I didn't eat here, but my friends and I came here Halloween night for drinks and people watching.
The beer was ok. People watching was definitely interesting!
The inside is a little cramped but it is a house. I like the back yard where they had a band. It was sort of a honky tonk, overall wearing, banjo playing band from the Appalachians. But they were energetic.
I enjoyed watching the drunks stumble down the stairs every time they went outside.
There is a hidden area in the back towards the left with a wooden panel covering where many guys were going. I'm pretty sure they were all urinating back there.
Seems like Ravenous gets very different reviews depending on when people went, so for context, I went on Sunday around 1pm in late November (not peak tourist season).
Despite the off-season, 85% of the tables were occupied, but I had no complaints at all about the service. In fact, our waitress (Mary Anne?) took the time to give us great recommendations for both our meal as well as some of her favorite local wineries.
The ambiance was quiet and cozy, and the food was killer. You will not regret the Ravenous Burger - get it medium rare with gruyère - amazing.
What a cute place! Came in with a friend the other night and sat at the bar. The wines by the glass selection was great! I loved the Mathis Grenache. I have always wanted to try that wine, and never see it by the glass. I got a cheese plate and my friend got a burger. The menu changes everyday, which I thought was neat. Can't wait to go back and try some other things. I will definitely be returning.
The desert menu looked amazing!!! The bartender was awesome!
So helpful and friendly, her name was MaryAnne. The back patio was beautiful! Can't wait to eat out there when it gets warm again.
Last night's dinner at Ravenous was one of the better dining experiences I've had in a long time! Four of us girls, all foodies, thoroughly loved everything from the appetizers we had: Corn cakes topped w/ smoked salmon & caviar, crab cakes & a wonderful salad, to the lamb that was perfectly done, the Devin sea food cappelini pasta, and the amazing desserts. We were wooing and ahing over every dish.
The place is simple but very pleasant and quite romantic. It was pretty full on a Sunday night, so I'm sure the place has earned it's reputation. The service was friendly and professional, and... we all said we can't wait to go back!
Yummmmm.....call me a "green leaning local" as someone described us, but I love this place! The owner makes fresh home-made bread or buys it from Down-Town bakery and for that reason in itself, I could sit and wait all evening for my entree...I usually get mixed greens and/or crab cakes to start- both delicate and delicious, and I adore the "chile relleno" a habanero pepper with black bean, hominy, cheese, etc. Its such a delicious plate I rarely venture to anything else, which is why I can't give it a full 5 stars- I need to try a few more things first. My boyfriend raves about the burger and the price is reasonable. I love going in the summer and eating in the garden. The outdoor bar is also fun.. Yes there is a "rustic" way about it which is completely intentional- I love that its not stuffy but caters to a sophisticated palate. And if you get a chance to get to dessert- its out of this world. Ravenous is one-of-a kind and I'm sorry that people's random mishaps with service details have detracted from a wonderful establishment....I would reccomend it to anyone and if you want less rustic surroundings with less "green leaning" folk, may I suggest Cyrus- leave the unpretentiousness for us~
To quote the waitress "sorry, but we usually aren't this busy and some unexpected things happened this afternoon..."
I'm currently at the restaurant as I'm writing this review. Perhaps I would have written this review an hour ago, oh, but wait, that's right, I ordered an hour ago. The service is pretty lame, I don't blame the waiters at all it's upper management. Our reservation was at 7:30 and by 8 pm when we finally ordered they were out of their key entrees! Really? On a Saturday night? Yes, really.
I will say the food is amazing!!! but the wait and service this particular evening was atrocious... I guess this is a hit or miss place.
The name pretty much sums it up - this place is sooo delicious. It is a house converted into a restaurant. I suggest you make reservations and request the back patio. They have tons of flowers and laterns that light it up...making it quite romantic I might add.
We had the crab cakes, which are great! The creme brulee was very dreamy as well. Their wine list is pretty diverse - remember to save a little for your server to taste!
This place is a must try!
We love Ravenous and make a point to go almost every time we visit Healdsburg. We love sitting outside for dinner with the lively bar, pretty little lights, and nice heaters (when needed). The service is always fantastic and friendly. Can't pass up the crab cakes and the caesar salad is light and tasty.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and overall I really love it. Holly, the main waitress, is an absolute sweetheart and somehow always manages to make us feel like we're the only customers and we are her favorite customers!
