This red lobster is hidden from the public. It is not on the main highway where every one can see it while driving by.

It's in downtown Chula Vista right by the police station so you would feel safe eating here. They have a parking structure behind the restaurant so there's a lot of parking but beware though, it still gets full at times.

There's a long wait to be seated most of the times but this is the only decent lobster place in Chula Vista so I can understand.

I am basing the 3 stars on my last visit.  It was a 3.5.

I hadn't been to Red Lobster in a really long time.  My husband and daughter wanted to take me out for lunch for Mothers Day and with all these Red Lobster commercials, I was craving it.  I am one of those people who usually order the same types of things over and over.  I get scared to try new things.  I don't know why...its just food!  Well I like to look at their "specials of the day" menu.  The last time me and my mom went for lunch months ago we fell in love with two dishes we ordered off that menu.  Of course it wasn't the same things.  I don't know how often they change that little menu, but  its a few specials made by the chef who is currently working.  Plus there is a fresh fish menu and you choose how you want it cooked.  The Mahi-Mahi sounded good, so I ordered the lunch portion for $17.  Figured it would be a decent size.  It comes with salad, broccolii and one side.  Changed the broccoli to mashed potatoes and added rice pilaf.  The one thing that everyone loves is the free cheddar bay biscuits they serve you.  I was craving these.  And they were yummy as usual.  When my food came out I was wondering where the rest was.  Ha.  The fish was small...it was the size of my small laptop mouse, but smaller and I asked to have it seared on the grill.  It had no flavor.  The texture was perfect, but I had to add butter, pepper and lemon.  The mashed potatoes were really good, but they gave me seriously 3 tablespoons.  The rest was rice.  My daughter ordered the chicken tenders and fries.  For being a seafood restaurant, their chicken tenders are really good.  My husband doesn't eat seafood either and got a bacon chicken sandwich I think it was.  It was SO dry.  It came with fresh potato chips that they make and fry themselves and they were really good!  Oh and I forgot to mention I ordered the coconut shrimp for an appetizer.  They were so good with the pineapple dipping sauce.  We all still had room left for dessert due to our small portions and my daughter wanted the chocolate chip cookie lava something with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  Mmmm.  Reminded me of BJ's pizookies, but better!  All in all the visit wasn't too bad.  I think we'll come back for dinner next time.

I am guessing every Red Lobster is the same.  But I bet they don't have someone named JULIE working for them.  Now she is cool!  Gotta love the gal!  One of the greatest customer service I have ever received is with her.  She's good with the adults but can be kiddy with the kids.

Yesss....those cheeese biscuits are delicious!!!!!  Stand out!

one tiny gripe:  my son loves apple juice and they don't serve it.  WTH!  wacksauce yo.  they only serve cranberry, pineapple, and some other kind.  sucks.  so he just sipped on water with his food.  oh, but he did love his food.

I got the Aztec chicken.  It's ok.

I love going to this Red Lobster. I thinks it's kinda secluded and it's next to the police station so it's kinda quiet here. Anyways what can I say about Red Lobster but I love going here. I grew up going to one and still love going to them. I'm sure my kids would love going in here even when they get older. They love getting crayons and they'd color away while I make my selections.

I'm allergic to seafood...except shrimp. So this is one of the places I come to for shrimp dishes. I love their Coconut Shrimp & the ceasar salad! MMMMmm. I haven't tried anything else because I'm not able to.. so the three stars goes to the service, good shrimp, and those complimentary cheesy biscuits!! If you haven't had their cheddar biscuits you are missing out. ---THE GREATEST!

The hubby and I frequent this location for Date Night. I love their Shrimp Scampi. The bar is also fantastic.

I'm a late-bloomer. For most of my life, I hated seafood in any form. Now it makes my mouth water. This place satisfies my hunger well enough. It may not be close to what Little Italy has to offer in terms of calamari-type appetizers, but it's got a solid menu for decent prices. Often called the Olive Garden of seafood, this location can get rather packed on Saturdays--and with good reason. It's the only one around here!
