Love Katia!  This is my second review for her but this on behalf of my little boy.  Now giving a 6yr old a haircut is never easy but gave my son a great cut.  She was very careful around the ears using a comb to protect his ears and he didn't even flinch!

Results was a happy little boy who had a new hairstyle! :)

FINALLY. I think i'm developing a healthy relationship.

With a salon, that is. And my hair. This whole business of paying for hair styling is a very very sensitive thing. I'm very very weary of salons. Too many times have I paid an exuberant amount of money to walk away completely dissatisfied. And most people take hair very seriously you know, and really, if it gets f*cked up, you might as well have killed their cat cuz it's seriously, like the end of the world.

I'm actually NOT one of those people. butcher up my hair, i don't really care, just don't treat it like it's parasite living on my head that you need to get rid of. Don't rake it to rid me of my dead hairs till there's nothing left (which I've had a previous hair dresser do. *shivers*). But, I am pretty particular when it comes to my hair. My beef is that most stylists won't go where I want to go with my hair - they have understandable fears that I'll blame them for a shitty but REALLY OUT THERE job so they play it safe. But you see, I'm not a play it safe kind of girl. So wouldn't you know it, I did my hair by myself at home for as long as I can remember. Color, cut, everything. DYI style at Casa de Kim.

I see all you hair dressers cringing. Don't judge me! At least I made that first step, right? I was tired of having my hair break, and not grow past a certain point. I was tired of always having to touch up my layers because it grows out funny. So I went in search of a salon. I picked this salon because I saw the building when I was driving past it in Campbell. The sign had a very grungy industrial look to it that I liked. It told me that they are ~daring~. So, I looked them up on Yelp of course. Was not surprised to find that it had good reviews! And I was even happier to find that when I clicked on their website's link, there was a girl with crazy colored mohawk on the front splash of their web page greeting me. This told me that they won't judge me for having a part of my head shaved! Thank God almighty!! So I made an appointment right away (right away meaning a couple days later).

I got an appointment for the same day with Christian. Sue told me on the phone exactly how much he'll be, and that they only take cash or checks. How helpful and informative!! Very very refreshing. And then, when I was running late, I called them, and was reassured in the nicest way possible that I'd still be able to come in and see the stylist. Double score!!!

So I finally make it in, everyone was very warm and all was great and peachy.

And the cut? Love it!!! He did a great job especially with my bangs, which I wanted to cut short. Didn't cut too much off of everything else, even though I asked for all the "dead stuff off", which really, considering how damaged my hair is, would probably have been all but 3 inches from my roots had I gone anywhere else. He listened to everything I had to say, gave me suggestions (for DYI-ing it up at home, even!), gave me some useful references both hair related and not, and was just really cool in general. Easy conversation, and he didn't judge me for my questionable taste in music. Not outwardly, anyway. :D Genuinely seemed to care.

What more can you want in a salon? I've never gone back to a salon before, to be honest. Except for the Vietnamese lady I go to see on King&Tully that fixes all the f* ups after going to those salons I never return to. I don't think I'll be needing her anymore though, I think I found my salon. :]

ps. Oh, and, he was super duper reasonably priced. If this were ebay my feedback would say "A+++++ FAST! GREAT COMMUNICATION! TYTYTY!"

Meg seriously saved me. I went to a competing salon to dye my hair blonde and instead I got dry/damaged ORANGE hair...right before my college graduation, which by the way was nationally televised.
Meg made sure my hair was fixed before my big day and it looked awesome!
I am so happy. I can easily pick myself out of my Class photo as the only Blonde in School of Natural Sciences/ Engineering!
Meg is great, and she wont let you leave looking anything less than amazing!

Love Rage! I recently had my hair cut by Christian. He has only been there for a few months, but he is awesome! I was nervous because I have had some really bad haircuts over the past couple years, really bad...but he was great at communicating, so when we started talking I knew I wasn't about to get butchered. He was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to also. I love my haircut, and I am happy because I have been able to style it almost as good as he did....almost. I definitely recommend Christian!

