*SPOILER ALERT: Lame review coming through*
I'm not sure why I keep coming here...nothing is particularly exceptional but I feel comfortable here. I don't care about sports so the million flat screens are lost on me. I do care about beer but the beer list is just "meh". (I did get a $5 Sierra Nevada bomber today which was nice, but it was also one of the only decent beers available. Bah.) The food here is decent...I either go for the hot boneless wings (HUGE) or the stuffed burgers which are pretyty good.
Overall, this is a good place to grab a beer, watch a game, or play some darts, but it is not a place that I would consider as a favorite. Sorry Real Time...just keeping it real. -

I'm not sure why I continuously find myself here. I wouldn't say I come on a regular basis, but I've been a handful of times. I'm guessing it's primarily due to the location and convenience. Other than that, there's not much I find real outstanding.
Food - If overpriced bar grub is what you're looking for, that is what you will find at Real Time. Not only is it significantly overpriced, it's really not that great. It's fairly average. If onion rings, chips & salsa, or motz sticks is what you're craving, go for those. You really can't mess those up TOO much. The burgers and sammies are okay...nothing to get your knickers in a knot over. I have noticed they also serve prime rib. Seriously?! When did a sports bar transform into a Lawry's?! Whatevs...
Service - Atrocious. The servers all have 'tudes. Big ones. If you ask them for your water refilled, or a chicken sandwich without the bun ((gasp!!)) prepare to feel like you just asked them to filter the water or slaughter the chicken themselves. Well...that is if you can find your server. I often find they are scarce, which is odd when the dining area is rarely busy.
Atmosphere - It's a loud sports bar. For some reason, I find it louder than most, but maybe my ears are just more sensitive. Who knows. The only time I have encountered a crowd was during happy hour. When I use to work across the street, I found myself there having a beer after work once in a while with many of the other Hamilton Lakes 9 to 5ers. I will give them a star for having a massive amount of televisions. If you're looking to watch a specific game, chances are they have it on.
For a happy hour beer or to watch a game, it's a decent place to go. However, if you're looking for good food, good fun, and good service, then Real Time Sports is a real disappointment. -

It's a mixed bag. Beer specials are decent. However, the service and buffet are awful.
My coworkers and I just had lunch there today. We were seated by a manager and had the buffet and some soft drinks. We never had a waitress approach us and eventually ambushed one ourselves. Luckily, she was assigned to our table, but was simply too busy to do much beyond get us some fresh plates and offer refills. The offer was kind, but the iced tea refills took about ten minutes to arrive.
For a "pizza place", the buffet was mediocre at best. ONE thin crust cheese and ONE thin crust sausage pizza were available on the entire buffet. You can guess how long those lasted when they were brought out.
Fixings for beef or chicken "fajitas" were available with small, stale tortillas and a minimum of sides. The "salad" was just chopped lettuce. Nothing else. Dressing choices were not labeled, but appeared to be ranch and something orange.
Overall, it was disappointing. We will not be returning. There are much better choices available nearby. -

A decent place to watch a game and have a beer.
I've been here a few times and there are ups and downs to my experiences. The food here is average. The wings are double jointed wings, so they're big. Make sure you don't over order (which I think I've done every time). I tried the reuben last time, and I thought it was okay, but a bit light on the thousand island.
There are frequent drink specials, so I would definitely ask about those every time you go. There's also enough screens around to make sure you're watching the game you want.
The thing that's varied the most for me is the service. Sometimes slow and inattentive. Other times they're there the minute you need them. I think if you sit closer to the bar section you'll get slightly better/consistent service.
Overall... I'd come here to watch the game and grab a beer, but for food... maybe not. -

