How come all the rain tree cafes have russian waitresses?

This is the cleanest rain tree by far.  The service is fast and the food seems less greasy.  Probably because it is such a new location and no one is in there.  The pancakes seamed fluffier... I don't know I could have been imagining it because I was so hung over and on my way to work.

Delicious!
Oh but, PS: Don't get the OJ, it taste like it came from a powder, sick!

Rain tree is pretty terrible - quaint but terrible.  I always get roped in to eating here by co-workers.  The lack of freshness is as apparent as the underarm smell of the wait-staff.  It is good that the place has outdoor seating, but the outdoor seating is inferior to outdoor seating at all of the other restaurants.  I wouldnt call the place dirty, but I wouldnt call it clean either.  The food is not downright inedible, but I would rather spend my $11 somewhere else for lunch.

I hope it goes under and something better can come in.  It is seemingly out of place in yuppy Strawberry Shopping center.

If you must eat here, I hear the burgers are good.

This lovely cafe is in the renovated Strawberry Village. It used to be tucked away in a dark corner of the shopping center, but now, with the renovation, the street has been opened up and the cafe is no longer dark and dingy. It's prime location on restaurant row, hopefully will bring in new clients. I know the old ones, like myself still frequent it. They have a huge array of food options and is open all day, not closing after lunch crunch, which is great since I take a late lunch at work. They serve breakfast all day, along with crepes, hot or cold sandwiches, salads, great burgers and awesome french fries. And the prices are reasonable for Mill Valley. They use fresh ingredients as well. There is a special of the day board, with fresh fish and soup du jour. It is a charming place with outdoor seating to people watch too. I have not had a bad meal here yet, the service is quick and friendly.
