If you like good, cheap mexican food, come here!
I've had their
- steak rancho bravo.
- beans and rice bowls
- tomale's
- fish, steak, and chicken tacos.
I've never picked a bad menu item.
I'm generally picky about my steak and chicken...even though it's cheap, it's tasty and not fatty here. Yum.
Most people get their food to go here. However, there is a tent and seating area for those who want to. There's almost always a spot open for anyone to join. -

Finally found what I was looking for:
A Seattle based Mexican burrito bomb de pollo meant to bring a campaign of Shock and Awe to my digestive system.
The chicken mole burrito hits the spot , but can I get that thing wrapped up tight? I literally had chicken coo dripping down my forearm before I was three bites in. The burrito came with good ingredients it just needed some TLC in regards to everything being tucked in tight.
The seating area is downright nasty. Power wash that thing already! I imagine a star bump will be in the cards should I visit again and the al pastor delivers like the chicken mole did. -

Rancho Bravo,
Thank you for being there late at night, mid-day snacks, or just because. You are the next best thing, aside from ya know Mexican food in Mexico. I agree with your salsas, tamales, and nachos. My favorite out of your dishes is tacos al pastor, the flavors hit my taste buds in all the right ways. The taco stand on 45th is fun, quaint, and welcoming. I will one day order all in Spanish, but until then... I'll just keep practicing by returning loyally.
All the Best,
Ms. DinnerTable -

We tried both the rancho and the bravo burritos, and while they were good, they weren't anything amazing. Food was generously portioned and prepared reasonably quickly for the amount of business they had.
Seating is provided under a tent and parking is ambiguous.
I might consider going back if I lived next door, but I would not go out of my way. -
Review from JoAnna L.
Awesome! Came by for dinner, plenty of parking in the lot, easy to find (down a block from Dick's). Just make sure to go to the middle window to order, haha. The staff is fast and glad they listen to special orders, like no onions, extra cilantro. I ordered a lengua taco, a chicken tamale and a small horchata...total was right about $5! Glad I found this place. Totally authentic and delicious.

The basic tacos are good but nothing special, and the price isnt great for what it is. A little too long of wait keeps me from going more often even though I live close

Horchata. Or, in season, Mexican hot chocolate. If you come here and don't get one of these, you're doing it wrong.
Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tamales, tortes. All are pretty good with lots of options for meats. Overall a pretty average taco truck but there's plenty of seating, quick friendly service and they (usually) take credit cards. The extended hours are a plus. -

This place is great!! I usually order the Rancho chicken burrito. They give u options for pinto or black beans too. Good location right on 45th so if you want to grab something to go before u hop on the I-5 it's right there. Quick service and open late on the weekends for all us hungry party animals. Oh, and they take cards. Love it!

Pretty good.
I had a carne asada torta for $4. It was soft and tasty, however, I would've liked just a little bit more flavor.
I also had a taco de lengua and the lengua was on point! Mm, but I didn't like the tortilla.
Very fresh food, very good service, but it doesn't move me. If i'm in the area and craving mexican, i'll come here, but otherwise, I will stick to the taco trucks in South Seattle.
Cheap food too.
Oh, but I didn't like their salsas. They had 3 different ones but they were lacking salt.
Overall, I like this place! + they take card! -
Review from Shawna N.
This is a good little Mexican food stand, where you can get a lot for a little. Of course, the costs are kept low since the food is served out of a food van, and seating is underneath a tent, but hey, it's part of the atmosphere. I've had good luck with all things steak on their menu, of softness and flavor, and the seasoning. If you're looking for an alternative from Dick's down the road, at the same cost, come here.

While making a new list of my favorite street food places I quickly realized I have NEVER reviewed my fav taco truck, Rancho Bravo!! Simply put, they are BOMB! Best tamales I have ever had, and I've had a lot... I can't not order a tamale when I see one on the menu somewhere. Sad part, they are often all out :( sniff sniff. The little chicken tacos with the corn tortillas and cilantro and lime, ah man. Simple and tasty just they way I like it. Lots of sauces to chose from, the green is my fav. Sweet servers too.

The Rancho Bravo restaurant in Capitol Hill is one of my favorites at give star. The truck isn't quite as good, so just four stars. We took it to go, which always makes the tacos a little soggy. Overall, though, still one of the best median places in seattle.

We decided to come here after the club one night as some friends raved about it.
We ordered a bravo burrito and honestly, I thought it was just okay.
Nothing bad with the food, but really nothing special. If I'm in the area and craving mexican, I might stop by, but I won't be making it a point to just come here.
On the upside, late @ night, there's plenty of parking, there's a tent in case it rains, $5 for a burrito, and service is quick.
But...I just wasn't all that blown away by the food. Flavor wise, I found it a bit lacking and bland. -

Being from LA , I have been to many taco stands and trucks. After moving from Austin, TX where tacos there were very mediocre and leaning towards Tex Mex, I was surprised that I could still have decent Mexican Food outside of LA. So after having a bad food experience at El Camion, I decided to find and try another spot. I did some research here on Yelp and found this place. I got to say the food here was very good, we ordered a couple of burritos and tacos, they were nice and hot, their lengua (beef tongue) was nice and tender. I will be going back, finally a good spot with good Mexican grub.

