I waited a few days to calm down before I wrote this review, so now I'm only slightly irritated.

I came here on a Saturday night for a friend's surprise party.  If there's an economic downturn, you wouldn't know it if you were waiting for a table at this Red Lobster.  It was PACKED.

We went early to get a table as they do not take reservations.  We knew that we would have to wait since we were a party of 12.  The guy seating people said that he'd have to save a section for us and it might be a while.

30 minutes...45 minutes...60 minutes...We waited an hour and a half.  The guy (a few days ago, I would have written idiot) sat two different parties in the section he was saving for us and then said we had to wait until they finished eating.  Oh.  My.  God.

When we were finally seated, the manager showed up (where was he before?) and got the servers working like a machine.  Our servers were polite and attentive and fast.

We had the ultimate fondue appetizer, which was too rich and salty.  The seafood in it tasted as if it had been frozen.  I had North Pacific King Crab Legs, which were meaty and served pre-sliced (easy to pick apart), but they were also too salty.  Everyone's food was too salty.

So, between the guy (hmm, maybe I should write idiot?) pushing tables up front, and the salty food, it's probably better to avoid this place if you are watching your blood pressure.

Dude! The all you can eat shrimp fest is amazing!!!!!! Also, a bloody mary is only 4.50 and it is served in a huge glass! We tipped the waiter 20 bucks because he was really attentive and sweet. Spago it's not,  but for the price you can't beat it. The atmosphere was clean and surprisingly nice.  It was not packed but we went on a Monday at 4 in the afternoon.  I bet on weekends and after church it gets crazy busy! Also, it's a bit of a drive but it's kind of worth it!

Funny shit..they put a Red Lobster in the Hood. Its cuz they know how my people love sum *Skrimps*....I am not sure if it was a good marketing strategy or just a bad idea. Never go on Friday or Saturday night..its *DOA* ( not dead on arrival either) The staff although ghetto very nice. As we were entering tonight, my sister and I witness a dine and ditch. Funny as hell 3 servers and I believe a floor manager gave chase. Later that evening our server spun a tale of how earlier that afternoon a group of young girls with a fake credit card tried to pull a fast one. she said the police were called, the girls were cursing and acting unruly. The parents of 2 girls came to pay the tab and bail them out. (HILARIOUS) Anyway...my food was good. I love the fried shrimp for Red Lobster. Our orders were correct and our server was very sweet. Shaletha our waitress is what bumps this to a 3 star rating. She kept our glasses full and our biscuits flowing. I enjoyed my night. I do not eat fish, lobster, crab...pretty much just shrimp when it comes to Seafood so the review was more for my sister. she said she was disappointed because they do not server the Gumbo soup any more (which the waitress said was their best selling item????) and they do not offer petite shrimp anymore for the salads. So since it is one of her fave spots she said she is taking away points. I would go back.

The great thing about this place is that the waiters all believe they're at an American Idol audition. They are all up-and-coming Boys II Men members. I can't tell you how many times we heard them sing Happy Birthday to people who weren't even having birthdays. These weren't the typical waiters being forced to sing, all part of the job. These were waiters that live to sing, waiting for their big break. The Happy Birthday's were long and drawn out. "Toooo youououououououooooo" -Man.

I can't remember much about the food. I had the lobster tail, which was tasty, as is anything that is doused in drawn butter, but I could tell it had been frozen at one time.

Aside from being the only 2 white people at the place, and the least obese (for once!) the best part of the experience was the manager. An albino! Red eyes and everything! Powder works at the blackest Red Lobster in the world! I guess I'm more excited about this than you are. But, anyway, don't go to Red Lobster. It's fine, but not very good. The cheddar biscuits are good, but the risk of being shot in a drive by isn't.
Word?

As with any Red Lobster... I LOVE the Cheddar Bay biscuits... fluffy cheesy soft buttery biscuits... I ate about 6 of them before the meal came and being that I had the endless shrimp... I didn't really get my money's worth... or even almost get my money's worth... Got 3 servings of shrimp and only at 2...

But the only thing I really come to Red Lobster for is Cheddar Bay Biscuits....

As for the food... The snow crab legs are of course very hard to crack... It would be nice if they were cut sideways down the leg... okay never mind... too much to ask really...

For my endless shrimp I ordered the coconut, fried battered, and scampi... I hate dried coconut so why I even ordered that was a mystery... but the sauce is a pineapple cream sauce and it tasted more like a dessert... The scampi was my favorite and the battered was alright...

This establishment DOES have a full bar with TVs playing some sports games... for those interested...

This review had 3 stars, ongoing bad service and food changed my mind.

Customer service from the manager was not good.  A+
Customer service from waitress D-

When the waitress came to our table she said,

"Hi, I'm Melody How are you doing? Great? I'm doing fine thanks its not like you had to ask how I'm doing or anything! I'll be right back to take your order".

She walked away. She said it so damn fast I was shocked but I was like OK. I know we are in Inglewood but DAMN. G.H.E.T.T.O.

On to the Food Review:

Biscuits : YUM!! I Filled up on these !!!!!

Appetizer: Lobster, Cheese, & Crab Fondue Bread Bowl -  Filling and Good, But a little on the salty side, but still good.

His Entree:  Grilled Shrimp and Lobster Tail Platter with Rice and Veggies - Shrimp were dry and Lobster tails were the same size as the shrimp (TINY!!!) For $22.95 YIKES!

My Entree:  1/2 Order of Shrimp Alfredo. I was sooo full from the bread bowl that when my Entree came I barely touched it. The manager walked by and noticed and I just said I would take it home I was too full. He was SOOOOO nice and said he would take it off the bill since I didn't touch it.

