Danny is absolutely amazing! He is very skilled is a breathe of fresh air to talk to. He is very particular about his work (my pedicure) and gives the best foot/shoulder massage!

The ambiance is wonderful and it was the first time I passed out during a foot massage. I never knew I could be so relaxed during a pedicure. i highly recommend this place. You will not be sorry!

Facial and a manicure on a packed Saturday morning... I have only had one professional manicure in my life besides the one I had this visit, and this one was great. He filed my nails down to as short as possible (which I requested) while still tasteful, soaked and clipped cuticles which did not hurt at all, and then applied four coats of polish (base, 2 coats of color, and clear at the end). I'm interested to see how long this lasts. My nails look lovely. Three days later, I am still admiring them.

The facial was very good - so relaxing, and my skin feels smooth and clean. Nice microdermabrasion on the nose - I was scared because i have super sensitive skin, but having all that dead skin gone feels great and there was no skin trauma afterward. I had an epiphany this time.. I used to exclusively get massages in spas, but now that I have had a few facials, I'm actually ***too lazy to get massages***.

Thanks again Recharge and Daniel for a perfect visit which left me feeling relaxed and happy. All of the technicians in the spa are pleasant even if they are not involved with you, and no matter what treatments I get or in what combination, everyone does a great job of making the spa visit feel  complete.

Thanks again for your flexible schedule, great customer service and energy, Recharge.

Great place to get pampered.  Came back from vacation and my hands and feet were an absolute mess (camping can do that to you). It's one wee, later and my mani and pedi have stood up and my nails are now growing back.

Thank you Recharge for all your magic!

I've decided that many yelpers can be divided into two types: those who want to vent (or warn) and those who want to share discovery of something special. I fall into the latter category. I'm hard pressed to remember the places I don't like and quick to think of those special spots that have been come my select, regular spaces.  Recharge is one of those special spots. But why?

Danny does rock. I mean, just really good customer service skills.

I go here for manis and pedis. I'm not so much a mani person, so I don't know if someone with super fancy/discriminating nails would have a different take on the polish skills; I'm always pleased with the result.

I'm all about the hygiene here, and I find it plentiful.  Bowls, sisters. It's all about the bowls.

I also find there's something about the atmosphere that is more collegial/egalitarian than other places--I can't identify why i say that or where it is sourced from, but I notice it every time.

Perhaps the biggest sell for me is that the atmosphere is gender neutral, so I've gotten my husband, and even my uber alpha-male father-in-law to go with me for pedicures! In any instance, its ind of a unique place with it's own special environment that makes me more comfortable than most, so I thought I'd share.

My cousin & I came here in May when they were having their "20% off all services" deal. We couldn't pass that up.

I got an 80 minute Swedish massage. My massage therapist was fantastic. She really worked my muscles without making me cringe; her pressure was spot on unlike other places I've been where I feel like I'm being punished & tortured instead of being massaged. Also, she didn't cheat me out of any time. In fact, I think she may have gone 5-10 minutes over. I was really, really pleased with the service I got at Recharge.

My one & only complaint is that they only give one hot stone massage at a time because that's how their rooms are set up, I guess. My cousin had never had a hot stone massage so I told her to go for it, but it would have been awesome if we were both able to get hot stone massages at the same time. I felt like I just settled for a Swedish, which isn't much of a sacrifice, but you know what I mean. They suggested that I get one after her, but who wants to sit around and wait for 80 minutes before (or after) a massage? Please, Recharge--do two hot stone massages at the same time so my cousin & I can come back & enjoy your services together. Thank you kindly.

I have been needing to re-write my review for this place for months-- sorry Danny!

Just days after my negative review on Yelp, Danny (the manager/owner?) contacted me and offered me a free mani/pedi service if I would give them another chance to prove themselves.  That right there really illustrated to me that at Recharge, they absolutely care about their clientele and their experience.