I approached the window closest to the menu and I was rudely informed that I was at the wrong window by the staff.
When I had a question about the contents of their burritos the staff was unable to answer my question since English is not their first language.
My food sucked! The burrito was very light and after opening up the burrito I found minimal amount of Carne Asada.
The truck was very dirty inside and there was lots of trash outside of their dumpster.
I will not be going back here again. -

I grew up in LA and went to college so I think I know a few things about Mexican food and Taquerias. I was highly disappointed with the mexican food selection in Seattle as I thought they only places were joints like Azteca/Azul/etc, but I was ecstatic to find a taqueria type joint. If this place were in LA, it would probalby deserve a 3.5 stars or so, but since it'll all the way up in the North West, I'll give it a 4. Burritos are generously sized and they add cheese, which most taquerias down south don't put on. The tacos are bigger than your average taqueria taco hence the $2 price tag.
Don't be fooled by the green sauce, it's got some kick! -

Yum!
I've driven by this a million times and never knew it was Rancho Bravo - I've been to and love the one on Cap Hill and this is just as tasty. Cheap good food. Perfect after a few too many drinks. I will be back.
Warning: you will smell like food... so bring a change of clothes if you are going out after! -

There are things that have to happen before you can call yourself a Seattleite and eating tacos from Rancho Bravo after a night of too many tequilas is one of them. Eating the carne asada tacos makes the hangover not so bad in the morning. Definitely, the best taco truck in Seattle. (^_^)

This is the best Mexican food I've found since moving to the NW. There can sometimes be a long wait, but in my opinion, it's worth it. I like that they have a tented seating area, too, though often at lunchtime, it can be hard to find an empty seat.

So delicious.
Their food tastes fresh, there's just the right amount of cilantro, and the staff are very friendly.
Grab your food and friends and find some trees in the shady suburbs nearby for a perfectly juicy, messy, totally satisfying meal. The carne asada is one of my favorites. Yum! -

Like they need another good review - I just have to say this is my go to after: a rough day at work; a solid workout; a long night out; a football game; a baseball game; a good laugh; a bad encounter; a good cry; a rainy day; a sunny day and I bet I'll even go on snow days. Juanna is awesome!!! And the food is always so delicious, I've officially given up Chipotle which now tastes bland in comparison.

This is the kind of place that makes you wish later that you'd gone across the street for a burger instead.
The fish tacos were plain and unappetizing. They serve grilled fish only (battered is so much better, IMO). I only finished two because I was starving. They look great, with grilled onions and red cabbage. Unfortunately, I mistook the cabbage for pickled onions, because everyone knows you need some acid to balance your fish taco, so was sorely disappointed. While I'm a fan of grilled onions, they just didn't go with the taco.
There was a lightish green sauce on the tables, which I assumed was some kind of spicy avocado sauce. Great for the fish taco, right? Meh. Creamy, but just spicy. Again, no acid, no flavor other than spice. If I wanted that, I would've put the red sauce on 'em.
Struggled to give this place two stars, but decided it was fair since I did finish two and my appetite was satiated. But if I get food poisoning from that damn light green sauce (like another reviewer), I'll be back to give them one lousy star.
My only guess for why this place earns a 4 star average rating is the college kid element, where anything compared to campus food seems delicious. -

Nothing really blew me away at this taco stand. I had two carne asada and a fish taco. I would give the steak 3 stars and the fish 1 star. In the end I docked a star for having the garbage right next to where you eat and for making me wait 5 minutes to order when there was no one else in line. And I docked two stars for just ok tacos and bad sauces and salsa.
Maybe it was an off day- it looked like they have all the stuff to make a great taco. -
Review from Jenny K.
Solid 4 stars. Got the steak torta. I thought it could've had more meat in it, but otherwise it was excellent. Even their green sauce was spicy, which I really appreciated! And the red sauce will set your mouth on fire in the best way. Cards are accepted - whoo hoo - and food is prepped fast. There's a tent with tables so you can eat there too.

Review from Teresa M.
I wish my tacos came with CHEESE! big variety of meats to put on tacos. They also serve quesadillas, burritos too. Good veggie options- veggies include squashes, radishes, etc.... not just peppers. This is super cheap and we didn't wait more than 3 minutes.
Get the horchata, it's DELISH!!! Other perks include 4 types of salsa in funny pitchers, including a super cilantro one, a mild red salsa, and 2 others. -

Get rid of your notion of a scary taco truck that is gonna make your insides regret eating there later.
THIS PLACE IS MUFUGGIN AWESOME! and the lady at the front is soooooooo nice.
I'd literally had everything on the menu and it's all good. I like the Rancho Burrito with park carnitas or two chicken tacos.
It's cheap too. They are quick and always nice. There can be a line at times and you do have to wait outside but I do not care.
Soo good. -

Greasy, salty, yummy Mexican food sold out of a taco truck (actually it's a taco-trailer, but let's not get too technical). Don't expect great customer service or even a roof over your head. Do expect Mexican food as good as you can find in Texas but here in rainy Seattle. I love hiding under their rain canopy while waiting for my food. Their salsas are unlabeled and delicious. I usually get a veggie-burrito or torta. I've had a veggie quesadilla and it was also good. My wife is addicted to the al-pastor pork. This is real Americanized-Mexican food as certified by myself (I was raised by a Mexican-Mama in Texas).

