A couple of weeks ago a few friends and I discovered Rebounderz offered a 7:00pm cardio class Monday - Thursday. We had been seeking out fun new ways to spice up our traditional fitness routines and decided a cardio in a room full of trampolines would be the perfect match.
Upon arrival I was excited to discover the first fitness class is always free. After the first one classes run $10 per session or an unlimited monthly pass for $30, which is cheaper then my monthly gym membership! I signed the required liability waiver and was presented with a special pair of jumping shoes and a complimentary bottle of water. Score!
The class itself was more then I expected. Originally I had pictured just jumping around on a trampoline for an hour and calling it a day, but it was so much more. Each student was provided their own trampoline space and while there was some traditional jumping up and down, there was also squats, running, crunches and so much more. The class also incorporated a medicine ball and band for a very thorough work out.
At the end I had a total body work out that left my arm, back, legs and abs very sore the next day.
I highly recommend taking this class at least once. It's a fun way to get a great work out in without actually feeling like you're working out. I can't wait to go again.
I had to be the oldest person jumping. Kinda reminds me of going to the skating rink when I was a teenager--all the boys and girls together showing off their skills. Yep, there's lot of testosterone bouncing off the walls in that place.
It's pretty cool for a fun workout. They have lockers for your belongings but you need to bring a lock. A referee shows you how to fall correctly once you are suited up in your comfy shoes and helmet.
There is music which inspires me to jump, and of course, discovering silly and fun moves is the whole point. Apparently there are classes where you can learn new tricks, and seems like a great place for a kid party. Lots of fun!
wow. so i went here with my company as a fun night out. it's lots of fun. it is a warehouse with tons of trampolines! the floor is covered with trampolines and the walls have them too!!
the downside is that you have to wear helmets and funny shoes. they provide that for you. but the helmet makes you sweat like no other. if you wanna drop some pounds go to rebounderz.
it is a lot of fun, it's where skater boys and cheerleaders meet and show off their skills. I was trying to do some flips and felt pretty cool, but then these 13 year old girls started flipping with some crazy Olympic style moves and i got put in my place. it is a lot of fun and it totally wiped me out. also i am still sore from the experience and it is 3 days later.
check it out.. don't feel bad if you are the oldest person bouncing, that usually scares the kids away for 10 minutes and gives you some uninterrupted trampoline time.
this place is fun and will make you feel like you are at your friend's Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