So I decided to go back, and boy was I EVER happy I did!  I definitely caught them on a bad day when I first went (last appointment of the day on a Thurs/Fri) because this time, things were much nicer.  Ling is the one who did my mani/pedi and she is AMAZING when it comes to the shoulder/hand/neck massage.  AMAZING!  It's worth going there just for their great body work.  My nails also looked great for a whole week, which is ridiculously long for me because I am rough on my hands,

I still don't know if I'd trade this place for my regular nail place in my hood, Aqua, but I'd recommend it to anyone looking for pampering in the neighborhood!

I was hesitant to try this place out but I wanted to compare it to the other salons around my neighborhood and I must say that I was disappointed.  I will admit that the ambiance is great and the decor is calming, also the people that run the place are very nice but the quality is just not there.  I've only been there once and refuse to go back but maybe they have improved on quality.?

I came here for a simple eyebrow wax and not only did it hurt but they didn't even get all the strays off  (yeah an eyebrow wax can sting a  bit but I know the difference of when someone knows what they are doing compared to someone just setting wax and pulling it incorrectly)  *sigh* so I finished up, left and never returned. The services are more than the competition around them and I must say It's not worth it (in this case for a simple wax).

5 stars for Danny!

Only a few years ago did I realize the importance of having beautiful brows, and Danny promises to deliver Super Star brows to me every time.  I have no idea how he became the Brow-Master...but he certainly lives up to this title!  I drive all the way over to SF from the East Bay to have my eyebrows waxed...which tells you how great Danny & Recharge Spa are.

Thank you Danny for always giving me Super Star brows.  You have a great gift!  :)

LOVE Danny. I thought I would never get over my nasty, embarrassing nail biting habit; there is hope for people like me. Danny is a warm, professional nail genius for anybody wanting beautiful nails. My nails look better than they ever have and I'm not even halfway through my 10-weeks-to-beautiful-nails program. Kisses to you, Danny! You're the best in either San Fran or NYC!

One thing: if you are conscious about chemicals then you may want to bring your own stuff (eco-nail polish remover, eco nail polish, almond oil for cuticles, organic moisturizer, etc.) like I do. There are no acrylic nails done here so it cuts down a lot on chemical exposure.

I am a consistent person, I continually order the same food, shop in the same stores, and go to the same spas. I was having a facial and I was told that Recharge did a nice manicure. I called, went in, and loved it!

Danny is fabulous! He did a wonderful job on my nails. The place is extremely clean, relaxing, and quiet. It is environmentally friendly and just a great place to go.

I am not taking the cable car to get manicures from Danny and when he is finished, he e-mails me the receipt, and I am back on the cable car headed home!

I waited after a few visits to evaluate a couple services and the different rooms they provided me.  My first experience was unpleasant because the room they put me in for a laser hair removal, smelled like a basement, that it actually was. They placed some burlap decor over pipes on the low ceiling in the room and it smelled stale inside.  I thought with the fountain they had in there at least they could use some kind of aromatherapy.  They left me laying in this room too long and I felt uncomfortable.

Second, the laser facial treatments were far more painful then I had anticipated.  So bad I couldn't allow the doctor to do the second pass he wanted to do.  I've had other laser treatments before, Intense Pulsating Light for facial skin, and even with the numbing cream, this particular procedure at Recharge was too painful to endure.  The doctor agreed to provide me with relaxation medication prior to my appointment that seemed to help the last time I visited. I was able to get through it okay.

I've now had three treatments and one foot treatment.  My last service was the best and they served me wine and refreshments during my foot service.  I was still high on the medication and just enjoyed being pampered with rose water.  I left the place feeling "recharged" and really good about having visited there.

Was sad to find out that Andrea was no longer with Recharge Spa and was deeply disappointed that when I called to make my appointment they were not able to schedule the brazilian/boyzilian waxings back-to-back!

So I hesitantly dragged myself to my five o'clock brazilian appointment with Daniel thinking I would have over an hour and a half to kill after my appointment until the scheduled seven oclock boyzilian for my boyfriend.  As I was getting waxed, Daniel explained that he was hoping that my bf and I was going to show up together so he could fit both waxings in.  He let me know that after my appointment he had two eyebrow waxings to do then it'll be my bf's turn.  We chatted for a  short, pain-free 15 minutes and I was already done.

