Great location by the beach and close to everything. I took away one star for the front desk service upon arrival. I pre-paid on expedia so the room was paid for in advance. Upon arrival, I just asked if there was a room available with a view of the water, we'd like to have it, but if not it was cool. The girl immediately thought I was asking her to hook us up w/ a ocean-view suite or something? I just asked if there was a room w/ a cool view. Also a note-front desk isn't open 24 hours should anyone need them.
Anywho-free parking, close to boardwalk, pier, shops and downtown. Clean, updated rooms & bathrooms. Rooms were a bit pricier than what it was worth, but was a friday night and i knew I was paying for location (near the beach). I'd stay here again.
I just stayed here with some friends on a Monday night.
I didn't choose the place and the place was FULL as it is the "in-season."
Your normal room. 2 queen size beds, etc.
I have stayed in better, comfier places, but if you are just using the room as a pit stop, it's okay.
It is a bit pricey, but you can walk everywhere.
Now, the view of the ocean and boardwalk from our room was pretty great.

Dirty and gross. We left at 3am so that we could just get out of there. Do not get the jacuzzi suite. Even grosser. I must say that looking around the santa cruz beach area, all the inns/motels/hotels look like trash. It's possible that this place is on the nicer side of ass. Also, it's way over priced for what a dump it is.
