We all have bad experiences.

I understand where Kat is coming from, but this is a beauty "school". It is not a salon where all of the stylists have had their experiences.  On top of that,  I understand that there are tons of pressure on the instructors because they have to complete all of the students requirements before they graduate.

I am saying this because I have gone around different schools and salons around the world, especially Japan. I love fashion and style!
You might not get what you wanted the first time, but please understand that these students are trying their best to be the best in this world. Give them a chance because there are some great people trying.

And personally, I like the male instructor. He knows his cuts and knows what he is doing. I can tell that he has worked in that industry for years.

This is just an opinion and I hope those who are reading this will at least  give it a chance at regency. If you don't feel comfortable at first, start off by just conditioning your hair or getting your nails done.

It's taken me over a month to work up the courage to write this review.

I got the worst haircut of my life at Regency, and I recognize that it is entirely my fault. I'm a low maintenance person. I have low maintenance hair. I assumed that meant I could get a pretty simple haircut and cut a few corners in the price department.

I made the grievous error of going to a beauty school and telling them I didn't know what I wanted beyond knowing I needed a wash and go style and something that in no uncertain terms could not qualify as a "mom haircut."

To the credit of the student who did my hair, she was an extremely sweet girl. She did exactly as Captain "I Have Fancy Facial Hair" instructed. However, it was exactly what I didn't want, and it took her TWO HOURS. In between her extremely exacting ministrations, her instructor would come over and talk to her like I wasn't capable of hearing him while whipping scissors and a ruler around my head like he was the Tazmanian Devil on speed. Further, he intimidated the crap out of the girl cutting my hair, and that left me feeling obligated to comfort through the majority of the experience.

So, yes. I left telling the girl she had done a great job and wishing her the best of luck while thinking to myself, "Sweet Jesus. I just got a mullet." The lesson here? When you pay $9 for a haircut, you get a $9 haircut.