In the process of my brazilian, I found myself scheduling an eyebrow waxing of my own for later that evening.  An hour later, I returned with my boyfriend and found ourselves waiting in the waxing room enjoying a nice glass of red wine (which was a really nice gesture from Daniel).  As we relaxed and sipped our wine, Daniel prepared for my boyfriend's waxing.  He did a VERY thorough job and we shared a couple of laughs.  After he was done with the waxing he brought in hot towels for my boyfriend to clean off as Daniel set up for my eyebrow waxing (which went great).

Weeks later, I received a call from Daniel letting me know that Recharge Spa was having a promotional for their two year anniversary.  Since my boyfriend and I were going on vacation at the end of the month, I called to schedule our appointments.  As soon as I said I was scheduling a brazilian and a boyzilian, Daniel on the other end, recognized who I was!  That was great!!!  It made me feel like Daniel treats each client with a personalized touch!

P.S. At the time I made our appointments and found out that Andrea was no longer there, I hadn't checked my email account that Recharge Spa had on record.  I had thought she left without any notice to her clients.  After my appointment with Daniel however, I logged onto my account and discovered that Andrea had sent her clients an email with information about her where-a-bouts.  That was very personalized and it really showed she valued her clients!

I have been to Recharge twice now and both experiences were amazing!! My first time I had an amazing mani/pedi which included a flower foot soak and shoulder massage. Today I had a facial and the owner Danny did an amazing job and even touched up my mani/pedi from last week. This spa is super clean and filled with very friendly people. I know I will very shortly become a regular at Recharge.

my favorite place for getting a pampered pedicure was booked so i thought i'd give this place a shot.  i booked the creme foot treatment here and it was a good experience... a short massage, parafin wax, foot scrub and polish.

my main complaint is that the price listed on their site wasn't what i was charged, i was charged $14 more.  when i mentioned this when leaving they just shrugged it off saying the prices on their site weren't up to date.  i wish they would've told me that when i booked the appointment.  for that price I will go to my first place choice, nordstrom spa, since it's so much more of a relaxing experience in a private room for a few more dollars.

**Updated 09/14/09**
after leaving my review i was contacted by Danny about the price difference.  i was happy that he was responsive to refund me the difference and even offered a coupon for another visit.  he definitely scores for customer service and you can tell he wants happy clients.  i assured him i was happy with my pedicure i was just put off with the pricing discrepency.

So me and the Mr popped in on our recent (very romantic) weekend getaway to San Francisco. We had the couples hand and foot treatment which was fantastically amazing! So relaxing, comfortable and one of the best mani and pedi's we've had to date!

As we were getting done I started asking about guys getting Brazilian wax treatments. Daniel went on to tell me that its really popular with guys these days. After he gave me a brief run down I decided to go for it. The term "boyzilian" was used though I coined a more suiting term, "bearzilian"! Daniel took me back to private room where I took my pants and shorts off and hoped up on the table, ass up! Daniel came in and things got under way. He did mention (I will always remember this) "the more you arch your back, the less it hurts!".. if that isn't the truth, hehe..

Anyway, he uses a numbing lotion before applying the wax which I cant even imagine not using. However being new too this treatment I had no idea how painful it was going to be. Well since I am a bear lets just say I'm extremely hairy in all places mentionable and unmentionable! My trust was in Daniel completely and he did not let me down.. this service was excellent.. he waxed my entire crack, 'tween and my scrot.. afterward the feeling was just amazing, super silky smooth and slick. The pain, not to bad.. a little uncomfortable at first but didn't take to long.

I would so do this again in a heartbeat! The experience was extremely humbling (everything you hold private is out in the open and exposed completely) and the result, simply amazing!!

Thank you so much Daniel! Its been over a week and still smooth as a bear can be! You're the best! Go "bearzilian"!!!