Real Time is The Real Deal
I only recently discovered Real Time several months ago after a new guy on my softball team recommended making it our regular post-game hang-out. It has been such a good experience that many members of the team, including myself, have gone on days when we don't have a game.
First of all, the food is excellent. Like many other reviewers have said, their buffalo wings are amazingly good and ridiculously big (one wing is like two). I also really like their slider sampler. But the best deal has to be the pizza. Like the wings, it's delicious and gigantic. In fact, one of their sizes of pizza nearly takes up the whole table.
The drink specials are great. We spent our Wednesday nights ordering mini pitchers of Miller products for $3.00 a pop - a terrific value! They also offer seasonal specials and smaller craft beers like Batch 19.
The place offers plenty of seating, but be sure to get there early on game day if you want to sit in the bar. The bar area is lined with at least 20 tv's, but it fills up quick. If you have a group, I would recommend calling in a reservation. There is a nice lounge area that includes a pool table. They also have a couple of dart boards, a Golden Tee machine, and a digital juke box, but for the life of me, I have never seen anyone use these things. The patio is spacious and inviting, and no one complains if you light up a cigar.
The best part of Real Time, however, has to be the people. My group and I have enjoyed interacting with everyone, from management to the server staff. The assistant manager even bought our group a round once. One night, some friends and me were sitting on the patio. The owners happened to be there entertaining some guests, and they had a lot of appetizers they didn't plan on eating. They graciously three plates filled with buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, barbecue ribs , and stuffed potato skins at no charge to my party. Now I'm not saying this is a regular occurrence, and we were certainly at the right place at the right time, but the owners could have just as easily thrown the food out or given it to their staff, but instead, they gave it to their patrons, which was a nice touch.
Give Real Time a try; I doubt you will be disappointed. -

Service here is terrible!
Walked in and the ladies at the front gave me attitude.
I ordered 4 sliders here one time and ate 2 of them. Went to the bathroom and came back and they cleared them out. The manager gave me a big fuss about it.
When I was at the bar, the bartender poured half my beer, walked away for like 5 minutes. Came back and poured the rest of my beer and poured a different one and than walked away again.
There was a terrible cover band that had their amplifiers on way too loud to make the whole experience worse. -
Review from Peter K.
I've been here a couple of times and had a burger and wings. The food is nice and they give you huge portions. The wings (if you order 6) are the same amount of food as 12-15 BWW wings because they are the FULL wing.
But mainly, this place goes down as one star because of the service. I've been there on several occasions where it's hard to get a drink or even to change a channel on a screen. One night, when the bulls were playing, I asked for one screen out of the 50 that were showing the Bulls game to be changed to another channel and it took me asking 3 different waiters / waitresses 15 times before they would even change it (this took about 30 minutes). Additionally, I asked several times for drink refills and the server would never come around to do it. Even after affirming that he would, he didn't come around. It's like we weren't important in to them as business. If I ever do go back, it will likely only be because friends want to be there. -

My friend was getting married at Belvedere Banquets next door, and the rehearsal dinner was here. it was an...interesting choice for a rehearsal dinner.
Let's start with the drinks--you have three options set up on a table: Miller Lite, Diet Coke and Water. Now I don't know if this was the choices of the restaurants' (a package maybe??) or the groom's parents, but it seemed limited in their options. For dinner, there were three things buffet-style to choose from: Chipsw/ artichoke dip, nachos w/ stuff on it, and pizza. The pizza was terrible. I couldn't even eat it, and I love pizza. It was quite the bummer since I was starving.
However, the bartender did know how to make a strong Girl Scout Cookie shot, and that made my night a little better! -

I came here with my husband and another couple for Thursday night drinks. They advertised $2 domestic and $3 imports....though Blue Moon is technically domestic, they charged me almost $4 because it was a draft beer! I didn't ask for a draft, they automatically gave it to me. Our waitress also didnt let us know the prices reflected bottled beer only!
I dont think our waitress smiled ONCE! She seemed to be in an extremely bad mood (i dont know why! There were a ton of people there = good money!). I ordered sweet potato fries with ranch, which were quite yummy!
This place has the potential to be a great sports bar! The drink deals seemed great...except they were misleading. The wait staff could be more friendly...it is JUST Elk Grove Village, there's no reason for the wait staff to be rude/snobby or in a bad mood!
Maybe we'll check it out on a different night and have better results!
ps...the patio was pretty cool though! -

Had dinner with a group of nine for dinner on a Thursday night. Once we all arrived and ordered, several tables that were seated after our order received their food before us. I understand that table of nine can take additional time to send at once, but two four tops had complete orders delivered before us.
Food portions were hit or miss. My Fried Egg BLT was full of crisp bacon and had a wonderfully prepared over-easy egg in the middle, while the jumbo burrito on the plate next to me was the same size as a salad wrap and was not any bigger than a local burrito joint. Also, three sandwiches all came with the same side of fries, but all three plates had a different serving size.
Overall, consistency appears to be hit or miss. The atmosphere is great for a weekend game (or playoff game during our visit). -