Crab cakes are simply the best. But everything else is super yummy too. It's a bit on the funky side, but I really like it!
Bambie likes the food and vibe here. I think that it's hideous.
It's a funky old house with bad plumbing and poor air conditioning that's been converted into a bistro / bar / music venue. It does not do any of those things well.
The entire interior is painted glossy tangerine. Yuck!
This is a locals hangout. The crowd is mostly 30's something singles & childless older couples. They're wine tasting room employees, restaurant workers, and various Sonoma county green leaning folks.
On live music nights, the action really gets going after 9:00pm. It can be busy until 2:00 am last call.
Not very glamorous spot . But everyone is sincere & friendly.
The by-the-glass wine list is good.
We had no less than 10 locals recommend this place. We got there at 2:00. It wasn't busy, but for some reason our server was too busy to wait on us. It took forever for her to come over and initially take our order. Then it took forever to get our ice tea. The soup took forever. However it was very good. She was never around to refill our tea or water or bread or see if we needed anything. Fortunately the bus boy showed up occasionally and we not shy to flag down other waiters. The lack of service really irritated us and made the experience disappointing. Once the food came, which was delivered by another waiter, she never came back to check on anything. We had the chicken sausage pasta and the chick pea dish. The food was really good. We enjoyed it but not sure we would recommend it based upon the poor service.
I've loved Ravenous since the days when it was squeezed into the lobby of the Raven theater. Moving into posh digs across the street from the theater erased some of the restaurant's original charm, but what it added was enough tables that you can actually get in without having to hang out on the curb for an hour, starving.
The menu is typical Wine Country. It is a short list, which changes regularly based on what is in at the farmers market and on the chef's whim.
In summer, there is a charming patio in the back with a bar and a couple of long, communal picnic tables. Here you'll find the locals shooting the breeze and noshing on smoked salmon, fava beans and local cheese.
I've always been a fan of Ravenous' soups. If you're staying in town, stop in for an order of soup to go. It is a very restorative dish.
Been here twice on visits and love the place. Great beers on tap, excellent wines, food was great, love the handwritten menu, nice lighting.
We brought friends with us on the second trip and dined outdoors. Great experience and can't wait to get back.
I has been a while since I'd been here. I used to come with a co-worker who liked their food, so it popped up in rotation more than it does now.
Came by today. They didn't have the Ahi or the Chickpea on the menu that I typically order, to decided to have the burger. Server was less than pleased with the fact that I didn't want an app. I didn't want wine and she was guessing I think, that I also didn't want dessert. (just because someone comes in an orders a simple meal for lunch with ice tea, doesn't make them a cheap tipper! HOWEVER treating them that way -- will make them less generous by a LONG shot)
Ordered my burger Med Rare, it was Med-well. *sigh* fine... I opted to just have greens on the side rather than fries, and you would have thought I'd asked the waitress to jog 10 miles in the rain to hand pick the greens. I wouldn't have even cared if there was an upcharge to it - just don't argue with me. I am the customer.
Sat and read my book and listened to a table of women, who also were less than pleased with their service.
If I thought before this place had fallen out of my rotation, it's now kicked to the curb.
We were up in the Russian River area this past weekend with a bunch of friends for the annual Barrel Tasting event. We have some friends that live in Healdsburg so Friday night we asked them about where we should go for dinner. He suggested Ravenous and made reservations for 6:30. We were staying in Guernville and running late so we thought that 6:30 might be tough so one of us called the restaurant again and asked if it was okay if we moved the reservation to 7:15.. no problem...
We had a little hard time finding the place at first. It seems like on Google there are two of them a block away from each other. In searching this women noticed what we were looking for and gave us the scoop.. The restaurant used to be on one street but then the couple got divorced and now its down the street... she talked really fast and all i remember was post office and get the burger..
Onto the review:
The place is super cute. It looks like a little house. The interior is very rustic. The one down side is there is like negative lighting. When it started to get dark outside it got super dark inside. I couldn't see my food anymore and reading the dessert menu was nearly impossible. I personally like to see what I'm eating.
The food:
Crab cakes: This were pretty good. Flaky and soft. Tasted amazing. It tasted good with/without the aioli it came with. It comes with two crab cakes and we ordered three orders for 9 of us. Everyone at least got half and some got more. It was prefect.