If I could give more stars I would. I received a gift certificate for my bday from  "Spafinder". Reluctant at first, I decided to give the California Street Spa a try (also considering that Spa finder only had 3 spa's available in SF).

My experience was amazing, not to mention it was my birthday, I was treated like a queen. I scheduled a Pedicure (active foot treatment) and had the Paraffin treatment added on (wax that makes your feet super soft). Danny was such a lovely man and knew what he was talking about. He made me feel like I wasn't just a "new" customer, rather he made me feel like we knew each other for years and I had been his client forever. It was definitely the best pampering experience of my life.

I had a nice 1 hour cushion between my pedi and my massage and was super hungry. I was totally OK with walking to the nearest cafe to get a bite to eat. However, I didn't have to because Danny offered to do so for me. Super sweet and not expected at all. I like being treated like a wanted client and this is the feel you will get if you go to Recharge Spa.

After my Pedi I went to  get an 80 minute Swedish massage from Jayson. Definitely hospitable, definitely helpful (considering I was in the ER the night before and had an injury that would make other therapists run). I've never fallen asleep during a massage and it was my first time--if you don't call that relaxation then I'm not sure what is.

After my massage, Danny talked me into a facial. I've gotten a facial once before and was very reluctant to do it again. Danny's confidence enlisted such a trust that I decided that maybe he could be the one to change my mind. It was definitely memorable. He was also so gracious to give me the best complimentary gift ever-- dye my eyebrows. (Secret: my eyebrows are natural blonde/white and I pencil them in everyday. The biggest reason why I don't like facials is for the reason of my eyebrows going away. Danny really stepped it up to make me feel special, beautiful and loved)

He really reached out to please me and make my birthday the best ever! I am telling all of my friends and family about this super awesome Spa. Maybe in 20 years I'll dive in for the botox, but it's nice to know there is a MD on staff to do so.

P.S. I took a cab b/c dealing with parking meters didn't sound pampering... Danny did offer to feed my meter if I had one.

Now my mom had the Triniti photo facial treatment and just one treatment took at least 5 years off from her! All her sun damages, even the ones that weren't visible, came out to the skin surface and have started to fall out! And her whole face is noticeably tighter and luminous. It's like a magic.

And again, Danny, Philippe and the staff were fantastic. I went to pick my mom up with my son, and they entertained my son and gave him treats. I have never ever been to any spa that is so friendly and customer service oriented.

Now is the time to book the laser treatment series too.  You will receive five fantastic hand and foot treatments - a value of $245!!!!!!  What? You don't believe me?  See their website!  http://rechargespa.com/

OMG.  I have THE best boyfriend (and don't argue with me about that because you'll lose.  Then I'll feel bad for you and your not-so-awesome boyfriend. draaama.) who got me a mani/pedi/facial/massage gift certificate here for Christmas.  Because I'm in law school and refuse to take time for myself, it took me a whopping six months to actually use the gift certificate.

Welp, this Tuesday I walked into Recharge a frazzeled, frumpy law student and when I walked out I was a different person.  You couldn't even tell I was a law student!!  Oh yeah - it's that great of a spa.

Beautiful, attentive, refreshing, relaxing, comforting  (oh, and incredibly sanitary, which is awesome).  I'd say "Recharge" definitely lived up to it's name.  I will definitely be back for seconds.

Recharge Spa allowed me to escape the dreadful rainy day with an amazing spa experience. My friend and I both signed for their special at the time, a free pedicure with any $100 service. I picked the deep hydrating facial and my friend had a Swedish massage.

I had the best facial of my life here! Even though it didn't come with all the extra spa treatments they provide with facials at places like Burke Williams like a paraffin wax hand dip, the facial at Recharge produced the best results I've ever had. Rachel was extremely thorough with extractions and made it a very comfortable experience. She asked me a lot of questions about my skin and my skincare regimen, and gave me a lot of good advice on looking for products that work for my skin type. I also thought the head and shoulder massage with the pressure point treatment was amazing. I could feel my stress and tension floating away. Best of all, my skins was glowing when I walked out.