This salon is great! I called and got an appointment the next day with Christina! She was very professional, and easy to talk to. When I got to the salon I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, and only gave Christina brief description of what I was looking for. I was very pleased with the results! She did an excellent job, and totally understood what cut I was going for! I highly recommend Christina!!

I''m always happy when I leave Rage.  Katelyn does a wonderful job with my hair and its color.

I've been going to Rage for about two years and I've gone through all sorts of different color phases from blue and purple to red and black, as well as different style phases....sometimes edgy, sometimes natural, sometimes whimsical and romantic.  I like change.

I recently went to see Katelyn not having a clue what I want to do with my hair.  As she knows, I don't always know what I want to do (something we laugh about), I just know that I want a change, and that it should look like I've done something to it....oh and that it should look awesome and get lots of compliments.  :)

I don't think I gave Katelyn much verbal direction to work with....just some words that described what I kind of wanted to go for like "edgy" and "sophisticated," "darker tones"??????  But Katelyn is the sweetest sweetie and she has a great memory.  With obvious talent and vision, she took all of the nonsensical word bank I gave her and, after going over color and cut ideas, she gave me exactly what I wanted, though I had no idea what that was when I walked in the door.

All along the process I knew my hair would turn out good because one, I loved the color (we picked a deep purple for an all over color with vibrant red highlights) and two, Katelyn is fun, enthusiastic and knowledgeable.  Its fun talking about colors with her and she gets excited about products and technique as well as the creation and art of her work.

Katelyn is also a really really nice person who's friendly, very personable, and cool to talk to.  She really does have a great memory and even though she's busy and has lots of clients, she remembers the details of what she learns about me, like, exactly where I work, what I do, and where I go to school.

Overall, Rage is a fun and friendly salon with a cool vibe and fresh fruit in the waiting area.  They are also fairly affordable and not pricey compared to other salons I've been to for the same services.  Given the capability of their stylist, Rage is well worth it.  The stylist accept cash or check only and each has their own pricing, so you can call and get an estimate before you go.  I'd recommend making an appointment in advance but they do accept walk-ins if a stylist is available.

Thanks Katelyn, Thanks Rage.

I don't know how she did it, but Katia whipped my short hair into an amazing updo for my wedding. It stayed put the entire day. I gave her an idea what I was looking for and she exceeded every expectation that I had. Grrl, I looked Good! I wish I had more reasons to wear my hair so fabulous!
P.S. When I finally took my hair down that night, I counted 32 bobby pins.

I'd picked up Meg's card from a guy at Coffee Society in the Pruneyard when I complemented him on his haircut in July. I desperately needed a haircut and so called her up and was able to get an appointment the same day. The cut is fantastic and conversation with her was easy and fun. I'm confident the cut will look great regardless of how I wear it and that it will grow out well too. Even better, she offers free bang trims to her clients!

I have never been one to spend good money on my hair, because I thought no one was going to know the difference, but after one trip to rage, and an appointment with Sonya, I am addicted. She was super awesome, and was able to read through my indecisiveness to give me exactly what I wanted and then some. The way she transformed my hair in turn my attitude in 2 1/2 hours was nothing short of a miracle. the cut, the color, the extra touches...she went above and beyond in service, and is an awesome artist!

It isn't cheap, but man, is it worth it....every damn penny!

I've seen three different stylists here so far (I'm a hair ho I know) and each one of them was great in their own way. I went to Kaitlyn because my (now ex) girlfriend went to her, and I had some good experiences with her, she knows her reds for sure! I saw Kat for just a do, she trimmed up my layers too and came up with a really cute do for the day, and she was a total sweetheart. Most recently I went to Megan (note: not meg) and really dug her. She had her own vision, and it came out looking awesome. She's def. more "edgy" than the other two girls I've seen here, so keep that in mind if your more conservative.
I have had a few problems with the receptionists, but the three girls I've seen all book their own appointments as well so you just hit up their cells directly (which is really easy).

Finding a stylist is pretty hard. After some bad haircuts... one right before my wedding... I don't want to talk about it. ;) let's just say everything you say = flat top. I found an amazing stylist in Meg (yes, she changes lives). She does everything that you ask and lets you know if it's not a good idea. She's super friendly and remembers you and how you like your haircut. I recommended her to my wife and she loved her too! It's worth every penny having peace of mind that you won't be walking out the door with a flat top.

