Before going to take my daughter to see a movie, we had some time to kill. I wanted to make sure we ate first, because movie theater food is just expensive and totally unhealthy.

We got there around 4ish, right before the busy Friday dinner rush.  So we were served right away, which is always nice.  Considering we were pressed for time before our movie was going to start, it was great to see our food out in 15 minutes.  My boyfriend and I both ordered burgers... where you can't go wrong there.  And my daughter got some mac n' cheese.  She devoured more than half of it!  This being a serving that should fill up an 8 year old, over half filled up my little 2 year old.

And with just 5 minutes to spare before our movie, we had our bill, boxed our leftovers and were out.  Great service when you get there before the rush.

I come here regularly on Wednesday nights at 10pm for the Trivia nights. $1 buy in per person. Good drinks and an AWESOME happy hour menu. The service is good, everyone is very friendly. Not the best place to come if you are trying to enjoy a quiet meal at an upperclass steakhouse. In comparison to Applebee's The RAM has a better menu, better bar and obviously the micro brews! It is a little noisy regardless of where you sit, but nonetheless a great place to grab a beer, and get some great food! & Trivia night is a MUST with a big group of people. Get there early as the bar fills up quick and you might be grabbing a booth in the dining area..

I was with friends and had a blast.   This is a micro brew chain that produces their own beer onsite.    We sat at the bar and tried their sampler.   We tried 9 beers (6 regular flavors and 3 seasonal).

Decent beer, great atmosphere, and good appetizers.

    Enjoy!

The service was good. The food was awesome. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger. It was sooooo good. It came with both Canadian bacon an hickory smoked bacon along with some tasty BBQ sauce. This is definitely a contender for best burger of my life.

OOPS! The place was awesome the food was great and we got a check in deal of a free ice cream cupcake. I had the salmon blt which was great, actually it was the best thing ever. Gabe had the porter and I had the Hefeweizen the service was great even though we a large party took over the bar on a Saturday I think it was.

Beer and burgers...tough to mess that combo up.

Went here for a birthday lunch with my family.  We had a 1 year old and they were very helptful getting her settled.  Plenty of seating so there was no wait.

I like most of their food, but the new addition Fabege burger is my new favorite!  Their sweet potatoe fries are pretty good too.

Their beer is decent.  Probably some better breweries out there, but not too many.  My favorite of theirs is probably the Buttface Amber.  If you don't fancy beer, they have a full bar to make anything your heart liver desires.

Service was good my last visit.  She did forget my sweet potatoe fry substitute, but brought a side order right out at no charge ;)

I'm a big fan of the one at University Village. This one in Kent is kind of garbage. First of all if you go on Friday or Saturday the wait is at least 30-45 minutes, which is fine for great food but great food this is NOT. Each time I have gone here the service has been sub par--drinks not filled up, orders wrong, food sloppily thrown on a plate. It seems they are consistently understaffed. I would skip this place unless you are looking for an annoying experience.

Burgers are way good, I prefer to get them with the Ram Chips rather than fries.

Raspberry Lemonade comes in a 32oz glass and is free refills.  Great drink with lunch on a warm day.

I have had many of the different burgers they have and honestly have never had a bad one.

Great sports bar type scene, huge TVs in a few places and smaller ones throughout.

The Ram has been inconsistent to me.
Their beers are good, way better than some of the other restaurant breweries in the area, and their food is OK.

I guess where The Ram really shines is during happy hour. A dollar off their beers and half price appetizers just means you can't go wrong, especially if you pair this up with a sporting event and watch it on their huge TV.

The bar gets full during big games, I was just there last Tuesday when the Lakers played the Mavs and the Canucks were on just after and there was a LOT of people there.

I will say, the beer cheese dip is really good. I was happy to see that it due to eating that in every bar I've ever been to in the Midwest.

Service is virtually nonexistent and rude when taking orders and dropping off food and plates. Food is decent enough for bar food. But don't be fooled, just because the service sucks and the food is nothing to write home about, the atmosphere is fun and the beer is really good. You can bet I'll be back for trivia nights. Just because I rate it two stars doesn't mean I don't like the place.