The pedicure was also lovely and definitely met the expectations I had for a salon featured for its pedicures in Allure Magazine. They soaked our feet in warm water and rose petal filled stainless steel bowls. They did an excellent job with the pedicure and foot and leg massage.  Plus they gave us tea, fruit and chocolate to enjoy throughout the experience!

I can't wait to go back for another facial and pedicure!

Recharge is a lovely place to spend an afternoon. Erin F., a very glamorous woman indeed, referred me to Recharge after we constantly complimented her foxy eyebrows. It was easy to schedule an appointment through their very thorough website, and I was easily fit in for that weekend.

Danny is a brow master. I had always been mostly happy with mine, but something seemed a little off balance. Before Recharge, I had been hesitant to let someone have artistic license with my face, for fear of the constant-surprise look. But in less than ten minutes, Danny worked his magic and suddenly I had lovely, shapely brows, but you couldn't really tell what he did. Even more interesting, thanks to Danny's work, I somehow look better without makeup. That is nothing short of a miracle.

During my last visit, I also tried the Essential Pedicure, which was recently recognized as the Best Pedicure in SF by Allure Magazine. It was fabulous. My nails looked gorgeous. Even better, it came with a shoulder massage. Unlike the weird grappling that passes as massage in some salons, this was an actual skilled, pressure-point treatment. Phan is really good at what she does.

This spa is also very man-friendly, and I have no hesitation recommending a gift certificate as a client gift. It would be really appropriate here. The front desk staff is always really sweet, too. Your lucky gift recipients would be in great hands.

My friend and I were dropped off here by our husbands for a wonderful day of Valentine's day pampering - and it was excellent.

The level of service and personal attention are incredible.  The owner Daniel pays attention to every detail and no expense is spared.  yet the prices are very reasonable!

I had a fantastic massage from Jason who worked out a few knots in my shoulders and created a really relaxing space for rejuvenation.  Kate did my facial and I loved it so much I bought part of the line she used on my skin - incredible results from one treatment!  I believe Ling did my nails and she did a wonderful job on my french manicure (and I am very picky about how my french manicures are done...)

The best part about the experience is that the people working on me were focused on the service they preforming, they weren't shouting to their friends/co-workers/family in another language.  So many time when I get a manicure the people doing it say 5 words to me in English and then prattle away in vietnamese or something.  But not here!, this is a wonderful and affordable day spa with a great focus on customer service.  I will definitely be back.

Oh, how I love Recharge, let me count the ways....Danny and crew are my absolute favorite group to visit.  I've been going here since 2007 and I've not had a bad experience.  During my appts I leave all of my troubles outside of the SPA door and I relax.  So much so, that I snooze during my mani/pedi's.   I've written a couple of reviews about Recharge and I stand behind those reviews, whole-heartedly.

What I continue to like about Recharge is that it really is a place of positive energy and tranquility.  I think that Daniel is what makes the place very special.  He is the face, voice and energy that draws folks in.  HE HONESTLY ENJOYS WHAT HE DOES!!!  I know that certain days are better than others and when he's not there, it feels really weird.

My favorite nail technicians:  Daisy, Ling and Danny.
My favorite waxer: Danny

The spa offers a WHOLE HOST of services.  From Hand and Foot Treatment, Massages, Facial Treatments, Skin Care, Cosmetic Medical Services, DAY SPA packages, GIFTS (tea, candles, home fragrances, bath products...) and Hair Removal options.  If there is a treatment missing from the menu, let the staff KNOW.  They respect and encourage your feedback.