Braised Short Ribs: The best entree of the night. I tried a couple of other's but this one was by far the best. It just melted in your mouth. You could get a perfect bit with a piece or rib and some mash potatoes.. OMG, my mouth is starting to water thinking about it.
Sea bass: The water boy and waitress both recommended this dish. They said it was very good. I thought it was good.. Not as good as the short ribs, but good. It was kind of spicy though. My sister ordered this one and was super sweating while eating it.. haha.. I guess I had a little more light then everyone else b/c the candle light kept shooting off her glossy forehead.. haha
Seafood pasta: IT was really called capillini or something like that. This was okay too. The seafood was all cooked well and the sauce was tasty. The pasta is almost thinner then angel hair. It was very thin and wasn't good at soaking up the sauce. My bf ordered this one. He liked it but liked mine better!
I would prob. come back. I gotta try the burger!
The waitress that I had was very helpful and friendly. I had the crab cakes with an aioli that was very good. Then I had the flat iron steak with roasted onions, peppers and carrots. The wines by the glass was rather limited but the waitress was very helpful in allowing me to taste a few to get to one that I liked.
My favorite little place to go for Mojito's and crabcakes. In the summer, their backyard is a beautiful and relaxing place to hang out. Friendly service, to die for crabcakes. and the Mojito's.....well I love when they mash that mint...hahaha.
I have had dinner there, but it has been a while. Very small dining area, so you would say "cozy". Food was good.
The service was so slow that other patrons were making jokes about it. My main course was cold as a fish. The menu looks inventive, but nothing that we ordered tasted good.
Outback, behind the house, is an unassuming makeshift bar that serves up some of the best atmosphere in all of Healdsburg which makes it the perfect setting to chat with the ridiculously knowledgeable bartender about what glass of wine you should order.
After the fantastic wine flight we headed to dinner elsewhere and since I didn't have the food here I can't comment on the degree as to which we missed out...but I know we missed out.
So we came back after dinner for dessert! This was some of the best berry crisp I have ever had (and I've sampled a lot of crisp, crumbles, and cobblers) paired up with...will you believe...a really good cappuccino???
I'm going back for dinner and finding that fifth star!
In a nutshell, pretty but disappointing.
My friends and i were excited to have lunch here, before jetting off to the wineries. If these reviews are anything to go by, we had many reasons to be excited! Man, we were sorely let down.
The staff was extremely inattentive. It was like serving us was an afterthought. The poor, overworked busboy was even more polite! Without any explanation, warning, or apology, our order took 45 minutes to arrive. Granted, my crab cakes were delicious, but I would've felt much better getting any sort of acknowledgment for waiting so long. (or even just a smile)
We're not ones to dine-and-dash, but DAYMN.... we were seriously contemplating it, because it would've been AGES before they noticed we were gone.
The wait was so bad, the table of 6 ladies next to us simply left after getting a beer and a few glasses of wine.
In order to get simple things like ketchup (for my friend's burger & fries) or to pay our check, we resorted to walking directly to the bar. Clearly, they had abandoned us to age like wine in an oak barrel. Again, no apologies or smiles from either our hostess or the waitress. (Customer service, anyone?)
Maybe their usual, awesome wait staff all went on vacation for Labor Day. Can't blame them.
I'm hesitant to write this place off, so be forewarned that the food is okay to good and the service is spotty. Consult your horoscope and pray that you're going on a good night.
The hamburger here is a thing of beauty.
The restaurant is a converted house, and gets a little cramped when it is busy, which is frequently. But don't let that scare you away, the bar is fun, the staff casual yet professional, and the food is stellar.
Do it.
Food is terrific, however some tables are really uncomfortable to sit in. Unfortunately I was seated at the booth close to the left of the door when you are entering the restaurant, that's a pretty bad seat. I had to get up several times because I felt my back was hurting. The food was wonderful however.
Smoked salmon appetizers, crab cakes were delicious. The quail was also awesome. At first I was a little afraid of ordering the quail because quails are little poultry like animals with lots of bones! Plus they are small, I hate eating small bony things. To my surprise, the quail is almost completely de-boned and stuffed with a whole bunch of wonderful fragrant rice, herbs and other stuffings. People who don't eat certain types of meats might want to check on the stuffing and ask if they can hold some meats from being stuffed.
I got some beer, what was I thinking??? I am in Healdsburg!!! Get WINE with your meal, that's if you're not 'WINED OUT' from all the tastings in the afternoon.