Trivia night on Wednesdays usually pack the house so get there early or make reservations.

Wednesday night trivia servers are fast and friendly and prompt. This is the best trivia on Wednesday nights I have been to. The trivia starts about 10pm with a $1 buy in. The drink specials are $2.99 32oz big horn beers, the beer can't bee beat. They just got new lcd's everywhere in the store so the trivia can be seen from anywhere in the store.

Okay atmosphere and the beer was cold, but the portions of the food we had were tiny.   I get the HH thing and the everything is cheaper, but the food looked sad on the plates.  Surrounded by vast white space.

Maybe next time we just stick to the beer.

    HORRIBLE service.

I was completely disappointed during this trip, as I've been here before and quite enjoyed myself.  This time, this place was completely understaffed for happy hour, and there were all of maybe two servers.  The manager had to come out and help because they were running so behind.

They forgot our orders, nothing came out together, and it took FOREVER just for a glass of water.  How long does it take to make some nachos??  Throw some "fresh" veggies and cheese on a handful of tortilla chips, and bam, you're done!  And I understand you're busy, but if we have a question or try to flag you down....try not to give us attitude.

I'm usually a fan of the Ram, but maybe I'll just avoid this location.

I really don't understand the low rating for this place.....I was completely blown away by the quality of the food & the beer.  We originally came down to Kent Station looking for a Pizza joint that turned out to be out of business.....we spotted a bunch of people dining at this restaurant, so we gave it a shot....I'm glad we did!

After browsing the huge menu, I asked the server what the signature dishes were.....I had my eye on the Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburger.  He suggested either that or the Ram's Grand Rueben 501, which he described as a recipe that took the owner 501 attempts before he created this sandwich.....well, I had to try it.  I ordered the Rueben and my friend Tyson ordered the Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburger with the agreement that we would cut off a slice for us to share because we wanted to try them both.  For sides I ordered Sweet Potato Fries & Tyson ordered Criss-Cut Fries.

For drinks, we ordered huge 24 oz servings of the Big Red IPA.....and believe me, it was a huge mug!  We sat outside on the patio and the weather was perfect, the IPA hit the spot....I highly recommend giving it a try.

Our food came out pretty fast, which was a pleasant surprise.  We sliced up sample portions for us to share and dug right into it.  I tried the sample of Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburger first.....it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!.....the Peanut Butter was melted between the Cheese and Burger patty....it gives the dish a nice texture and flavor to go with the Bacon, Cheese and Toppings.....the proportion of Peanut Butter didn't overwhelm the Burger, which was perfect.

Then I attacked the Rueben......the Sauerkraut was proportioned to the rest of the sandwich just right....some places put too much and it ruins the flavor, not here.  The Rye Bread was fresh and it went well together.....I'm glad the owner failed 500 times because he got it right on this one!

The Sweet Potato Fries were good, not great....nothing to write home about.

Our sever was very cool, knowledgeable and did a great job recommending food & beer to help us have a great experience.

After lunch, we went inside to the bar to hang out and have a few more beers while watching the end of the World Cup Final.  I had a '71 Pale Ale and Tyson went for a Total Disorder Porter.....both beers were very good.  The crowd in the bar went nuts as Spain scored the goal against the Netherlands.....great atmosphere!  It must be fun to watch Football games here on Sundays.

I'm glad that Pizza joint closed and we were able to discover a different kind of restaurant.  From what they said, it's still family owned and operated even though it looks like a large chain like Gordon Biersch....I wish we had one of these in Vegas.

    Will I return?  You bet!

I've eaten at the Kent Station, Ram three times. The first two times the service was horrible. The third time I was served moldy food. I ordered sliders and when I went to put condiments on the buns I found that all four buns had fuzzy green mold on the bottoms. MOLDY FOOD! I couldn't believe it. The manager apologized but there really is no excuse for moldy food. He couldn't comp our meal because we ordered liquor. For the record, their house brewed beer was pretty good but I'll never go back. How can you trust a restaurant that serves moldy food?

