Well, at least Lounge 125 (the previous incarnation) had good DJ's. The newest version of this parking-structure "club" is big on attitude but short on style. I love Philly, but places like this are just depressing. It is as if an ugly bunch from Jersey shore decided to set up a club house in Old City. As a former bouncer at clubs in NYC and Vegas, I can read the fear in the bouncer's eyes-- they don't know what is going on and are praying that a fight doesn't break out (sorry but one fat bald man and a couple little-helper Jersey boys with attitude doesn't cut it.. looks like santa and his elves). But it's not their fault, the management is obviously out of their league. I suppose if the club can process enough coke dealers through their "VIP" line, they can stay open a few months-- but sooner or later, people will find a real club in Philly. I just hope the bouncers don't get hurt in the meantime. As for the rest: crowd 4/10; drinks 6/10; cover-- got in for $10 bucks, but for most it is $20. Smells like vomit (but maybe not all the time). On the good side, it is easy to make fun off. Overall impression: makes you appreciate cities like NYC, Miami, and LA.
Music: DJ ARun spun Hip Hop, Reggae, Dance mixes - 4 stars
Space: Trendy ambiance, 8-10 bottle service areas, large dance floor, fits 300, (for the guys, girls were strutting their stuff on top of the upper stages) if you don't do the bottle service, there's really no place to put your drink down or stand except against the wall - 2.5 stars
Bottle Service: $200-$400 kind of pricey (This isn't nyc) !!!Beware of the waitresses mixing your drinks, you may think they are providing you an A+ service because you are good looking but think again. I would recommend mixing yourself cause they make them strong to kill the bottle faster. They also make extra drinks when the bottle is almost empty to finish up the bottle. And they would clean up drinks that are still half full. So once the bottle is dry, you are force to get another bottle or give up the area for another group that gets poned by their bottle service scam... plus they automatically tack on a 20% tip and not give you the option to tip what you think they deserve. - 1 star
Bouncers: Rude, I know what was I expecting... I'm not going count this in my rating
Cover: $20 non-guest list $10 guest list before 12. Free if you know someone who knows someone...
Final word: All in all, it was a pretty hip club, good music, dance floor was spacious, the only thing was the bottle service made my experience not as enjoyable as I hoped. For the entire time I had the bottle service, I had to keep an eye on my bottles of overpriced liquor. This is what brought down my rating, it should actually be a 2.5 to be exact.
This place was amazing! Philly definitely needed a club like this. Awesome atmosphere, hot DJs, and hot girls.