Oh, I'm still crazy about the fact that they offer CHANEL nail lacquer (it is my favorite).  Very few nail salons offer it and I REALLY appreciate the OPTION. (Even if I've used Essie and OPI the last several appts)

In addition to the nail services, I've had the opportunity recently to try out the FotoFacial RF skin rejuvenation.  Upon consultation with Dr. Philippe Nguyen and Danny, I decided to address my concerns about age/sun spots and dark circles underneath my eyes via FotoFacial.  After the FIRST SESSION last month, I AM SO PLEASED with the results.  I opted for the pkg of 5 and after the first treatment, I rec'd quite a few comments about the improvement of texture on my CHEEKS.  The procedure IS bit uncomfortable and even though there is not "down time" per se, it does cause a bit of initial redness, scaring and flaking of dead skin.  So, you may feel a little self-conscious about showing your face around (for me it looked like I had gotten into a small altercation with a curling iron and my curling iron won - but keep in mind that response to tx is VARIABLE by individual) .  Yet, after a week and gentle exfoliation and a facial about 2 weeks after (with microdermabrasion), my face LOOKED RADIANT and the bluish bruise like bags under my eyes were decreased.

The recommended course of treatment is 5 sessions.  I just completed the SECOND session today and once again, I have a bit of puffiness and small brown flecks and what looks like rug burns on my face, but I know that in a week, I'll be looking F-I-N-E...with a capital F.

Tomorrow, I've booked a hot stone massage (80 min) and a session with Phillipe for BOTOX (I'm not ashamed to admit it, y'all).  So, hopefully, I'll have even more remarkable things to share with you in a couple of weeks.

By the way, the 5 sessions of FotoFacial = $1600, Botox = $16.00/unit administered and my hot stone massage = $150.

The spa isn't CHEAP, but it is definitely not expensive compared to places in Union Square or in Cow Hollow (on Union St).  Plus, I feel so comfortable with my Recharge family.  I know that I'll be taken care of...So, Danny, you better have some fruit and tea ready for me tomorrow!! *haha*...

PS - if you have a car, there is metered parking in front of the spa - staff will assist you in feeding your meter so that you don't get a ticket.  If you don't find parking there, when I stop after work, I sometimes park on the side street of hyde or sutter (non-metered - 2 hour parking).  Of course, I live close enough to walk....

(HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!)

I recently found Recharge Spa after a friend had recommended that I come here.  I was in desperate need of a massage after a busy holiday season and, believe it or not, a busy January.
So, I took my friends recommendation and booked a massage with Kristin.  I am so happy I did!!  Kristin was extremely friendly and very detail oriented.  She took me into the room and asked me where I hold my tension and if I would like for her to focus on particular areas.  I wanted my back and shoulders to feel better.  They do now!  She found every tense spot in my back and managed to get out the knot in my shoulder that has been there for 4 years!  It has been 2 weeks now and it's still knot-free!!!  YAY!!!
Feeling stressed, need a massage?  Go see KRISTIN!!!

This place is fantastic.  The manager guy here, I donl't remember his name b/c I'm bad with names, is awesome.

They have great customer service and make you feel very comfortable.

I got a pedi here a while ago and really need to go back.  They did a great job, pedi lasted a while.  And I got a free shoulder rub at the end.  Hooray!

I have never regularly gone to any spa, but I am quickly becoming a regular at Recharge - this is entirely because of their incredible service!!  Everyone is kind, accommodating and Danny is very very talented.  I have tried several of their services and have been impressed ever time.  I have been recommending Recharge to everyone I know!

I'll start off by saying Recharge is NOT your run of the mill nail shop where you're in and out in 30-45 minutes flat for a mani and pedi and/or where you are distracted by the chattering of employees who are more caught up in the latest gossip versus actually working on your nails. Recharge is a serene "experience" from start to finish where the focus is on YOU. In my opinion, it's the best $49 for a mani and pedi (excluding tip) you will spend.

Anyhoo, on to my most recent experience, which compelled me to finally write my review after almost 1 year (sorry, Daniel)...

When I left Recharge on Thursday, November 6th, I left semi-conscious with a silly grin on my face. I'm an insomniac; and have been for years. But, let me tell you, I was so relaxed from my experience that I was able to fall sleep without my Ambien that night--WHOOO HOOO! So, here was what led up to that milestone....

I had a 5:30 PM appointment for a mani and pedi that day. Before starting the pedi, I enjoyed their lavender tea for the first time. It was very soothing, so of course I had to buy a canister to take home with me.

