The Radisson is a solid place for the wary business traveler to lay their head.

It's definitely outdated, but the staff are pleasant and there's a nice courtyard area to sit outside in case you get some time to relax. Like Kimberly B., I was underwhelmed by the "Executive Wing" which was just a slightly larger room. I like the "sleep number" beds, where you can dial in the firmness or softness of the mattress.

The restaurant always seems deserted, but you can get food in the bar and there's usually a game on. The room service has some good options and is quick.

I prefer the slightly newer Courtyard which has larger rooms with kitchenettes and isn't too much more in cost.

Well, it's no Boulderado.  But when I was making last minute reservations for me and two business associates from India (thus needing three rooms) this was one of the few left in the area with rooms at a reasonable rate.  The DNC was in town.

The Boulderado was sold out (actually had 1 room left).  Same at the St Julien. The Courtyard wanted $230 a night! I've never paid that for a Courtyard, in any city.

The Radisson at least wasn't trying to take advantage of people.  $129 a night, with breakfast in the morning in the attached Fusion restaurant.  So 2 stars for that.

Room was spacious enough with comfortable beds that you adjust the firmness to your comfort. Add another star.

Free wireless internet - good performance too.  Add another star.

No King bed for me when I checked in.  Minus a 1/2 star.

Free newspaper in morning.  Plus 1/2 star.

Tired looking rooms, in wall air conditioning unit. Minus 1 star.

Train going by at 2:00 in the morning.  Minus 1/2 star.

Another train at 3:30 am.  Minus another 1/2 star.

Very friendly staff in hotel, Fusion restaurant, and housekeeping.  Plus 1 star

Car alarm going off outside my window at 7:00 am because the stupid idiot pushed the wrong button on his key fob.  And then he didn't have the brains to push it again to turn it off. No deductions because I was already up and it's not the hotels fault.  But I just had to get that off my chest.

But I will take  1/2 star off for the ground floor room looking out on the parking lot.

That comes to 2.5 stars.  And since it's a long weekend, I'll round up to 3.

Will I stay there again?  Probably not unless the DNC is coming back to town again soon.

I'm thinking that this hotel has been around for a while because it definitely has a more old-school feel to it than other Radissons I've been in.

The fiance booked an executive suite for his business trip. We arrived to the hotel around 12:30am or so and there was only 1 person at the front desk around that time, so we had to wait a while before getting checked in.

The executive suite is in its own private wing so you need to use your room key to get into the wing. When we were opening the door, I was expecting a huge room with a large bathroom inside. But I was slightly disappointed to see that the room looked like any other standard room, and the bathroom wasn't big at all! The only difference was that the bed was king-size and it was the kind where you can adjust the firmness for both sides.

Our refrigerator wasn't working too well either and froze over our milk and food, even though it wasn't on max setting. The 2 couches that were in our room were slightly dirty too, marked with weird stains... and I don't even want to think about how they got there. But it was nice to have another sink outside of the bathroom area so that you wouldn't have to share. I wish the lighting for the room was brighter as well.

Cleaning service was good though, and the place was spic and span whenever we arrived back at our suite. It was nice to have the ladies make a couple rounds throughout the day so that we wouldn't have to rush out in the morning.

Overall, it's quiet and quaint. The facility is older like I mentioned previously, but suitable for someone going on a business trip.