Men's haircut $30
Cut and Color $140

If you are looking for a stylist look no futher than Meg.

So like many of you, I researched on Yelp before deciding on a salon. I picked Rage for one basic simple reason - they were open on Monday for me to call and make an appointment. That and the amazing reviews, of course. I was surprised when they offered me an appointment for today, just two days later. Awesome!

My stylist was Brooke. I was weary because there are a couple really bad reviews on her on here. Luckily, I did some research on the bad review(ers) and they seem completely bogus. And after meeting with and having Brooke do my hair, I know those reviews have to be fake! Brooke was AMAZING. This is coming from someone who has gotten A LOT of haircuts at a lot of different places, from beauty schools to high-end salons.

Brooke was professional and ready to go as soon as I arrived at 9am. I showed her a couple pictures of what I wanted and it was like she already knew what to do without thought. She chopped off about 6 inches or so (maybe it was less, but it felt like a lot) and gave me a really cute funky short haircut with adorable bangs, that was exactly what I wanted and needed! There wasn't a moment that I didn't trust her and I'm so happy with the end result. She also recommended some good products and other things I might need to keep my hair healthy.

I really am grateful to have found Brooke. After 10 years of bouncing around from person to person, I've finally found the one stylist that I'm going to stick to!

I've been getting my hair cut by Katie since September 2005. I had just moved to the Bay Area from the Midwest, and I had the hair to prove it. I had lifeless hair that was cut in a manner that did nothing to flatter my face shape.

The first time Katie cut my hair, I requested a cut that would add body and compliment my face shape. She cut my hair into a shoulder-length bob that looked great. Since I wasn't too familiar with using a blow dryer, or styling my hair at all for that matter, and she took extra time to show me how to dry my hair, and how to style it in a way to maximize the cut. Each time I've changed my cut since subsequently, she has taken a extra few minutes to discuss the proper styling technique and recommended styling products.

In addition to haircuts, Katie does a great job with highlighting. I was initially afraid to try highlighting my hair after some traumatic experiences in the past, but I was so pleased with the results from my first highlighting with Katie that I've been having her highlight my hair on a regular basis for the past two years.

I'll put it this way: once when I was visiting a different salon for spa services, the cashier asked which stylist I did my hair that day, and I told him that I was actually in for a spa service, not a hair appointment. Katie sculpts such great cuts and that are easy to maintain with basic techniques, and works with color so well that you should get compliments well after you've walked out of the salon.

And if you're unable to get an appointment with Katie, try booking with Meg. While Katie was on maternity leave, Meg took over my haircut and color appointments. Her haircutting and highlighting always yielded great results, and she's really fun to talk to while you're getting your hair done.

A series of really bad haircuts left me hesitant to take any risks with my hair, but after getting a recommendation for this place from a co-worker and reading Yelp reviews, I finally decided it was time to chop off all my hair and go for an actual hairSTYLE.

I was able to get an appointment with Paige the same day I called.  I brought in two pictures and sort of asked her to combine the two styles - she IMMEDIATELY knew exactly what I was looking for and went to work.  My hair turned out great - it's a super-short layered bob with blunt bangs and is exactly what I envisioned.

Paige was great, but I really get the feeling you would be in good hands with anyone there.  The atmosphere is great, too.  Everyone is super-friendly and it's not intimidating at all (I'm easily intimidated by hair salons).

I also got my eyebrows done by Katia Rivera.  She's very attentive to detail and picky (in a good way), and did a great job even though she ended up having to do them halfway through my haircut.

You'd expect that paying $70 will get you someone that knows a little about hair style, right? Well, unfortunately, in my experience, Supercuts did a better job with my hair than this salon.

I went in there looking for a Mohawk, somewhat rebel but I came out looking like a NERD with a short hair and a stupid spike on the front!!! The lady didn't really know "hair style" at all. I'm guessing they do their staff hair somewhere else because they all look ok.

