10 reviews for Rally's
I LOVE RALLYS!
They're BBQ/Bacon is delish and their fries are 2nd best to In-N-Out. I just wish there were more in San Diego because, well, some people north of the 8 would like a taste of Rallys as well.
My friend used to work here back in high school and told me his co-workers used to pee in the milkshake mixer thingie & they used to rub the hamburger buns on their pubic area. Ehhh...but if you can get past that (LOL) then it's really really yummy. I mean REALLY YUMMY =)
the four stars is in comparison to other fast food, favorite is IN-N-OUT hands down. First time trying Rally's. Service was great. Wings were great. Seasoned fries are REAL seasoned fries, not like JBX's. Burger was pretty good too. If I lived closer, it'd be my fast food joint regularly, where else can you get great wings and seasoned fries in a drive-thru? cheap too.
Just hearing the name gets me hungry... damn... They always got some kind of 2Fer special goin on... 2 for $5 chicken melt or some crazy ass double burger wit bacon and A1 sauce... gees.... WTH!!! And their fries... don't let me get started!! If you've ever had rallys before then you know what I'm talkin about..... but if you haven't, that gives you more reason to get off your lazy ass and get some.... They've also got a great dollar menu for those who ain't big ballin.... Trust me I feel yah... Just sittin in the drive thru smellin' them fries bein cooked just makes you wanna forget about ordering anything else........ I wish there were more Rallys, but this one will have to do... Located in your local ghetto
Good food but I mainly come here for the awesome fries. I like to order the $.99 spicy chicken sandwich, cheap and good. Sometimes I add the Fully Loaded Fries, melted cheese poured on top of their delicious fries with ranch and bacon, artery clogging good. Be prepared, all there food is really greasy. But its worth it once in awhile. Also there is only outside seating and for some reason its always windy.
This was the spot to grab a bite late night and show off your ride. Sometimes you'll see a meet of lowriders, Rice rockets, or muscle cars. Or like Eddie W's Review, hookers or bums. What do you expect its la presa.
I love the fries so much that I'll buy food at Jack in the box or McDonald's then pass by Rallys just for a small fry.
So I must have looked like a total retard the other day. I was so eager to get my chocolate milkshake after I got out of work that I completely sped past the "talk-into box" and skidded up to the window requesting a shake, only to realize that her look of confusion was the fact that my order was not on her screen and my excitement in my voice was a bit strange.
I am a fan of the two drive-up lines. One on the passenger side and one of the drivers side ( depending which side of the building you selected to look at ). But if you're a dork like me and pull up to the passenger window and forget that 95 Corolla's don't have power windows, you're stuck doing the uncomfortable stretch across the seat and risk breaking your body in half trying to roll down the window manually before your emergency break gouges out a kidney.
I recommend locking the door though because the people sitting at the outside tables look rather scandalous and make you feel uneasy at times; luckily, the service is fast, and the chocolate shake taste puts you into a happy coma despite the rush of adrenaline from creepy patrons lurking outside.
I had no idea Rally Burger still existed. Growing up in Sacramento we only had one Rally (on the corner of Manzanita and Madison). The burgers and wonderful, seasoned skin-on french fries are truly a slice of my childhood.
The Rally is Sacramento has been closed now for over a decade, and I had no idea it was a chain. I assumed Rally was dead and gone - that is until my sister moved to Spring Valley and took me by the drive-thru on the way to her house from the airport.
MMMMMM...Vacation, beers, sister and Rally fries....recipe for a very good time!
YES! Fries are legendary, the menu items are just compliments to the fries. Open late (1-2am) and has two drive-thru lanes. Perfect for after the beach, take time to sit there and eat. Always tastes better when you do that.
This place is a trip. One night there was a hooker begging for some change at the payphone, one night there's a group of homeless guys begging for food, one night there's nobody, and last night there was a hundred people or so with a bunch of lowriders having a meet. But the burgers are good for the price and the fries can't be beat. Just pull in for a bit and watch the show.
There aren't many places you can go to where just the French Fries alone warrant a 5-star rating.
Rally's is an exception.
This place can get real weird late saturday nights, but they have wonderful fries and nothing gets between a girl and her cravings.
