Good service. Its been packed the past few times I went wih my family. Food is good like all the rest. My drink was great I guess they had a heavy-handed bartender working that night

I just moved to the area over the summer and had not yet ventured to this Red Lobster. Everytime it was a thought I would drive past and see droves of people standing around in what seemed like a very long wait. I decided this past weekend to call in my order and pick up to avoid the lines and kick the craving for the shrimp alfredo, ceasar salad and biscuits. I was told over the phone it would take 20 minutes and the order was placed at 7:13pm.
I arrived, found parking way in the back, walked through droves of fellow eaters and entered proudly heading straight back to the bar happy that I didn't have to wait because afteralll it was 7:53 pm by the time I got there (well over the 20 minutes I was quoted). First, I wasn't acknowledged until I almost tripped a waiter running from the back. Someone then took my name around 8:12pm and disappeared. Needless to say it was 8:43 (about 20 minutes) by the time I left with my food! Everything was not hot and steamy as I had expected from my long wait, and I was missing two of my side orders when I got home and reviewed everything. I was going to ask for a courtesy credit of one of my meals or extra biscuits, free desert or something for the wait but decided that I just will not go back and save myself the stress. -

Not the ideal place for fine dining but if you have ever eaten at a RL you can expect the same. The 4 stars are as a comparison to other Red Lobsters and not as compared to other seafood restaurants.
The service was good, food was edible and the ambiance was pleasent.
Feel free to order more of the famous bisquits.
The weird part of the night is when you ask for the check and the waiter asks you if it's cash or charge?! The reason is that if it's charge they will bring you the portable credit card processing machine. You then include the tip amount and hit the print button twice and you are set.... Except if you want to split a bill. Mission impossible
Tip: If you are expecting to split the bill by any number greater then 1... Tell the waiter in advance. -

Last night, my hubs and I had two options for dinner: Hooters or Red Lobster (these options were presented by a Brasilian tourist/friend of my hubs).
Now, I am a super fan of Hooters however, the thought of greasy deliciousness followed by ice cold beer didn't sit well with my Saturday boating plans. The idea of being in a bikini all day with my swollen Hooters belly, surrounded by my girlfriends who mostly don't work and spend hours in the gym made me choose the seafood option.
We get there and the hubs immediately runs over to the lobster tank and to choose his kill for the evening. The idea alone upsets me. I don't want to see my meal while it's still alive and then obscenely choose it's death for my satisfaction. I prefer to turn the other cheek.
We ordered 3 appetizers and one entree to compliment the additional 3 pound lobster. Why? I don't know. 2 men at a dinner table chose all that food. The stuffed mushroom appetizer is great. The shrimp bruschetta was ok. Can't remember the third. The entree we ordered was the grilled Maine lobster tail with scallops and shrimp. This was like walking on cloud 9. No room for dessert.
Ok, now for the sad part. Seafood is ideally the healthier choice over Hooters. It may very well be but it sure didn't taste like it was healthier and the butter and grease on every single plate surely didn't suggest same. I don't know if to compare this restaurant to any other chain restaurant. If so, I may give it 3 stars. But for the most part, I still see it as a seafood restaurant and my expectations were different. Perhaps more grilled food. I still left bloated as ever and comatose. There are many other seafood options I'd pick over this chain, but I won't say no if someone invites. I'll just be smarter about my choices from the menu. -

This is probably the worst red lobster i've been to. They were playing gospel music, for starters. The rolls and salads were great but my broiled seafood platter left alot to be desired. The scallops were fishy and the stuffed flounder was a bit tough. The shrimp scampi was good, but the shrimp were tiny. I ordered steamed broccoli on the side and it was bone dry. When i first saw it, i thought it was raw but it turned out to be cooked, just suspiciously dry. Very strange. My dinner companion had Salmon and a steak. His steak was cooked perfectly but he had to return the Salmon because it was so fishy and over-cooked. The waiter said "oh yes, our salmon does have a strong taste." He got another steak to go and sadly, that one was very overcooked. If you're in this area, I'd go to Flanagins or the Ale House instead.