I don't mind paying good money on my hair ($100-$200 on a guy's haircut) as long as I receive a great haircut, but I believe this salon only gets good reviews for the great looking gals there. However, if I wanted to check out women, I would've gone to Pink Poodle!

BTW: I gave them 2 stars, because the lady was nice... that's all.

*** QUICK UPDATE: Sonya contacted me recently about this previous comment. I'm sorry for the insensitivity on that. As a guy, I appreciate all women who take the extra effort to look great specially the ones at this salon, but you have to understand that even though the stylists look DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, I went to get a simple hair style and didn't get what I was expecting. Sorry, but I'm a business man and don't mix feelings with business. Thanks for pointing this out Sonya!!! PS: Your tattoos are very cool, I envy you!!!

Brooke, my stylist moved from Alchemy Salon to Rage a little over a month ago and I tagged along with her. I will say this, I like the atmosphere that Alchemy created much better than at Rage. This place seems like a little maze with lots of little rooms with stylists bunched up together and the rooms are decorated in dark colors which makes the entire area seem small and a little cramped. Brooke's new station is one little mirror and the worlds smallest table under it and that's it, which would seem like a really troublesome area to work with, but she likes the new shop and staff, so I'll take her word for it.

When we entered the shop (I went along with my mom who also gets her hair done by Brooke) we sat for several minutes with no one greeting us, or even noticing our presence. It was a little disappointing to know that we are just going to have to flag someone down as they are walking by in order to get attention here.

And another sad note to end my story on is that they do not carry my beloved Prive products that Alchemy does. I am having the hardest time finding them anywhere but at that salon, and so the thought that I am going to have to go to one salon to get my products, and another to get my hair done is a little sad. Not to mention that I loved going into Alchemy and being in the open, inviting space that they have created there.

So I went to this place a while back, after doing my research on yelp for a trendy..local salon.

Back then I was a blonde so I was looking for something to bring out my color, touch up my roots, and a trendy hair cut.

I can't remeber the guys name who worked on my hair, but he was very very sweet! Did his best to make me feel comfortable. That is why I gave 2 stars, Downfall was it cost me $220.00 and I looked the EXACT same when he was done! It was like Carol Brady in the movie "A very brady sequel" when David Spad does her hair and she looks the exact same at the end!

Pros:
Cute little trendy salon
Very friendly
Close to my job

Cons:
Overpriced, and you'll look the exact same!!!!

I've been going to Katia for about 2 years now! She does a great job and really really takes her time. It never feels rushed when I get my hair done and you can tell that she is really big on going slowly and not rushing through, which is amazing because I know she takes her time and really cares about the result. I have very dark hair and Katia managed to get a beautiful blonde color on me.. .NO ORANGE at all! I've gotten so many compliments on my color and I've already referred a few people to her. She is adorable and she does an amazing job! I love her! :)

I'm the worst kind of obsessed with my hair, meaning that I want it to look good, especially for special events (let's face it, I'm a software engineer; I don't have to look OR smell good for work...though I usually try anyway, just out of courtesy), but rather than scheduling a hair appointment every few weeks, I'll wake up in the morning, realize that I've got a gig or a date, realize that my hair looks like it's been taken over by elves (the evil kind, not the sleek LOTR kind), and freak out.

That happened today (gig).  It doesn't help that I've been salon hopping for the last year or so, so going out and getting a haircut is not a trivial task.  I tried calling the place I'd gone last time, Salon Blu, but left a message and got no call back.  Enter Yelp!  Based on the recommendations here, I called up Rage, and they gave me an appointment two hours later with Brooke.

I got there right on time, and the front waiting room was totally packed.  I had to dance around a little to stay out of peoples' way, but it didn't bother me -- I like there to be a certain energy about a salon when I get there, just to make me feel for a moment like I'm young and hip.  Rage had that energy.  Brooke called me back to her station about 10 minutes after the hour (not bad, all things considered), and let me briefly describe what my cut used to be (it's been 10 weeks), what it was before that, and why I was bored with all of the above.