Edit: I came here again on my birthday, it was close to home and I wanted to give them another Chance, bad idea. This time was the opposite of last time.

I ordered: Fried Sole Filets $10.99
He Ordered: Parrot Bay Coconut Shrimp and Grilled Lime Shrimp.

The coconut shrimp was just fried coconut, you could not taste the shrimp at all. The grilled shrimp were ok, but came out cold. Sauce was cold and gross.
The Sole was GROSS. No flavor at all. They didn't put ANY seasoning. I ate the baked potato and didn't touch the fish. Gross cold sauce on the side as well.

I asked the waitress about the Sole and she said she would take it off the bill. When the bill came they charged me $2.95 for the baked potato and took off the rest. LAME. Ruined my b-day and I'm NEVER going here again.

I think the point of this place is to get you full of yummy biscuits and then serve you crappy food. Did I mention they let ANYONE eat here, there was at least 4 people that came in their PJs and no shoes while I was here. GROSS.

My mom also went here and their are retarded. They served her a SALAD on a HOT PLATE. GROSS. Also my house salads both times have been drenched in Ranch dressing, like a soup.

What the hell @ the lack of Olive Garden's in the Culver City area? Maybe 411 lied but I couldn't find an Olive Garden to save my life today. I was armed with a $50 gift card and no where to go. Luckily I read the back and it said it can be used at any Red Lobster.

Sweet!

The hostess got us a table in 10 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. Seems like an easy task right? WTH WTH WTH. I'm not a frequent Red Lobster-er but is it normally this packed? There was a line! It's 2 pm! When we left around 4, it was even more packed. It's like the hot spot for old folks.

Service: Great. She checked on us frequently and apologized for the lack of cheesy biscuits.

Food:

1) Crab, lobster, artichoke dip - kinda oily, kinda salty, chips were greasy. Ehh.

2) Ceaser Salads - It's a Ceaser salad. You can't fuck up a Ceaser Salad. Don't worry they didn't.

3) Popcorn Shrimp and Fries - Honestly, I didn't even look at the kid's plate. I was just happy she downed her bowl of apple sauce.

4) Shrimp and Lobster combo - Effin' dry. The kid's dad has NEVER tried lobster before (hahahahahaha. loser). But this place made the kid's dad say, "Hmm. Lobster's overrated." Nooooo! Lobster is delicious! RED LOBSTER BLOBSTER is gross!

5) Broiled Seafood Trio - The rice was mushy. The scallops were juicy but drowned in butter. Shrimp was too salty and the stuffed sole was decent.

What did we learn? Red Blobster only has two flavors - Effin' dry and Effin' oily.

Thank god for the gift card.

Newly opened. Second birthday dinner.

It is your typical chain seafood restaurant. The service was great; we had two servers because the server was new because the location just opened about a week ago. The wait is atleast an hour, I'm assuming because it was a Sunday and it just opened recently plus it's in a busy shopping center. I got a 'make your own combination' - crab linguine, snow crab and garlic grilled jumbo shrimps. The atmosphere is fun; the only downside is waiting for your bill to come. There are only two checkout stations for the waiters/tresses; one at the bar and one by the bathroom.

Came here for Sunday dinner and waited about 15 minutes for a table because we had no reservation. I noticed a full bar, which one of our party made full use of. The garlic cheese bread puffs arrived shortly after we were seated, before our server returned with our beverages, and we wasted no time in inhaling them, and promptly asked for more. We decided on the endless shrimp deal, and the first round of shrimp took an eternity, so we just curbed our appetite with the wonderful and amazing garlic cheese biscuits. Our server brought everything we asked for, extra napkins, buckets of tartar sauce, etc. He was a bit sluggish, but very friendly. After our second round of shrimp, we were stuffed to the brim and didn't bother to look at the dessert menu. We rolled home, and I woke up the next morning thinking about the garlic cheese biscuits.

Very good service, bad food.

We went last night at about 7:00 pm, were seated promptly, and got drinks and their bread basket. Their biscuits were very good, and our waiter was attentive.

The entrees, though..... would you like some seafood with your butter? They absolutely drenched/submerged everything in butter; you could hardly taste the fish with all the butter that was on it.

Oh dear god where do i begin?

My dad decided to treat me and my brother to dinner. We chose the new Red Lobster near his home. We put out name on the list, get a little buzzer and it shouldnt take no more than 15 mins. We head to the bar for a drink.
First it took the bartender 20 mins to serve us because she was told we were already taken care of.  We give her our order and she gets my dad and brother's drink and then give mines to another bartender.....this is where it gets weird....I ask for a Malibu rum & diet coke. Simple right? The girl brings me a shot of Malibu rum, I ask where's the diet coke and she says its coming up, thinking she was going to use the nozzle thing....no she brings another glass with Diet Coke. My brother and I just looked at each other in amazement. My dad gets the bill, its $15.23 he refuses to to leave a tip he wanted exact change.
LOL
So another 30 min passes and no table and I see its getting more crowded and we're still not seated. I go to the front they said they buzzed us a while ago. So basically if I hadnt said anything we wouldnt have been seated.
Our server Andrew was actually very nice and attentive. The food was good (I'm on a coconut shrimp kick!!) but I sure as hell rather drive 35 mins to the Torrance location.
if you want to deal with ghetto ass people then go for it otherwise stay away from this location.

My husband and I love seafood and was kind of disappointed in this place.  The wait was way too long and it was too crowded, to enjoy a nice quiet evening with my hubby.