I like their burger selection here. Portions are pretty decent in size. Customer service may be a hit or miss though. Went with a group of gym friends the other night. Waitress put in an order for a totally different burger for one of the other guys in our group. When it was brought to her attention, she just apologized and didnt offer to switch it or to comp it. But, later came out with an "I'm sorry" sundae as a complimentary dish. Conveniently located in Downtown Kent so I'm sure I'll more than likely be coming back here.

I was VERY unhappy with breakfast. But I must accept partial responsibility. I was the one that went to a burger joint FOR BREAKFAST!

FSA pre cooked nastiness. Hard a$$ scrambled eggs with canned crab! YUCK. I don't know if the cheese was real. LiL Miss had the breakfast burrito and said it tasted like cardboard. LiL Mr ordered french toast breakfast with a side of bacon. THE BACON LOOKED LIKE CRUMBLED UP BROWN TISSUE PAPER and was cold.

The 2nd star is for my mimosa, I needed a damn drink after being served crap!

    Never again for breakfast, NEVER.

My wife and I tried the Ram for breakfast this morning because we've enjoyed eating dinner there. I do not recommend the Ram for breakfast. After being seated we ordered coffee which tasted like they hadn't cleaned the coffee machine in a while. Then.... we waited.... Finally we got water served. We ordered an omelet and French toast. We finally got our breakfast and both dishes were cold. We're guessing the chatty disappearing server left them in the serving window for a while. My wife asked for warmer French toast so they brought another cold order of French toast. I think we will go back but not for breakfast.

The food and the beer here is always fantastic. The seasonal brews in particular are extra tasty.  They have varieties for everyone.  I prefer a wheat beer, while my fiancee likes the hoppier IPAs and we both look for the Ram when we want to go out for a night.

I have never had anything less than phenomenal service.  This place is always busy (which I guess could be a drawback when we have to wait), but I never feel rushed by the servers.

I suppose clint w. is right here, there is a bit of white space on the plates, but how much does he need to eat?  Even with the white space, there is plenty to eat.  I get a beer and a burger and I still take half the burger home.  My fiancee gets the same thing and he finishes his plate but he has never left hungry.

If you are in the area, or even if you are not, I recommend coming to the Ram for some tasty food and beer!

Holy Hockey Fans, Batman! Apparently *all* Thunderbird fans come to eat here before the games at ShoWare Center down the road. We thought 2 hours before gametime would be more than enough to eat. No, no. We had to wait 45 minutes for our table, to which several individuals with jerseys were clinging to as if for dear life.

Once we finally got seated, the service was pretty bad. Our waitor was busy, granted, but didn't have an extra word to spare other than the standard 'What can I get you?' He only brought waters when we asked for them, and didn't really check back with us to see if we needed anything.

The food was alright. I ordered the BBQ park sliders with sweet potato fries. They were a $0.49 extra charge, but I figured it would be so worth it. I bet you're wondering if they were, indeed, worth it. Well, I wish I could tell you, but they brought be regular fries instead. Ack! What a let-down. The sliders were OK, but the sauce was waaayyy too sweet. I could only stomach 2 of the 3. (The triangular plate looked so confused!)

For $20, I expected friendlier service, less wait time, and better food.

    ...meh....

First time was a few days ago...Server was nice enough..tried to convince us we needed some shots at 7pm on a wednesday..food was average, beer was disgusting. I'm not a huge beer connoisseur, but I tried two and both of them were not palatable. In fact, the one that I ordered sat on the table until I left because I refused to drink it. The man tried to convince me that you can't waste beer no matter how bad it is, but when he tried to drink mine he put it right back too. ew.

Wasn't awful, but I probably won't go back.

You know what you need after a long, HOT week of work?

An ice cold beer. Can I get an amen?

I suggested the Ram to my friends because I am a HUGE fan of their Hef and the gigantic TV which of course, was playing the Mariners.