Brooke then did exactly what I wanted, which was to (a) come up with a vision of her own, (b) describe it to me and got my OK, and (c) execute said vision very well.  She was friendly, interesting, clearly knew what she was doing, took care of the details (trimming my eyebrows, for example, which were reaching across the room for the orange juice and threatening the other customers), and was just generally cool, and made me feel cool.

I've made an appointment to go back in 6 weeks!

It took me a while to finally find a hair stylist who understood how I want my hair done.

I finally found Meg at Rage Salon.  Not only is she one of the sweetest, nicest people you'll ever meet, but she's really fun to talk to and really remembers things you tell her.  This is great because its really nice to have a stylist that is interested in YOU and not just cutting a hair cut, taking her money and moving onto the next head.

It's a great feeling to finally find someone who does the job right.  Meg has been cutting my hair for about a year (maybe a little more) and I hope she never moves away because I will be devastated.

My roommate and I dubbed this year as, "EXTREME 08" vowing to try new things and live life on the edge (as much as we possibly could within our feeble budgets and our meager wardrobes).

With that said, my roommate booked us for tandom hair appointments with his tried-and-true stylist, Courtney at Rage. Mind you, we live in SF and he treks it all the way down there to get his jew-do done by Ms. Coco. This chick should be good.

After work, I roll in late (naturally) and sit down. My hair is fried and 8 months over due for a trim. My boyfriend had been begging me to keep the long locks but I was frankly tired of it. I couldn't hide it anymore in "low bun" (when I'm in a rush) and I was tired of blow drying, straightening, round brushing, blah blah blah.

When I arrived, my roommate already had his hair dye in and Courtney decided to let him do the first cut while he set. Before I could say "Meshugga", Jared grabbed my 10 inch long ponytail and chopped it off!

Courtney went to town on my head; she cut that hair and gave me a "starburst" of fabulous colors, reds, butterscotch, caramel. I immediately felt lighter, more confident, rather sassy. My hair, beast-like, ridiculously thick and curly before, was smooth, funky and finally trendy. Since having my new lil' do, I"ve received so many compliments on it's style. I can wear it stick straight or curly, and she cut it so well that it is able to go between both styles rather effortlessly.

I lovelovelove my hair and will be forever in debt to Courtney to helping me achieve another notch on my Extreme 08 bedpost.

PS Boyfriend still loves long hair. But really. It's my head, so there (me sticking out tongue).

I'd like to comment on the owners, who scarcely receive any attention in these reviews.  They are great!  Our stylist had a last-minute emergency and couldn't make it to ourappointment.  The great owners found another stylist, who on one hour's notice took us in and gave a great cut and style!  I was very impressed.

To top it off, the owners had just gotten married, so they were very busy and about to go on their honeymoon.  I have to say, to put clients before rushing off on their honeymoon is dedication indeed.

Thank you, Rage.  I give you a strong recommendation!

PS: This is a real review.  I just think that excellent leadership/management is something that I'd like to add to the overwhelming positive reviews on Yelp about all the great stylists there.

Rage is awesome! I went here for a haircut from Paige 6 months ago and she did a great job. I got my hair/makeup done 1 month ago for my wedding by Katelyn and she was awesome. She was super down to earth and got exactly what I was going for. My bridesmaids and I, and mother had a whole room and got our hair done together which was great. The owner was very accomidating to all of our groups needs and phone calls. The girls even gave us mimosas while we were there- that was an extra touch that was too cool! Everybody looked great and was happy with their do's. Price wise, they are average for an updo (50+) - You pay a bit more but get what you pay for - I ve learned that after going on the cheap many times :) Rage is a fun place that is not intimidating at all and does a great job.

So Eryn and I have been together for almost 7 months and we're still going strong!

Sounds a bit ambiguous...

Anyway I've been RETURNING to Eryn for the last 7 months and have not ONCE been disappointed. Recently I decided to change my look. When I was young -- in fact up to the age of 16 -- I had long hair. It was AWFUL! Wavy and unkempt.. whatever.