Great place to chill with friend to watch a game...
Food is generally OKAAAAAAYYY....but ONE item on the menu we are HUGE fans of: Their wings!!!
I hate going to places where the wings are teeny tiny and wimpy....this place definitely delivers in the wing department...FULL three-section wings, BIG, juicy, DELICIOUS! We are partial towards the garlic parmesan wings..
Wings are basically the only item we get at the restaurant....great place to go to satiate a crunchy wing craving :) yum -

The service was great and there is a ridiculous amount of Flat screens.. The Blackhawks game had everyone cheering and singing and the atmosphere was great but all good things come to an end.. the end is called their food.
Their blackened rib eye sandwich was disguising! (Greasy and not blackened at all). The fries were mediocre at best. Nachos were alright but nothing to brag about.
Overall its an awesome place to grab a beer w/ your friends and have a great time watching a game or two in a comfortable environment - I'd just eat somewhere else or wait till you're hammered so the taste doesn't actually matter. -

I was glad to find a good sports bar nearby where my family lives. We've been here quite a few times.
I know that this is not the cream of the crop for sports bars, but unless you want to drive 5 or 10 miles for only incrementally better service...
Real Time Sports will do just fine. -

Does your karaoke sound like cats having sex? It's all good. On Saturday nights, they'll just turn the music up to defend your dignity. Good place to watch some games in the suburbs. It's not as great as The Foundry in Naperville, but it's all good.
The potato skins kick all sorts of ass. They're not some half-assed skins, but they're half of a potato, horizontally, still thick with potato, crispy, and chock full of goodies. I even found a boot in there that I lost in an ice-fishing hole back in '92.Listed in: Needs the Reebs...

This is where you will find me watching a game and having a good meal. All around it's a fun place to go. I have been going here since they opened a couple years back. It's close to my work, so I have gone to lunch here several times as well as after work for drinks & the buffet.
The only negative about this place is that the food is a bit pricey. They have drink specials everyday which sometimes helps out with the bill at the end of the night. I definitely would suggest the Nachos here, they are amazing and piled high, you will need help eating them. They serve Suparossa Pizza's here, they are mouth watering good and so good with a beer! All the food served, whatever you get, is in large portions and may be why the prices are a bit high. The service seems to be better at a high table or booth. Sitting at the bar, the bartenders are not always on top of the drinks.
They also have outdoor seating in warmer weather. A new hotel & banquet hall next store may draw more patrons here on the weekend. However, I still can find a place here without waiting, it's pretty spacious. -
Review from Vlad A.
Its been about 5 years since I came here last, but was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in for lunch.
I went with the lunch buffet for $9.95 (soft drinks are extra).
The buffet featured two pizzas; well actually about 1/3 of a pizza and two slices of another. The guys in front of me grabbed the 1/3 and I asked if a new one is coming from the guy coming in and out of the kitchen. He did not say a word, but came out within about 20 sec with another pizza (sausage). I took one look and could tell that it was sitting around the back, as the cheese did not look like it just came out of the oven. I put a few slices on my plate and touched them: COLD. He actually saw me do it and just darted back in the kitchen.
The rest of the buffet featured chewy overcooked chicken, some sort of a thin steak type meat, pasta, veggies and potatoes. There is also a nice small fruit and salad table at the end of the buffet.
Service was mediocre, but the food was probably some of the worst I have ever eaten.
Somehow this place manages to stay in business and given the large size of the dining and bar area it must do some serious volume or is bleeding $. The place was about 90% empty @ lunchtime (12:30). Must be the after work crowd that comes in to drink and order a ton of appetizers. -
Review from Nick S.
I've only been here once to watch a game. I didn't care for the floor plan. For such a large place, we couldn't find a decent place to sit and it wasn't that busy.
I'll tell you what, there aren't a lot of good places to watch a game around in Elk Grove. If you have any better ideas, send me a note. I think the Stonewood Ale House is a better place to watch the game. They have plasmas all over the place. -

Hey, I wanna enjoy Sunday night, too!
When my friend& I went there on Sunday, they were really pushy, trying to close before 9PM although their hours for Sunday was until 11PM.
We could tell it was a slow night but there were a few people still at the bar. Really, nobody liked to be rushed out, especially while enjoying some drinks at night.
So, that was a bad experience.
I come here once in a while b/c some of my friends live around this area in Chicago suburbs.
Strawberry mojito they had tasted better than their regular mojito but they did not have it when I last went there (seasonal?) For cocktail, I do not think they put much alcohol... I so not taste/feel it.
Overall, just an OK place to come. I think this is one of the few sport bars around here. -