Now, on to the pedicure. After the usual soaking my tooties in the warm rose petal water, trimming and filing of my nails, etc, I received a wonderful foot massage (the one that makes your toes tingle). My toes were then painted in my favorite Essie color: Wicked (Daniel says he keeps a stash just for me--my toes thanks you!) It came out perfect as usual--painted on all parts of the nail bed with no air bubbles. My pedi normally last for 2 weeks without chipping. If it weren't from my nails growing, I'm sure it would last much longer.

Next, came the mani. Let me tell you, this was by far the BEST MANI I've ever had. My entire nail bed was perfectly covered in Wicked (of course) with no streak or air bubble in sight. The mani lasted for.....drum roll please....9 WHOLE DAYS with absolutely NO CHIPS. Mind you, I'm Ms. Super Duper Clutso who's hard on my hands and who trips and falls in flip flops (no, seriously; I have bruises to prove it) .

Finally, came the BEST part, the complimentary shoulder massage. May kneaded out all the kinks and tension in my shoulder and shoulder blades. After 1-2 minutes, I can feel my eyes roll to the back of my head. Oh lordy, I thought to myself, I haven't felt this good in a while (this is even better than my Aroma Thai Massage at Suchada). After 7-8 minutes of pure bliss, I slowly wobbled myself to the dyers. While my nails were drying, I was now so relaxed that every couple of minutes, I had to keep my head from falling on the table (the last thing I needed was another bruise to add on to my collection).

Needless to say, I left Recharge at 7:15 PM with a Happy Ending (No, not that Happy Ending!)...

I got the "Active Foot Treatment" here, and what an absolute treat to be so pampered with a hot water bath, foot scrubbing, warm neck wrap with a soothing scent, foot wrap, shoulder massage -- I had to fight myself from falling asleep but I eventually gave in to a light nap after my toes were prettily painted deep pink.  Loved it!  They charged my card and emailed me my receipt - no fuss no muss!  :)

Truly this spa is as clean as you can get - it's marvelous to shut my cell off, enjoy the tranquility and be pampered by their superb technicians. I use their waxing, mani & pedi services - never disappointed and always depart Recharge Spa feeling perfectly pretty and cared for. Sure, you can get a mani pedi anywhere for far less money - but you won't get the cleanliness, the service, the attention and the 1st class quality that Daniel the Manager and his staff offer.

save your money!

They did a really bad job painting my nails. I left with uneven coats where some part of the nail was not painted and there was nail polish all over my skin. Miss my nails and get my skin? The lady who did my mani and pedi didn't bother cleaning it up even though I showed her the nail polish on my skin. She attempted to give me a shower rub after the mani/pedi but really she just *touched* my shoulders twice and then patted me away. Also, when I told her I had to put money in my meter she didn't offer to go for me.

The brow wax was nonexistent b/c the lady (a different one) didn't wax the little hairs. I think all she did was cut a bit of my brow hairs with scissors. I was hoping for an awesome brow wax from reading the reviews but Danny was nowhere to be seen. Boy was I disappointed.

I was the first appointment in the morning so it's not like they were busy. Not sure why my fiance and I got such terrible service.

My partner paid for me to have the head to toe treatment here. I was nervous and being "pampered" makes me kind of uncomfortable, but this place was amazing. A really mellow clean environment with people asking if you want anything to drink- I had tea.

The pedicure was great. I run all the time and my feet look like I've walked on coals my entire life. The girl working on my talons was sweet and somehow managed to make my feet look like feet and it didn't hurt. Let me say that the roses in the holy water was quite an experience..the tortured knarled toes came back out looking and feeling born again.

There was one other guy there. Most of the women in the salon seemed pretty cool too, not really the marina type crowd I was expecting.

For the facial I had a really nice man also named Philip. Again, I didnt know what to do but this guy knew how to make me feel comfortable and relax. The room was dark and with nice ambient music. He started with this steam treatment to open pores and then put on masks and did an amazing massage on my upper chest and arms.

