I hadn't been to Ragg Mopp in a few years, but most recent visit revealed that after 12 years of being in Silverlake, they still have the goods.
Cool ass jewelry, candles and clothes you won't see some other chick wearing when you show up at party.
A little expensive. Nice selection. Possibility for negotiating. overall..I liked it. Would go back to browse.
I liked this shop but I dont really believe in spending a super ton of money on thrift items. I got a hat for $20 which is totally okay for LA prices but a friend of mine picked up a top that was about $100-that my friend is ludacris.
Other than that it does have some dope jewelry and random dresses to choose from.
One thing I notice about Los Angeles is that you can often find good bargains by shopping in less "trendy" or obvious areas. I notice that most vintage shops in Los Angeles tend to be on Melrose or La Brea or in that vicinity. Ragg Mopp is at Sunset Junction in Silverlake and is well worth the drive. While I've never had any direct dealings with the owners, the sales woman has always been incredibly friendly and helpful to me. The only downside is that there doesn't seem to be any air conditioning in the store and when you have a big shopping impulse in mid-July, that can be a problem. There is also no parking so walking up a hillside with many shopping bags....kind of rough when already in mid-heat stroke over the whole no AC thing....but I digress.
Otherwise, they do have a great selection and pretty reasonable prices.
The bestest vintage shop in town, hidden amongst all the super hip shops on Sunset in Silverlake. This place has the most beautiful clothes every thing is a jem. The most wonderful people in the world work here, and I have spent many an afternoon hanging out and playing dress up here.
I heart Ragg Mop
love ragg mop!
they have a great selection of vintage clothes, the prices are ok, but you know you're going home with something fabulous.
i've never had a problem with anyone here and Vince was always nice to me.
(parking is a bit hectic)
this place is a gem!