Don't waste your money, I've given this place more than enough chances and the last time i ate here my entree arrived 20 minutes later than everyone else and then after waiting, the fries were cold and the chicken was dry. Their buffet is also rather tasteless and bland unless you load up on their grease coated pizza which is pretty good if you don't mind pounding your chest as you indulge so your heart doesn't stop.
At any rate, the buffet is quicker than waiting for food service because the wait staff seldom remembers their customers and for some reason they can't be bothered to split tickets for more than two people.
I haven't stopped here for drinks only once as I'm not a bar person but it was like any other bar I've visited. -

I've come here 3 times, all for lunch buffet with co-works. It's a nice place with lots to mess around with. Big TVs, sports, pool, video games, etc. Food is decent, too. Some days, they have ribs, some days they have steak. The usual includes two types of pizza, wings, fried chicken, green bean casserole, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, salad, bread sticks, fruits, etc. I find the selection acceptable for a sports bar, and I can definitely eat til I'm full.
One thing I did find odd... I don't know if they have a specific rule or dress code for it, but all female servers seem to be C cup or larger? -

I am a sports fan, and I love this place.
It's my favorite place to watch college football and the food is quite tasty, especially the nachos and stuffed burgers. .
They make strong, spicy (but not TOO spicy) bloody marys too, which never fails to score points in my book.
The service here is decent; they respond well to random requests (like, for instance, to bring me bread with chili, or to "make us an orange shot" so we could celebrate after UIUC beat OSU last season).
Also, I don't know if they still do this, but they had a few promotional events where members of the Chicago Bears would come, hang out, and sign autographs. I met Alex Brown this way, and my sister met Peanut Tillman. Kickass!Listed in: Burb-age

I went here when it was a UFC event, It was silva vs vitor belfort. Obviously this place was packedd as shittttttttt ! I heard about this place through a friend...it is a real nice place but it was kind of hard to find. This place is pretty big and clean and has Tv's everywhere. I think I would have enjoyed it more on a night where it was so crowded, I plan on going back soon.

This place can be fun. I live within walking distance (or should I say stumbling distance) so I've been quite a few times. The staff is friendly and the booze is about average priced. I haven't ordered food so I can't speak to it. I know that when I had a friend in from out of town we had a blast at the bar. The bartender poured me a black and tan one night that was really terrible but she went back and fixed it (it took her a few tries but whatev). Tonight I went and they were out of Guinness but they have a few other good options on tap. It's worthwhile to hit it up. I see they have Trivia on Tuesday or Thursday nights so I might try to talk some people into meeting me there for that one of these nights.

If you enjoy sports games screeching out of three dozen televisions at once, and sports fans screaming their cheers every ten seconds, then you would love this place. I am not a sports fan at all, however.
The food was OK, but not worth the bill. The waitress was a bit on the incompetent side, and the wait time for our food to come out must have been half an hour... that one night I went, is the last. -

RTS is a good place to come & watch a game of any sort. They have a bunch of flat screens which surround the upper part of the bar so you can see at least 1 of them no matter where you're sitting, there's also 2 big projectors if your view is really obstructed. As far as the food, their pizza alone is reason to stop in, it's phenomenal! Their mozzarella sticks were very good too. I tried a burger & it was a disappointing, flavorless patty but the fries were decent. I've been here a handful of times & had fun, but the last 2 made me scratch my head at the DJ that was playing, she had to be at least 60 years old! Granted, she was playing up to date tracks & requests, but the first sight of her made me do the biggest double take ever.

HORRIBLE service! I've been meaning to write this for over a year, but always forget. I had my wedding at the Belvedere and was excited that we would be able to use this for after hours. The manger and staff were so unwelcoming it ruined what would have been a great time. At least 50 of my guests came over and they refused to open up the far end of the bar of us! They changed the closing time AFTER we got there. To top it off the "band" called my new husband and I to the stage and sang "F'ing her gently"! YES, on my wedding night in front of family and friends! Completely inappropriate and when we complained to the manager he just shrugged his shoulders! Do not go here!

Went here for lunch with group from work place was pretty empty. Big bar and eating area. I'm sure it fills up for games. Typical sports bar nothing to much to talk about. As for the food I had the Ty Cobb salad, not bad at all. Others had a salad, chicken, burger. No one was complaining. Service was decent prices about average. My experience was ok.

