Everything in Falmouth (and to some extent in Cape Cod as a whole) is stupidly expensive. The Red Horse Inn is no different but at least makes you feel more okay parting with your money.   The Red Horse Inn fits a comfortable mid-range area in terms of price and amenities. The location is excellent, minutes away from downtown Falmouth and equally importantly Holiday Cycle so you can rent a bicycle to get around the area with.

The young lady who checked us in was not only wicked cute, but also possessed an unusual exuberance to this cynical city-dweller that made me feel instantly at ease.  The other people who run the Red Horse are also kind and helpful, although not quite as excitable. We had some issues with the provided air mattress the third person in our room slept on and the staff were very apologetic and saw to it that we got a new one right away (which we did within minutes of asking).

The rooms are simply adorned but cozy. Our room was one of the smallest and with three was a bit full but still very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a truly amazing shower with lots of lovely pressure.  A continental breakfast is provided, which you ought to take advantage of given the expense of vacationing in the area.

My singular complaint was with the wireless internet. The website claims to offer free wireless Internet to all rooms, my room didn't get Internet access at all. Wandering around outside the other rooms with my laptop I was able to get somewhat reliable WiFI signals. The only place I was able to get reliable access was in the main office itself.  This is a problem that needs to be addressed - how else am I going to get my daily Yelp in?