The service was great even though we didn't order any entrees, just a few appetizers and some beers. Our waitress also didn't bat an eye when we asked for her to split the check three-ways.

I'd recommend ordering the sampler which showcases the 6 beers the brewery brews and then ordering your favorite out of the 6. The sampler is only $3.99 and a pint during HH is only $2.99. As you can tell, you can get boozey real quick for a reasonable price.

    Two thumbs up.

I've had better visits to this location and other Ram locations.

Despite it being busy tonight at the Ram, we did get a table pretty soon with only 10 minutes to wait.  Had we chosen to dine outside, it would have been a longer wait.

Gripes: our kids didn't get their complementary apples and caramel dip until almost the time meals arrived at the table; my beverage order (and the subsequent second glass) were delayed significantly behind the rest of my table; my spouse was brought an "upgraded" specialty beverage instead of the routine beverage she'd ordered; my chicken order was overly cooked and the fries were a bit soggy and cool.

Neutral: I like beer a lot but the sampler I had didn't impress me too much.  There didn't seem to be a good beer to pair with anything as all of the beers had very distinctive flavors and nuances that overwhelmed the taste buds.  Probably good for sipping and noshing on finger foods, but unfortunately, there wasn't a stand out for me.

Good: reasonably priced and food orders arrived in a fair amount of time.  Parking is free and a lot of it is available.  The location has a lot of other stuff to see and do, but it does seem to be geared towards the pre-teen female set and their moms.

Bottom line: if this was a new spot, I'd likely have given 3 stars, but I am giving them a break since my other visits have been better.  They usually do a great job of setting the bar high and unfortunately, when they slip it really becomes obvious.

It's probably been a year or so since I visited The Ram at Kent Station, and for good reason.  Back in high school I visited the Tacoma location with a good friend of mine and had (if I can recall correctly) an open-faced steak and gorgonzola sandwich.  It happened to be my first experience with said cheese - but not my last.  I remember it being really good, so when I was in town again visiting another friend and had heard about a closer location in Kent, we decided to swing by.

We felt really rushed by our waitress and my friend, who had been there a few days earlier, received a sort of "back again already?" sneer, distracting us from the menu where I was trying to find the aforementioned sandwich I remember enjoying.  The waitress brought us our water and we kindly let her know we needed another minute to decide, but on her return trip (quite shortly thereafter) she asked if we had "finally decided what to order".

I had found a steak sandwich, but my friend was still deciding and visibly flustered by the rush to get our orders in (and it wasn't exactly a busy afternoon, -1).

As it turns out, they were in a rush to prepare our food as well - the steak on my sandwich was very undercooked.  Now, I understand many folks like a rare slab of meat, but when the centers of the 1/4-inch strips of steak are cold and bright red, you've got a problem.

If you're looking to try out The Ram, I'd recommend visiting the one on the waterfront in Tacoma for a much better experience and atmosphere.

I wouldn't go here for a nice night out with friends - it's strictly a lunch or happy hour place for us.  They have a great HH - $3 pints and a bunch of good small plates you can easily make a meal of.

Their beer is pretty mediocre - I'd probably rank it higher if it was in the midwest or something, but being in Seattle the beer is just held to a much higher standard.  I usually end up drinking their amber.

The normal menu is also just kind of "meh."  It's probably my preferred place to eat in Kent Station, but that's not saying too much.

A word of warning - their beer will give you a wicked hangover if you have more than a few pints!

I gotta say my waitress was pretty friendly considering we sat around not ordering anyting for a good 45 mins because we were waiting for people and then we ended up staying for almost 2 hours talking. I also knocked my drink across the whole table (pop not beer) and she didnt gripe at all about cleaning it up.

As for the food. Put chicken and a sandwich together...not difficult but chicken was moist and tasty. Although I felt like they skimped on the fries on everyones plate. I mean seriously would it be that difficult to put a few extra fries on the plate? I guess I'm just used to Red robins and a crap load of fries all over the place..