An outstanding place to wrap up a day of wine-tasting.
We ate at Ravenous in mid-December when we were in Healdsburg for a weekend of wine tastings. With my husband, sister-in-law and a couple of cousins along, we were a group of five and felt like the center of attention seated at the big table in the center of the main dining room.
Not surprisingly, our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine list and offered some excellent selections to compliment our meal. When he learned we were celebrating the birthdays of several members of our party, he made the occasion extra special with candles in their dessert (but thankfully no embarrassing song and dance).
The food was creative and well-prepared. From my salmon, caviar and creme fraiche appetizer, through my veal and mint-sauce entree and onto a melt-in-your-mouth dessert, every last bite was incredible.
The daily handwritten menu and casual-elegant atmosphere make Ravenous a unique and smart choice if you're staying in or near Healdsburg.
My only complaint is that the tables near the door were subject to a constant cool breeze and we were pretty chilly at various points during dinner.
Wow, this place is waaaay overrated.
The food wasn't bad. But it wasn't worth the price we paid.
Crab cakes - this was awesome. if they are on the menu, get them, HIGHLY recommended, the saving grace of the evening.
Flat Iron steak - I ordered medium rare, it came served to me almost well done. The vegis and side were nothing memorable. I'm not a chef, nor a great cook, but I could have definitely made this dish myself. I had read from other yelpers that they ordered steak that was overcooked. I gave Ravenous the benefit of the doubt and believed that their steaks were a fluke. Unless you like well done steaks, this isn't the place for you... and if you do like well done steaks... why are you eating steak?
Chicken and potatoes - my girlfriend ordered this. The dish as a whole was bland. and the mash potatoes tasted like they were made from instant potatoe flakes. The next day we ate at Chili's and we remarked how much better the mashed potatoes at the chain was far superior to Ravenous... that's sad.
But the service was great. We didn't have a bad time. The food wasn't horrible. but price of the food definitely wasn't worth the taste.
I was on a tour of tony restaurants and this one stood out. Extraordinary salad, and they matched my holy-shit duck with a perfect zin. The waiter was smart and relaxing.
META:
I was a kid in Healdsburg back when it was a farmer town that closed at 6, now they got taxis and these restaurants that are better than all of LA. Holy cow. It used to be FFA.
My love of Ravenous continues. Having eaten there "over the years", we were so happy to be back Saturday night before the jazz festival.
The combination of personable service, reasonable prices (17 for 2 beautiful chops from a rack of lamb and mushroom/spinach/potato hash for mains, a beautiful cold tomato soup drizzled with olive oil, wonderful not over rich cheesecake, rasonable wine and through the side door to the theatre to see Kenny Barron and Charlie Haden. The rest of our party of 6 was just as happy with their dishes...and we asked them to be out by 7:30 and we were. Enough said.
Ravenous is great for atmosphere and romance, however, the food isn't so great, so I'd really recommend you go for cocktails and sit out back during the summer time. It's a beautiful spot, has a friendly staff and full bar, inside and out. It would be perfect if they would revamp their menu and put in some better dishes.
I so dig this place. I like that it is not right on the town square - makes it feel like a little bit of a secret place (although I have seen it crowded - not such a secret). I got to sit outside in the neat backyard area for lunch on my last visit to Healdsburg to meet up with a friend.
Their food is always inventive and delicious - although I expected a change to the items on the lunch menu since my last visit in January. With so much fresh local produce available, I thought that their menu would have a more season edge to it. (Not that it stopped me from ordering the BLT with avocado again!) The wine list has a nice variety of local and non-local wine - somehow, I keep order the French white - so tasty!
Definitely a great place to stop for lunch or dinner if you are in Healdsburg.
The food was great. The kitchen and place seemed like eating at your friend's house.
I would recommend this place to my favs in Healdsburg!!!