I explained what I wanted to do (this was actually almost 2 months ago) and she sort of gave me the plan. She cut it and we parted for a few weeks. I went back, we talked, she inspected, trimmed a bit, and set me up for another few weeks later. I just had my third appointment and we are making progress! I never though I could pull of longer hair but it's turning out great! She's totally talking me through everything (it's hard because I have HORRIBLE memories of having long hair) and letting me know that there will be some weird times and my hair will have some times in the growing out stages where it will look crappy.

My point is she can see a finished product before it is started That is a talent that not many people have. I have 100% faith in her and I want everyone to know that!

...

so...

Go see Eryn!

I just got a cute and flirty short do from Katia! This is my first time ever going short in years and I only did it because it was so hard to resist not trusting Katia's word when she says, "I have a vision and you will LOVE it if you TRUST ME and just LET ME do it!" It's kind of like listening to people rave and rave (and not shut up) about a restaurant that serves undeniably delicious food and then you wanna go and try it for yourself to see what all the fuss is about... I wanted to see what all Katia's fuss about how much she LOVES HAIR was all about so I let her do it.

I'M GLAD I DID! ...I absolutely love my new hair. That's a lot to say being that I let her chop off at LEAST 6 inches of hair.

I'm not gonna lie, I was actually annoyed before I came here because it took me so damn long to get an appointment at Rage! I even left messages on the voice-mail and it still took me almost 3 days to book one. (Hence, 4 stars).

But when I got there, it was hard not becoming a fan. Katia is a blunt yet bubbly petite girl with lots of style. She is not afraid to tell you the truth so don't expect any candy coated hair advice. She will tell you your hair is dry, flat, and boring! (I know because she said that about my hair!) However, she will tell you in a manner that doesn't kick you while you're already down. It's more like confirming what you already knew in the first place.

She charged my cut at $60 but I think it was worth every dollar and I even gave her a generous tip to show my appreciation. She told me which products to use to get the styles I wanted but did not pressure me to buy any products whatsoever. She also showed me different styles that would go good with my hair since the style was new to me. I was her last costumer and she was getting calls to go out after work but she still spent time with me to help shed some more "hair" light on me.

I will definitely be coming back and I will definitely be looking for Katia.

After all too many years of going to really sketchy, scary ass mall hair salons, SuperCuts :::shiver::: where the stylists barely spoke English and I sweated and freaked out as they botched my hair I said enough.  A few months ago I was getting married and knew that someone had to salvage my hair and make me look good.  I listened to my faithful Yelpers and found Rage which is super close to my apartment (I'm all about supporting local businesses).  I saw that Jordan was mentioned pretty highly on here and decided to schedule an appointment with him.  For the first two cuts we stayed pretty safe -- only trimming the bare minimum (wedding hair) but after I came back we mixed it up and chopped off about 4 inches.

Jordan is a blast to have as a hair stylist and I feel completely safe in his chair.  I'll never again set foot into a mall salon and will follow Jordan just about anywhere he goes.  I've even turned my husband on to him and his hair has been looking particularly spectacular lately.

Definitely looking forward to my next hair appointment and maybe even doing some highlighting or something a little funky.  So there ya go -- Jordan's the best -- but lets just keep it our little secret ....

I got my hair done here well over two months ago and I've been meaning to write a review ever since.

I got the brilliant idea to get an A-line cut and went to some cheap-o place at the mall. The lady got the right concept but she didn't  have a clue as to how to cut a thick head of hair. Needless to say, I ended up looking more like Dora the Explorer than the funky goddess that I imagined.

So I lived with my haircut for two weeks, and after enduring yet another taunt from my loving husband I caved. I KNEW I had to get my hair done ASAP. I called around to a bunch of  highly rated hair salons to try to get in on Saturday (this was a Thursday). One of the salons I called ( very highly rated) was booked but they recommended Michelle over at Rage. When I called, the receptionist told me she was all booked up on Saturday but then I hear some chitter chatter in the background and it turns out Michelle is able to get me in after all!

When I arrived, Michelle took me to her station immediately. As she stifled her laugh (I imagine) at my Dora cut, she told me that she could cut it in a way that would be flattering to my thick mane and also do some color that wouldn't damage my already dry hair. I gave her free reign. All I can say is that I love my color and I LOVE my cut. She is truly talented with that pair of scissors. I don't think I've ever gotten so many compliments on my hair before. Thanks Michelle for killing off Dora!

