiet bookish types entrenched in 19th century literature or the couple having a conversation over a pot of tea. The soft glow of tea candles used to maintain your beverage at a constant temperature imparts an aura of serenity over the place. Their selection of teas is probably one of the largest I have seen. They boast numerous types of loose leaf teas (whites/greens/oolong/black/pu-er), herbals, rooibos and mate. For a tea house they close on the later side (dailiy at 11pm) but wish they would stay open later.
Tea for two,
Me and you,
Timer's on,
Get the Roo-
bios...?
Damn! It almost worked itself out. Ah well.. ya love some, ya lose some (rhymes).. Hmm. Yeah, it's probably safe to say that that one's just 'lost.'
SOooo, what I'm trying to say here is that the shared tea experience at Remedy is definitely worth partaking in- more than once.
I've got a thing for the Super Antiox and the Deep Sleep. The Jasmine Blueberry is practically bursting with berries and the genmaicha will always be near and dear to my heart.
The (one and) only tea at Remedy that I simply WILL not partake in again is the 'Pine Smoked,' or Lapsang Souchong -- you're welcome, tea enthusiasts. It tastes like dad grabbed a handful o' fire pit ash and added hot water. No Thank You.
Treats, sweets, sandwiches, salads and smoothies.. Hell, even wine and sake! Remedy is a little bit of everything tucked neatly into an unassuming wi-fi hot spot.
Get there and have yourself some tea, a sammy, a sit, and maybe (just maybe) after some deep contemplation over a cup of the 'Iron Goddess of Mercy' you're be rhymin' with the best of 'em (me)...
Ahem.
I could have been wrong,
So I wrote you a song,
It might not be much but
Me love you Oolong.
Or.. just stick with the tea and leave the poetry to me.
Totally overwhelming yet calming at the same time. The great wall of tea has all these numbers showing all the different types of teas that they offer with a few samples on the side once you arrive. The font reminds me of crate n barrel, but the space is filled with your usual techie nerds, artists and people that just want to chill on a gloomy day in Seattle. The workers were all very knowledgeable with all of the teas and friendly.
I tried the winter blend pu-er because supposedly in ancient Chinese proverbs say "fat boy drink pu-er to be skinny" so I obliged. My friend had some roobios flavored latte that was delicious. The cups they serve the teas in are bodium and very unique as well!
One gripe though that I have would have to be not to get the Lemon Lavender Bundt Cake. Verrry Dry.
In the words of Katherine McPhee.. I'm So Over it (coffee houses).. its all about the tea! I hope they open something like this in LA soon! I love this place! Good for the mind, body and soul!
The staff here are disarmingly pleasant, the tea selection is stellar, and they have wi-fi. What more could you ask for?
Well... Seating.