Well, here's the deal, we were a party of four and arrived right at opening last Sunday. We were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, and they said they could take us at the bar. Seemed weird as all and I mean all the tables were empty so far. No explanation or anything! We didn't want to make a scene, so we decided to go for it at the bar. Dinner did take awhile, but was definitely good. The burgers and Caesar salad were very tasty. The bartender Maria was totally attentive and friendly. The next couple of patrons came in without reservations also and were told they could sit at the bar too. So needless to say we were a bunch of us elbow to elbow at the bar eating dinner. By the time we left, only one party had been seated at a table. That means there was 7-8 open tables still! My problem with Ravenous is how their wait staff treats the customers. If the waitress had at the very least apologized about the seating and gave us some sort of explanation I would have felt better about staying. I myself can cook very well. I go to a restaurant for good food AND good service. If I only wanted good food I would stay home. Hopefully someone from Ravenous will read these yelp reviews and learn some lessons in customer service. Smiles, acknowledgment, eye contact, and attentiveness go a long way!
Ravenous is one of those places that seem to be past their prime. Or maybe I am just getting older and it is me getting past my prime. Either way, we just do not seem to click anymore.
While my girlfriend really liked this place years back, we have been trying it again in the last two years and have not been impressed with it too much. While the place feels young and funky at first, it appears more like a mid-30 rich single dating playground on second look. Not that that is wrong anyhow, it just crossed my mind, while I was looking around at the bar, waiting for the waitress trying to figure out where to seat us, after they had lost our Friday night 7pm dinner for six reservation somehow. The place is usually full and very loud inside, don't aim for a romantic conversation unless you are fluent in sign language. It's better outside and luckily we got a table there after a while. The food is good, so is the wine, but we have sometimes trouble with the very artsy handwritten menu. The service personnel seems right out of college and sometimes they are a little - hmm - confused. They forgot an order of beer despite three friendly reminders and brought us the bill before we even ordered. That is ultra-fast-food dining! It gets cold out in the patio and for some reason only two of the six or so gas heaters worked. It took some three people ten minutes to get them started. Funny enough, the exact same thing had happened last year and I wonder if they just never fixed those bloody heaters.
Anyway, it is a good and quite funky place to eat with a group of friends, and we were overall happy. All dishes seem to come with the same set of baked veggies which are tasty, but it seems the kitchen is too small to produce or maintain a larger variety of fresh produce. We will probably keep trying once every year, maybe it regains some of its momentum in the future.
I was so ravenous by the time I arrived at Ravenous that I could have been served raw potatoes and rotten cabbage and I would probably still have eaten it and thought it was passable as real food. But...I was also totally hammered at the time...so...that may say something...
And is it me, or is it totes awks ("totally awkward") for a restaurant to be named "Ravenous." Wouldn't "Satiated" or "Food Comatose" work better from an advertising/marketing point of view?
As I was on my merry way to Ravenous, a friend of a friend (the driver) who is local to Healdsburg warned me that Ravenous has gone downhill recently and certainly isn't as good as it once was. Well, it must have been really amazing before, because my meal there was impressive.
I should give some background information about the night's festivities at Ravenous. I was in town attending a friend's bachelorette party, and Ravenous was the restaurant pick. I guess we weren't good enough for Cyrus? But no matter, as the majority of us girls were hammered by the time dinner rolled around anyway.
The lovely hostess of our bachelorette party knew our waitress, so we had five-star service the entire night. Our drinks came immediately after we ordered them. Yay(!), considering that I was already starting to feel the sober kick in at that point. My gin and tonic was BIG (served in a tall glass) and strong. We also ordered champagne and red wine (although I avoided the latter like the plague since we spent all afternoon wine tasting). One of the girls' hubbies sent us a round of tequila gimlets, which I haven't been able to drink since college, and it sent me into a tizzy, so now I don't actually know whether my taste buds were fully operational when I ate dinner.
To start, I had the cheese plate. It was ok. You know how cheese goes. It's served with some kind of carb, and in this case, also green apple slices. Truly nothing out of the ballpark. And, I think I should have had the salad instead, because it looked so green and leafy and perky and happy. I love perky salads. So happy!
I had the lamb chops for my entree, and it was magical. Seriously, the chef (or soux chef?) prepared it to perfection. So tender and moist! But because Ravenous is a classy restaurant, they didn't serve a big portion of my beloved lamb...or even a normal portion...just a disappointing tease of a small portion. You know how it goes at these kinds of restaurants...So I had to supplement my meal with the grilled fennel, which came as a bulb cut into 2 halves. I thought it might have been purely for decoration at first (you know, what they call "garnish"?), but I think I was so hungry, I thought, "F it, I'm gonna show this root vegetable who's boss!" To my surprise, the texture was amazing, and the flavor was rich! Who knew fennel had flavor?? I thought it was just the flavorless bastard child resulting from the regretful one-night union between an onion and a wayward celery stalk. But this grilled fennel sidedish concoction made me consider whether I could duplicate it on my non-existent George Foreman grill. (Obviously, I don't own a GF grill. I've always considered myself too classy for such a infomercialized contraption. But now I'm calculating the culinary percent yield. Financial input : Culinary Output. Also, is a coincidence that GF stands for George Foreman AND grilled fennel? I think not).