After spending several months trying out hair places in San Jose that were often too pretentious for their own good, I finally stumbled upon Rage from a coworker's recommendation. One day at work, I was complaining about yet another butchered haircut  (because, as I like to put it, I don't have typical "white people" hair since it's so thick and coarse-- damn those Eastern European roots) my optimistic and thick, curly-haired counterpart mentioned Courtney at Rage who cuts her monstrosity. I figured it was worth a shot so I made an appointment and headed down to dreamy Campbell.

The salon is located in a house that's a lot larger on the inside than it appears from the street. Lots of copper-colored walls, purple draped ceilings and funky carpets that match the personalities of the funkier employees. They even have fruit in case you get hungry while waiting. Who doesn't love an unexpected orange?

Anyway, the reason I like this place and the reason I keep going back is because of Courtney. Not only is she good at what she does (and totally affordable), but she's extremely fun and a great conversationalist. She knows that my hair grows fast and will look completely different in two weeks and cuts it accordingly, not just for the moment. And she tells me when my suggestions will look bad-- I appreciate that.

The only thing to keep in mind is since all the people rent their stations, you can only pay with cash or checks. As part of a generation that relies on its ATM card for everything, I always pray that I brought my checkbook by the time I pull into the parking lot.

This review is for Michelle:

Heard about Michelle from yelp and placed my hopes on her for a decent curly haircut. I was not disappointed. The cut is better than decent and the price was right at $40. Next time I need a haircut I won't have to wait it out in fear of someone butchering my curls. I can just go to Michelle, and that's a relief. She's also the funniest hair stylist I've had. Talking to her makes the time fly by.
She only takes clients who specifically ask for her, so you can't walk in and hope to get her. Call and say you've been referred. She only accepts checks or cash.
The parking lot is small and while I was there I overheard the stylists talking about how cars always get hit in the parking lot. So I would just stick with street parking.

So I never, in the 8 years I have lived in the Bay Area, gone back to the same person to get my haircut.  I used to wait till I went home for the holidays to get my haircut by the one person I trusted.

Obviously a rating for a hair salon is going to depend on who is cutting your hair.

I went to Rage with the thought that I would go here get a cut and then go to another place after being rather dissatisfied with the cut.  totally not the case.  I was lucky enough to get Katelyn and have been back to her almost 10 times since the first cut.  She always gives me a new style I really like.

The only reason I don't give Rage a 5 star is that I never get called back anymore when trying to book an appointment with her.  As a result I left and have gone somewhere else (my clippers).

My review is for Brett Gordon, friendly staff, and owners of Rage Hair Salon of Campbell CA 95008

First off if you are not happy with your current stylist you should GO TO RAGE and meet with the owners to seek out a hair stylist that will better meet your needs!!!!

I personally love Brett Gordon for his artistic abilities, his bright personality, and his professional honesty! FIVE STAR HUMAN BEING ALL THE WAY! Oh yey! He always delivers sexy beautiful hair through product, color, and cut!

When you first enter Rage you would never guess that there are so many different private rooms to enjoy each with its own personality! The atmosphere is very eclectic, hip, and fun! So if you want  a place that has heart go to Rage!

Sarah Collins has been my hair stylist at Rage for years and I've never once been disappointed. No matter if it's a haircut for a special event where I have to look my best or just a routine cut - she always makes sure I leave with a great cut.

Book your appointment with her at (408) 439-1375.

I just went to Rage yesterday and it was great!  I saw Christian who was super patient with me and explained step by step what I should do to style my hair at home after he he did a great cut.  I am really looking forward to when I can grow it out a little bit and we can work on fun retro hair!  He enjoys doing retro hair if you are into that!  Rage is currently remodeling and it looks great!  Also, super thanks to Sue who got me in quickly when I was having a little freak out about my hair (didn't like my cut from another salon) and got back to me right away by email.  Just remember to bring that check book since they don't take cards (I understand how its easier on the business side though).
