Closed for good. Great BBQ when it was open. Now a Walgreens on the site.

New as of 3/15: OK, I see that they plan on opening in the former Ralley's spot on Troy Road (Rt. 159) in Edwardsville.
I wish they had a dining room but I'm glad they are back. I'll be waiting for some great BBQ! -

St. Louis is only known for a few things.
Ribs is one of them.
So I need to get me some ribs when I'm in the 'Lou.
Any place that lets you bring in a cooler full of beer (mostly busch by the looks of the place) to eat those ribs is allright with me.
And Red can cook up some tasty ass ribs. -

I had passed by this place 50 times, at least, before I stopped in. It is literally a shack on a corner of a busy road. It took a recommendation from someone else for me to try it out. I am glad that I did. Redz is awesome!
The ribs are great, the BBQ is awesome, the sides are fantastic. Never underestimate applesauce. On the inside, don't expect much. The chairs are uncomfortable as hell. But the bathrooms are nifty. I have never been in the men's but I was told not to eat the pink mints. You'll just have to check it out. But don't over look it because of its exterior. I think that was the look they were going for anyway.
You can eat in, carry out, and have them cater your event.