Food: Small vegetarian quesadilla
Drink: Regular horchata
YUM!!! The vegetarian mix they used was so fresh! And the horchata, mmmm! It was the perfect complement to the habanero-hot salsa I had piled onto my hearty quesadilla. My only regret is that I ordered the quesadilla as small, instead of a large. I'm pretty sure I could have eaten 5 large quesadillas in one sitting with how scrumptious they were. Oh, and apparently Rancho Bravo is open till 2am? I may pass up on Dick's the next time I'm in the Wallingford area for some late night munchies. -

"Best mexican food in the area."
Considering we have Qdoba, Chipotle and many more mexican restaurants within a 5 min driving distance, it's amazing to me that I'd much rather go to the taco truck next to dicks for my mexican food craving.
Where to start?
First, the meats are amazing. The carnitas in particular. While the chicken is good, I can't help but go with carnitas when it's always available and much tastier..
I personally love the quesadilla with carnitas. Chipotle doesn't even compare and while qdoba makes a good quesadilla, I'd still pick Rancho Bravo over it.
The burritos are hearty as well as flavorful. The beans and rice are fantastic and gets me coming back when I am having a craving. The women who are operating the truck are also very friendly and are always pleasant. While the wait times generally aren't pretty bad, I tend to avoid coming here if the line is more then 6-7 people long.
It doesn't help that I drive by the taco stand every day, but they are beginning to get more and more popular. If you like mexican food and are in the University District/Wallingford area, try it out. Or rather, next time you're at Dick's, just check out Racho, I doubt you'd regret it. -

Most authentic mexican food in town and a great deal price wise too. Its a food truck, the food is tasty every time, and the service is efficient.

Okay, so it's no secret that I've been seeking out good tacos ever since I moved up here from San Diego last year. I'd tried a few and been mildly impressed with a couple of the established places around town but always felt like the tacos I'd had just missed the mark in one way or another.
After much disappointment, I'd really just resigned myself to the fact that if I was looking for good, authentic, Mexican-style tacos, I was just going to have to wait until my next visit down to SD to get my fill.
That is until... a friend of mine persuaded to try this place during a late night food run.
Holy frijoles. We have lift-off! FINALLY!!! The tacos that I've been searching for all along!! These guys are the real deal. Truly, the real *authentic* street-taco experience. Not only is the food fantastic, but the price is right too! The carne asada and carnitas are my personal recommendations. Two or three of these tacos and you'll be good to go.
Don't be fooled by the outward appearance of this nondescript trailer in a parking lot. There's a reason why you'll usually see a line leading up to the ordering window. Best tacos in town my friends. Via con dios mis amigos. -

I've been here a number of times over the years and loved the food. As others have pointed out, they seem to now have some employees who have no business being a customer-facing role, even at a McD's.
Tonight, I bought a burrito from LUIZA (or so my receipt said). I handed her a twenty, and asked for a $5 bill as part of my change. I asked the cashier, "Could I please have two fives instead of a ten"?
"No"
I ask: "You really can't just give me two five dollar bills instead of the ten?"
"No".
So I ask: "I really just ordered the burrito because I needed the $5 in change. Could I change my order to something that costs less than $5?"
"No, you can't. You already made your order."
Another customer came by and asked her where a particular road is...which happens to be a block away from the truck. She had no idea...thankfully for him, all the other customers just pointed their finger where he needed to go.
Decent food, but I won't spend money to be treated rudely, no matter where. -

I was a little sad that you were sold out of Tamales but it's one of those things that happens with food that requires a lot of prep work.
The tacos were a fair consolation prize - although while the carnitas were melt-your-mouth tender, just the way I would expect from delicious pork-fatty-goodness - I expected more seasoning.
I realize you probably wonder how I gave this 4 stars as it sounds like all i'm doing is complaining.
Well - it's a taco truck. I expect cheap, filling, flavorful - I don't expect home runs every time I go.
Tonights redemption came in the way of the carne asada taco, which, was delicious. both salsas were great - the red one was still tingling my mouth a couple blocks later. It's authentic mexican street fare - minus the guy with rooster sitting next to you drinking a beer in public. -

Delicious tacos al pastor and ckn mole tacos. The sauces were also lovely and added a nice kick to the tacos. Super cheap & filling makes this a great spot for a late night snack!