All in all I was there 2 hours and left glowing and relaxed.

I'm definitely recommending this place and this was probably the best birthday present i've had!

This place was awesome!  The staff was great.  My review for this place is for  a massage.

Sorry, no mani pedi or bikini wax here.  The talons on my feet shouldn't be pedied or manied, because (thank god) I'm not going to subject the passerby to their sight... you can thank me ahead of time.

Anyway, I treat myself to a massage a couple of times a year.  Not an expert, but not a novice.  Jason, the message therapist, was by far the best one I've gone to in a while.

A few months ago I went to kabuki for a massage.  I would rate this place much better than my last experience.  The masseuse and even the look of the place were much better.

Fabulous place that really caters to your need. We came here to be pampered for our mani and pedi as my birthday celebration. I really loved the ambiance and how we were greeted with lavender tea. Due to the comfy chairs, extra pillows and my buzz from the mimosa at brunch, I unexpectedly fell into a nice nap.

My BFF noted that it was a nice change the staff didn't "talk crap" about you in their native language. They were very professional and attentive.

They definitely deserve the name because I felt like a new person walking out. Can't wait to visit again.

Been a regular for close to a year now! Of all the nail spas i've been too (including Yelp Favs like Polished Lounge, etc), Recharge is the best. My pedis last more than 3 weeks (i usually come back only because my nails have grown longer, otherwise the pedi can probably last well into week 4 or 5!). Some secret formula top-coat they use that means even manicures don't chip for a good 1-2 weeks (Despite all the crazy household chores i do).
If you think it's pricier than other salons...well, one trip to Recharge equals 2 trips to a lesser salon..so do the math. it's worth it :)

Danny!

He is definitely the face of Recharge and my gfs and I couldn't have been more taken with him - I was anyways!  Super attentive and was always there to meet our needs...We were there for mani/pedis and left feeling totally recharged.  We spent about 1.5 -2 hours just relaxing...talking like girls do while bathing our feet in rose petal waters...They had tea and fruits for us - and it came with a massage.  I would go back many more times...

Finally found a brilliant masseuse.
Checked this place out after reading reviews.
Had a massage with Steven. Lovely guy who first brought me green tea and sat with me to see what areas I wanted him to work on.
The room was very peaceful, perfect temperature and no background noises.
I had asked Steven to go extra hard on me and he got the pressure perfectly. Asked me a couple of times if it was okay but not too many that it would become annoying. (Nothing worse than someone asking if your okay every 5 min).
I did an 80min massage and it was perfect.
Big glass of water for me at the end (big bonus for that!) and I drifted out on a cloud!
Will be back again for sure!

We stumbled upon this spa sometime last year. I am usually VERY critical and am very picky about where I get a pedicure. In fact, I hardly go to the same place twice! However, I was blown away at the level of service & cleanliness that Daniel & the Staff provided!

I have since been back 4-5 times and the experience just keeps getting better. I tell ALL my friends about Recharge and would encourage anyone to go there!

This past Saturday I got the Hand & Foot Cream treatment and it was amazing (as always)! My 2 favorite things about the Mani/Pedi's.. are the stainless steel bowls (no chance of foot fungus like those disgusting whirlpool chairs) and the heated lotion!

My husband gets the 80 minute full body massage from Steve and says it's the best massage here in the states! He now refuses to go to Glen Ivy ...or anywhere else for that matter!

The only bad thing about Recharge... it is 362 miles away from my house AND it wasn't there when I used to live in the SF!
I would really like for Recharge to move to LA.. but I don't think that is happening anytime soon...
Other than that.. this is a WONDERFUL spa and I wish them all the luck in their future and their growth!
Happy 1 Year Anniversary!

So I just moved back to the city and needed to find a new waxer. Thank god for Yelp cause thats how  found re-charge and Danny!
This is a great place and Danny does a great job at waxing for all those boys out in SF who need a wax for all those little areas you cant reach yourself!
This place was fast, affordable, and clean.