But anyway. I digress. I can't compare Ravenous now to what Ravenous was before, but it's pretty damn good now, so I highly recommend that you eat there now. Like, NOW.
I put $$$, but I think it's anywhere from a $$ to $$$$. That narrows it down, doesn't it? It really depends on what and how much you order.
OK how cute is this place? it's like your in someone's house & you kinda are made to feel that way by the staff as well. until we were told we were being too loud & to keep it down, then we were reminded we were in a restaurant. I think they put it "we've had several complaints about you"....NO NO not me personally , though those of you that know me may not believe that.
The cappilini with an array of seafood is off the hook! a decent wine list & my gosh the price is right. I cant believe 15 of us at & drank & drank & DRANK for as inexpensive as the bill came out to be.
I was not terribly pleased, I thought the food was overpriced, and I was definitely still hungry after we left. Additionally, when my partner tried to order a drink, the waitress told him flat-out that she thought his I.D. was fake when it wasn't, and took it inside for 10 minutes and asked other wait staff if they knew who he was and if they knew if he was lying. It was very unprofessional, and it really killed the experience. Also, since we were outside, there were bugs on the table and around the food.
I was very ravenous upon arriving here.
The crab cakes were delicious, and the cheese plate was awesome.
I loved my Wild Salmon. It was perhaps the best cooked fish I've eaten. I usually don't like fish, but it was very fresh and flavorful. The quality of food here is excellent.
Great place for a casual lunch in between wine-tasting stops. Cute and unassuming decor; a little smaller than I expected but didn't feel too crowded inside. They were very accomodating when I called to say we'd be late because our wine tour lasted longer than expected. I would recommend making reservations because it was packed during lunch.
I was specifically looking for a restaurant that wasn't too fancy since I was going to Cyrus that evening. Service was on the slow side since it was prime lunch time, but all the servers were very pleasant. Nice variety on the menu, all very good, from the fish cake salad to the pasta to the BLT w/ avocado. Large portions; prime location in downtown Healdsburg.
Amazing service, great food (could use a bigger menu) and the best cocktails in town.
During the summer, almost every Saturday they have great live music and the back patio opens up. Great atmosphere.
3.5 stars really. Brunch was SUPER crowded this morning but that's expected for a joint that only sits 20 at full capacity. Smoked salmon omelet with hollandaise sauce was excelled. The cornmeal pancakes looked great from across the table. French pressed coffee was strong and very smooth; not bitter at all! Having the waitress look us in the eye once in awhile would have given them a 4th star.
This is not a place for anyone who wouldn't appreciate tangerine walls. Though I, perhaps, would call them mango, just for the exotic flavor, which is what it's all about. When they are lit by candles, at night, there is no more romantic a space. I have been going here for years and have never had other than an excellent meal. Outdoors is great on a nice afternoon with a glass of rose to accompany your meal. The inside has one large table (plus several small tables) that I've always wanted to eat at with a group. A perfect dinner party spot. One tiny complaint -- the gorgeous handwritten menus are so elaborately scripted I find them hard to read. But, that could be that I refuse to wear bifocals.
YUM! Loved the food and loved the bright colored interior! We went here for our first dinner out, on a recommendation from the owner of our inn. We were more than happy to not waste our money on over-priced, overrated small portions and were not disappointed. We were able to get last minute reservations and were sat after sitting for a quick drink at the bar.
The menu (although somewhat indecipherable) changes almost nightly, but some staples stay and we opted to split a salad and order the smoked salmon with cornmeal cakes app as an entree for me while my husband ordered the roasted pepper stuffed with hominy, corn, etc. and beans, rice and more (sorry can't remember). My salmon, creme fraiche and caviar was great and the cakes were "okay" - but I think they fell short only because my husbands had SO MUCH flavor. I ended up just loving his dish more.
Service was great, wine was wonderful and overall a great experience. If we stayed longer - we would have dined there more than once.