As for the beer; I cant say too much cause all I've ever had there was the blond which seemed decent enough.

This ram doesnt quite compare to the U-Village one but again this is kent and is quite a bit more family oriented. Overall, friendly people and good place to hang out.

I just got back from the RAM and my two star review reports, "meh- I've ecperienced better". So true.

The waitress was extremely accomodating and helpful. She was quick to take our drink/food order and everything came pretty quickly to the table. The home brewed root beer was excellent (and caffeine free!).

HOWEVER - the food was SO bland. I ordered a garlic something burger with a side of broccoli. The burger itself was really bland.. there was garlic in it but the onions had no flavor and the beef patty was way too greasy. It was actually so bland that I pulled the burger apart and found that it had some brown wilted lettuce in there with the soppy (supposedly caramelized) onions and garlic. Nothing about the burger was good at all and instead of finishing it I let it sit and collect in a pool of grease on the plate. It's overall taste was of vegetable oil.. gross.

The side of broccoli wasn't even that great.. it was cool perfectly but the broccoli wasn't very fresh looking.

All in all the service was great but the food (which should be the most important part) was totally lacking.

I have no reason to go back. Unless I just want a glass of root beer?

I'm fan because of the location and burgers. The beer is alright, but nothing to write home about, Never had a bad experience there!

Maybe it was a bad day?

A few of us dropped by on the 4th of July after a softball tournament for some eats.

Not by choice, but by desperation. Nothing seemed open.

The waitress and hostesses were awesome. Loved them!

    The food. Bleh.

Everything is extremely salty, flavor-less and overpriced. Understandably this place is a chain, but there needs to be some QC.

The calamari was a rip, and the burgers didn't taste like it had real meat.

My friend ordered a steak and that was ok, but for the price you can get better elsewhere.

Another friend ordered teriyaki chicken, and I thought he was a bit nutz, but it is, what it is. Looked like it was frozen processed chicken.

I ordered the Reuben and that was overcooked and a salt block.

On a bright note, the crab an artichoke dip was decent, but again for $11.00, it was overpriced.

I'd definitely pass on this place!

If it wasn't for the spectacular waitress I'd give this establishment a negative.

So waitress 4 stars. restaurant I stick my tongue at.

    3.5 for Happy Hour

I've been to the one down at the Tacoma waterfront a million times, but it was my first time going to the one at Kent Station.

We went for happy hour and I got a pint of blondie and the spicy fish sandwich. Though the sandwich wasn't spicy, it was delicious! And it came with Ram chips, which I dipped in lots of ketchup. They were a good pairing with the sandwich, better than fries would have been.

The bar was a decent size and it was pretty crowded. The atmosphere was very chill and loud enough to make you feel like the place was alive, but not loud enough where you had to yell the entire time.

I saw some other Happy Hour food items that I'd love to go back for soon, namely the lettuce wraps and buffalo wings. What great prices for food and drink!

Okay place, not bad not great. Depending on what's ging on that night, it's petty easy to get a quick seat. The service is recommendable.  If you like sports and beer, then this I the place to go when your near.

I think I'm being generous with my stars on this one since the food was fair, but it was such a hot day and the waitress was really good at refiling my water and my friends tea. Yeah, I'm nice like that.

Service was speedy during lunch hour today, but the food wasn't as hot as it should have been. I'm not going to complain about that since I recently had gum surgery and it probably wasn't such a good idea to be eating a burger and fries...

Anyway, the burger had fried onions on it, but not the good crispy kind. They must be trying to use up everything that could be considered scraps because these were like the papery skins that really are not quite edible even after they've been battered and fried. The patty was obviously a frozen one, but I had a meat craving, so it still hit the spot. And the burger burps were delicious hours afterward.

Fries were tasty, but were nearly cold. Like I said, my gums were happier for it. My friend got the special that came with half a sandwich and a salad. Pretty decent price at $8, but she too said it was almost cold.

Decent enough when you're hungry. If I go again I might try one of their beers. The porter sounded really good.
