Uhm the manager lacks the most basic customer service skills, I walked in after having paid them over two hundred dollars on Friday for a storage unit and then Monday I spoke to the manager who was completely rude and had no idea what I was talking about

Horrible customer service, extremely rude women with a lot of attitude & low intelligence. Whoever does the hiring definitely is bias towards a certain demographic & gender, not an equal opportunity employer. They raise their prices often but haven't upgraded their outdated kiosk & website. The manager woman who works in Eureka is horrid & should never work interacting with the public. She always seems pissed and annoyed at doing her job even when paying rent by rolling eyes, being unnecessarily rude & pretending like she doesn't understand with snide remarks... psychotic!

I tried to email a change of address for them to send my deposit on a storage unit I had rented and no longer needed in McKinleyville, and was having difficulties sending the email. I then reserved another storage unit at the Arcata location. The next day I called about what information I needed to email. The following day, after noticing my email didn't go through, I called the company about my issue emailing them. They made a mistake of canceling my new unit that I had rented in Arcata. I received two refunds for the deposits at both locations. When I called about their mistake they said that I told them I didn't need the new unit that I had just rented. When I asked to speak to the manager, who was the person that made the mistake, they told me they already knew my problem and talking to her wouldn't go well for me. They were extremely rude and when I still suggest that she call me back they said "we will no longer rent to you because of all of the problems you are causing for us" and hung up.

The manager is rude and costing the business customers. The longer they keep her they will continue to lose customer. Use Uhaul storage

July 19,2023. Got a call from the office on Monday stating they needed to do work on the building and needed my key to unlock my unit. I inquired as to when this work was to being done, Office Mgr (Kim) stated this week, so said I would try and get a key over in the next few days given I am a HCP working the local Hospital M-F. Next day got a call from another office person stating they wanted the key today...when calling back to confirm access to my unit and who will be watching my stuff, etc while it is open.. the MGR (Kim) got nasty stating they would either just cut my lock or I could just move my stuff out of the unit. I guess the Office knows nothing about customer service, nor how to plan projects being there was no official notification this work was being done, or confirmation of who is securing my belongings while work is done. A lot can be said about a business that employs a so called office manager that thinks bullying customers with threats is acceptable.

I hate writing reviews but had to on this place DO NOT rent from this place. I've rented from this place for five years an at the last few days of clearing my storage unit out. There was a dresser that was left outside my storage unit they called me told me to remove it which I did. Next day locked out my unit and charged a 50$ fee I called back I was upset I said I moved dresser like you said what's going on. Kim who is the boss says " maintenance took dresser in the facility closet took it back out before you came back and put it back out". She also tryed to say after I got upset and terminated me after i called her out because she tryed to add that I can pick up the "dresser" after she gave me you one day to get all my stuff out. Now I said what dresser are you dam talking about we moved it! I swear Kim and Becky are the worst employees on top of that bitter racists. Mad because they thought they were gunna hit the jackpot with my unit ! Bunch of idiots !

I have rented a unit from rainbow since 2018. I recently moved and needed to remove my furniture from the unit to bring to the new house here's where it gets funny It took me two hours to move . I get a email a week later saying they have locked me out of my unit and to call them hmmmm. So I call to find out what the problem is and the very rude lady says I spent to much time at the unit lol seriously? Horrible customer service how about a polite phone call instead of a threat of you can't have your stuff till you answer my questions

Update we contacted the storage unit to talk to them a few weeks ago about our lawsuit and got nothing but threats and attitude from the owner Kim.
We have proof of everything including pictures.
This guy Ron apparently don't know what people are doing behind his back stealing $700 from me and then not letting me in my unit. That is theft and I'm suing for way more than that due to what was in my unit hat I do have pictures of including a video of Kim and her threats and us talking about the deal with our attorney which gave us a week to get our stuff out of our to big units. Then after we cleaned our one unit out the next days we were told that we would not have access to our other unit and that we were locked out. I requested half of our money back since we paid for both units and she refused to give it back to me.
Ron, you want to play games bring it our group is going to bring your corrupt business down. We are done dealing with thieves and liars. Maybe you should fix things fast and pay the people you screwed over and admit when you are wrong. If you look most everybody has somewhat of the some story so sorry apparently something is going on. We do not have master keys to any locks, nor do we steal customer property. We abide by all laws and are not operating illegally. We also do not bargain with attorneys to lower prices for customers.

This place is a damn joke.We had a BIG issue with the lady that worked in the office she was making inappropriate comments to me and I shot her down she apparently got pissed off at me and talked crap to the owner Kim and they both started harassing us for months. We paid on time every month for several yrs.
The original price kim gave us was over 1500 idk what for we called an attorney to figure out what was up. The attorney got it down to 700 which we paid we had to big unit in 2 different locations, we were given one day to clean out 2 big ass units. It took all day just to clean out one of them. Since our biggest was trashed after they cut our lock. After contacting the attorney again we got permission to get into our other unit at the other location but when it came down to getting into the unit they made excuse after excuse and never let us into the unit. We lost everything even after we paid to get into the unit..... She ripped us off, lied and stole from us and every broke the law. Dont rent anything from this place but if you just beware and keep an eye on your stuff they have master keys for all locks and you will never know they were in there.

I spoke with a lady about not being able to pay my storage due to the covid 15 (I want to say her name was kim but if it wasn't it was the front desk manager) and I was a day late and asked if I could wave my late fee (mind due I've never once made a late payment) and she was insensitive to my situation saying "well rainbow has already donated money to charities if you need money get a job"! Once this is over I will clear my unit out and spread the word on how they treat people during a pandemic. Do not support this business!

April 2021. Storage options are slim, and the first callback I got was from these folks. Very convenient platform dolly and freight elevator in the mini storage garage. Despite 1-at-a-time customer entry and plexiglass in office, staff are not mask compliant; YMMV and not a deal breaker because it's a seller's market for storage space. Good experience overall with secure location. Room for improvement: Port a potty needs hand sanitizer and TP - is theft of sanitizer or TP a concern inside a gated perimeter?