You know, it's a sports bar. There's not a whole lot of variety in these kind of joints. But, this place gets some love for having a less noisy outdoor area (with some TVs still).
I went during a Blackhawks game - which is basically a mind numbing experience. Everybody and their aunt's dentist's dog have become Blackhawks fans since the Olympics. So, of course, my perception is slightly skewed by that unpleasantness. I called it quits after an hour or so with this friend of mine.
Didn't get a chance to have any food - drinks were ok. I'd probably just get a beer next time around. -

It is an okay place to go. It is pretty good sized and wide open. It can get a bit loud and crazy at times (I'm not talking about music or entertainment or anything, I am talking about the amount of people and sometimes echoes) and even though it is pretty open, sit-down area with the booths provides enough refuge to get a breather if it gets to be a bit much.

I'm giving this 3 star SPORTS BAR 4 stars to make up for the 1 star review. Why would someone who doesn't like sports go to a place that has "SPORTS" in its name? Probably the same people who review STEAK houses by ordering a fish item and being disappointed.
So it's 3 stars for noisy ambience (during games), decent food, better than average Bloody Mary's, variable service, but good with special requests. A really FUN place to go if you want to cheer on your SPORTS team (not the ballet contest). -

Stay far away! I live a block away and I will never go back. Food is nothing great. Not to mention you have to wait forever to be served. I was seated by the host and waited literally 1/2 hour before anyone came to even serve us a drink. This happens everytime I go in there. Food is way to pricey for this dump. Ten bucks for a caesers salad plus add 4 bucks if you want chicken added. I gave them way to many chances and refuse to go back.

This is the worst establishment I have ever been to!!! Me and some friends decided to go here for the Hawks Stanley Cup Finals. I called ahead to reserve a table. They told me that they would not because people did not show up and they lost business. Now, fast forward to the Bears Packers NFC Championship game. Me and my wife show up 2 hours early. We found a table near the big screen with no chairs we asked the staff for some chairs and they grabbed the manager. He stated that he would leave it up to the crowd on who gets the chairs. We looked for seats and found to my disbelief that most of the tables were reserved. This was a complete 180 from the Hawks game a few months back. We still found a table with chairs away from the big screen. Just after the first quarter, there was a raffle for a jersey. They stated that the raffle would take place at half time. Half time passed and still no raffle. After the game we asked the waitress when the raffle would take place. She stated that it took place already. The manger then came to our table again. I told him we did not here the numbers raffled off. He stated that they were and that was it. I told him that we never heard it. He proceeded to tell me I had two seconds to calm down. I then became irate. I told this so called manager that I was not irate but upset at the whole experience. He did not care at all and said better luck next time. This would not fly at my place of work. And I would be severely reprimanded for such attitude. I hope they wise up and find a better replacement. A manager that will follow the rule that the customer is always right. I am usually a very calm person and would usually be very understanding. If I could give zero stars, I would.

So-I live in elk grove and live super close to this bar., it would be an ideal place to go on a regular basis to hang out and get food from. I have given this place a try at least half a dozen times and each time it is absolutely miserable. Which is really too bad..... Every time I've gone there to hang out at the bar to have a few drinks the bartenders are awful. Not only are they unattentive- not like ur giving them money or anything- but they are slow and rude. It's pretty ridiculous. Also the few times I've been there and stayed until later in the evening they do last call really early. I'm talking like 40 mins early sometimes. They also will start putting up chairs and stools and mopping floors. Then the bouncers will come up and ask you to finish your drink. But wait- I thought you were open until 2am and its only 1:05 right now.....yeah its very hospitable.
But I have given this place a handful of chances and it's always been bad bad bad. But what has really set me off was tonight. I tried to order a pizza for pick up- they are a suparossa pizza place too- I ordered a large pizza half sausage half mushroom and they wanted to charge me for two toppings. Now I'm not saying I can't afford two dollars but it's the point. Half and half equals ONE topping not two and every other pizza place charges that way. So after the phone guy said that's just how it is I asked to speak to a manager- chris. How much more u
helpful could someone get? Oh wait- meet the manager here. He tried to exsin how much extra labor went into the two toppings- really? Someone hAs to stick their hand in a second bin of toppings, that's rough. But not only was he speaking ridiculously but he didn't care. A corporate place should reallycare about their customers and probably lack there of, so after some additional rudeness I said I was going to order from rosatis- it's delicious- and he hung up on me. Wow now that's quality customer service in the Hospitality industry!!!!!
