8 reviews for Radisson Hotel Dublin
I've worked as a roadie for a DJ for a couple of events here.
One was a high school reunion and the other was a wedding.
There are several meeting rooms in this facility varying in size. The largest is the only one that is appropriate for a wedding. The others are decent sized, but are best for meetings.
There is a small courtyard where ceremonies take place outside the banquet room. It's adequate for small weddings, but nothing very special. There's a small footbridge, a half gazebo, a fountain and landscaping. For what it is, it's not bad.
The banquet room is typical as far as hotels go. Loud carpet, bar in the corner, etc. They use white chair covers to disguise the standard issue steel legged chairs.
An advantage to this facility is the banquet doors open onto the courtyard, so during an event, your guests can mingle inside or out. Additionally, there are tables and large space heaters outside. The service is friendly but very casual. The coordinators are organized and detailed.
It's obviously not expensive, but doesn't appear cheap or shabby.

We only stayed here over night. It was pretty nice. We had a king size bed and the mattress was one of those sleep number beds. It was really fun to test out this bed and see what its all about. The only thing that this room lacked was a microwave...we only stayed one night so it wasn't something we needed but if i were to stay here again for a longer period, its definitely something we would want. The room was really clean, and i enjoyed having 2 sinks when getting ready in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, request a room away from the freeway because you can hear the cars driving by all night long. I would definitely stay here again.
I had a conference to attend in San Ramon and they put me in this hotel for a night. I didn't think it was horrible, but some of their amenities were not what they said. Their "gym" was a tiny room with just three machines, the heat cranked up to about 80 degrees! Plus it overlooked a nearby conference room so everyone can watch you work out. I hate that.
Their sleep number bed came equipped with no remote in my room, thus no sleep numbering for me. The bathroom with oatmeal soap was ok. Just a place to sleep, nothing spectacular but not horrible. I triple checked for anything in the sheets and found a dark mark on the pillow case, but not scary enough to switch rooms. I just didn't use that pillow.
At least they had an easy checkout like a big hotel would, but I would probably never pick this place on my own.

Came down here to Dublin for a quick business trip and booked the place through http://Priceline.com. The problem with priceline is you never know which hotel you will end up in, in the area you choose. But I only bid $40 to see if it would take. I got this place a supposed to be upscale place. Well, it might have been a while ago but it is an older hotel and not as elegant as the newer ones. But hey, for $40, I'm not complaining. The room is smallish abut most people here are on business anyhow so who is entertaining in the room anyway. If I was on a romantic weekend, I would pick somewhere else. I see all the low ratings for the service and rooms, but I haven't experienced any thing that would make me mark them down. AND the wi-fi is free in the rooms and works great...that makes me happy! I hate some of the fancier places that charge up to $14 a day to have it in the room. So, overall, a nice place to stay for the price, tip, use http://priceline.com and save tons. Even if I'm not paying for this personally, it looks good at work if I save money.

I travel constantly and this is the number one worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
We checked in late at night wanting to go to bed and found a duvet COVERED in hair. We were moved rooms - not to a better room, for our trouble, but a worse room with a duvet ALSO covered in hair.
Room service was missing items each of the three separate times we ordered it and never fixed.
The hotel was hosting some white-trash wedding the last night we were there and the drunken adult guests were running rampant throughout the hotel. Our non-smoking hotel room was connected to another room where these charming wedding guests were smoking so close to the door that our room was filled with the stench. We called repeatedly to the front desk who finally, after midnight, sent a large man who burst into our room, neglected to show any type of professional identification only to announce "I don't smell no smoke."
Excuse me? And this is rated a three-star hotel? Don't be fooled people! We will never stay in any Radisson ever again. It was filthy, the staff was rude and our complaints have remained unanswered by corporate headquarters.

Wow! Am I shocked and surprised to read all the negative reviews.
I must say that I have stayed here once back in January 2006 and had a wonderful stay. Very nice hotel with wonderful service. Lovely looking restaurant. Lovely looking lobby with plenty of couches. A small and wonderful business center with computers which was why I booked for this hotel in the first place.
The room was excellent and had everything that I could have imagined. No complaints from me.
If I were in the area and wanted to escape away, especially somewhere very close, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Most travel sites rate this hotel 3 stars. What are they smoking? I think because they say they have a spa in the other building and you can get room service that's the only way they qualify. I always use priceline so I never know what hotel I'll get until after I pay, and when ever this one shows up I dread it. Super noisy rooms. Also they promote they have "sleep number" beds in every room. I have only got one of those beds once in the 20 times I have stayed here. No shampoo in the room, the maid didn't have any, and she said "we've been out for a while". Front desk has a sign.."what one thing could have we done better?" my answer is: truth in advertising and list your hotel as 1 star hotel, not 3
We had a lecture here and booked a room for the guest speaker for 2 nights. We were informed by our visitor that the hallways and rooms were filthy! Horrified, we immediately booked him a different hotel for the second night. We called to complain and never got any response. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone!
